you said it, I didn't. We are a democratic society for sure but we have always adhered to the rule of law and now that you are upset about that because your savior has been dinged, you change the name to suit you.
put the glass down.... get a grip.
I knew it when you started at number one and didn't call us a constitutional republic.
what the hell is a representative democracy anyway?
one too many martinis tonight?
yes , I think it was BnB who raised my awareness. I had some worries at the time too. It did make me more tired and queasy than I was used to but I just chalked it up to years of alcoholism and I got better. I wouldn't have done it otherwise, plus I took it with the covid shots so that probably didn't help.. More of a strain on my already abused immune system..
My DNA was probably yelling back at me, but at least I know I'll never get shingles unless they are delivering them to a roof I'm working on.
LOL I can only share life experiences with others so they don't have to go through the hell that is mine.. Nobody's going to listen anyway, you know how this shit works.
I cry into the canyon before I jump off the cliff and there's always someone there to give me a little nudge so I'll just STFU already..
I need to try the ring toss game. Sounds like good clean fun!
I was always good at dropping the clothespin into the water bottle so that might give it a new twist for my partner. Of course all my rashes must be gone before we fire up the national anthem and throw out the first pitch. 😷
that's what they wanted to do to us.. my mom didn't allow it. I'm not sure if it was a good or a bad thing but I remember times with strep and a 103 temperature with mom pouring ice on me in the bathtub. Cool way to spend spring break. LOL one night I was 102 and had an important hockey game.. My mom refused but pops took me anyway and I hat tricked..
He gave me a a shot of Jack before and after the game and told me it would clear me right up. She was so pissed that they got into one of their epic fights as I sat in a tub of ice. LOL I'm not as resilient these days, but I know when it's coming and don't mess around anymore.
I know this might sound weird but my pediatrician wanted our tonsils removed back then and my mom flatly denied any type of surgery on us.. Now, I can't speak for my sis and it's something we never talked about but my tonsils still get inflamed in the springtime every year.
I just went through it.. I take a little wood stick just longer than a normal toothpick and start jabbing at the white pimple like blisters that form on my tonsils. Sometimes I can pick them out but normally, I push them through to the other side because it's like a worm hole. A little pile of hard pus always comes out and it really stinks. Like bad..
Even after I quit smoking and drinking there's still a buildup back there so I know they are sort of still doing their job which is to catch toxins before they go into your throat but it's not a pleasant experience by any means and I don't wish that on anyone..
Fotunately my breath doesn't suffer that consequence but it is a rugged ordeal and I'm just in tune to what I've dealt with my whole life. They are overgrown and have so much scar tissue on them that they collect stuff faster than my teeth do.
My doc says it's just a problem I will deal with forever but it's better to get the crap out then come have to take an antibiotic for life and have her do the same thing every year so I got that going for me.
Sometimes home remedies work. LOL
Me and sis both dealt with tonsillitis and in her case scarlet fever. Strep throat was our yearly occurrence, usually around easter every year. LOL we should probably have not been outside eating dirt....
same with me.... and I'm a bit later. I actually had chicken pox at one time and my mom had to tie a pair of socks to my hands so I wouldn't scratch them. I got the shingles vaccine a couple years ago and so far, fingers crossed.
soccer er' I mean football is cool. I love matches when I have time to kill.. Those women and men are some of the purest athletes I've ever witnessed. To be able to float up and down the field er' I mean pitch for 50 minutes in a half nonstop with all the beating and banging going on is just amazing to me. The strategy involved is also something special.
Cricket is a different story but I don't understand it all quite yet. I grew up playing baseball so my mind is always on a game but with cricket, I can't understand what the hell is going on. I'd like to learn though, just to have a good conversation piece at parties....
It took me a bit to figure out Lacrosse but that's fun to watch sometimes too, like oh it's hockey without the ice.
We have a rugby team at our stadium here and I've seen a couple matches.. I don't know the actual rules but they sure do beat the piss out of one another.
explain to us what woke means. Then tell us about DEI and CRT..
I'm not sure you think that's the flex you think it means.
Perhaps the poorer places can elect some democrats and get rich too? Wouldn't that be cool?
Plus your GOP doesn't represent any one of their constituents outside of their own vested interests these days.. It's kind of tricky to understand but I know you'll figure it out someday.
I vote for sides from each party and always have. There are a bunch of down ballot races and because I'm able to get my mail in vote, I can personally vet my own choices at my kitchen table instead of hastily checking off boxes at the ballot box without a cheat sheet in my pocket.
Sometimes I'll like a candidate, not for the party they stand for but because of who they are and the message they send out. I'll admit that in the last few cycles the GOP foists candidates that are nuttier than squirrel poop but the door is always open.. I'm not prejudiced and I'm sure a lot of people here would say the same.
Oh please, I bought my first home in 1995 which is the one I still live in today... I was 25 years old and me and my girlfriend, who eventually became my wife, busted our ass for it. I still work now and I'm 54 years old so social security, my union pension, my annuities and other things are still at least 8 years away if I needed to hang it up...
There's always a chance connie.. I was lucky I guess because I knew a little bit about home construction and could fix stuff that broke or was already broken.
The economy has collapsed three times in my adult life and each time I overcame it because I kept on busting my ass and went where the money was, not the handouts. Buying a home is still cheaper than renting even with the jacked up interest rates. I own a rusty old truck that is almost as old as my house because I never needed the newest fancy thing to make me feel important.
Living frugally unfortunately is not a lesson the children are taught by most these days.
Even me, coming in to age in the 90's had to find a few more creative ways to hustle for extra money.. We all had to do it. I had to do it because I didn't have a set of parents to fall back on that I could whine to, or an established internet that I could read propagandist bullshit all day from either.
Your pissing and moaning into an empty pot chamber is not impressing anyone. LOL Biden's economy in the last month created more jobs than an entire four years of the last administration and has doubled the amount annually from the jobs that were lost due to the pandemic.
Opportunities abound in every sector. Yeah of course stuff is a little more expensive but name one time in your life history where prices went backwards. You can't because that's never happened.. Wage increases are outpacing inflation and Memorial day weekend saw the highest amount of plane travel ever recorded so tell us how you are hurting so bad. When I was young we packed the tent, grill and went to a campground to have fun.. We didn't fly out of state, get a motel room and dine out at 5 star restaurants..
Your logic is seriously flawed..
Can't wait for the new bird flu that's coming down the pipe to raise the price of produce again so you can blame Fauci or someone else for the producers lax regulations and outright flaunting of the CDC, OSHA and USDA rules after your great conservative leaders spent all their time trying to effectively gut them..
Or, the next 12 year old kid who accidentally falls off of a roof at a construction site or gets sucked into a meat grinder at a processing plant or dies of heatstroke because water breaks are forbidden now.. That'll all be Biden's fault too, right?
How about the next woman who dies, or best case scenario is left barren because she could not access proper healthcare due to the fact that she cannot travel hundreds of miles to another state to get it? Biden again?
give me a break..
LOL the guy at the convenience store/gas station I frequent is a huge cricket fan. He is from India and is often watching live feeds on his phone.. Last year I asked him what he was always watching and he was beaming with pride to explain how India was the top ranked team in the world and was headed to the finals. I know absolutely nothing about the sport but I tried to pay some attention after that.
It turned your cricketroos upset them in the final and he was so down on it that he stopped watching for awhile. LOL I told him not to be so upset about it because there's always next year and I explained my trials and tribulations of my favorite sports teams.. Next time I see him I'm going to ask him what his take on this match was.....
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-67471098
It must be catching on here in the states as well because even we are building a stadium for it in Oswego... It's about an hour from where I live but maybe someday I'll go catch a match with my storekeeper friend and he can explain the game to me in real time. 🤓
https://www.oswegoil.org/i-want-to/learn-about/crickets-stadium
LOL I work at a zoo. I volunteer my time for candidates that I admire, so no pay there.. I did start becoming a poll worker so I do receive some measly compensation for that after election days and I do find it rewarding to be part of the process.
The rest of the garbage you spew is baseless and has no foundation in any type of reality I know, so maybe you can go suck on an egg or two and get back to me.
exactly... and she told me Mayorkas testified in several hearings that there was no problem but could not produce one video. You know why? Because the only hearing he testified in was their bullshit impeachment. He even told them at the time that he could only work with what congress gives him and the laws of the country..
The GOP has been doing an end around on this for the last 30 years and it's growing quite tiresome..
It's got them all worked up into a lather as thick as what is coming out of their standard bearer's mouth.
Oh and the same guy from that interview ,Ortiz, the head of border patrol was all in for the bi-partisan bill that your lovely GOP killed on the floor because their cheeto jesus uses it as a cudgel to run on, he has nothing else and America sees them too..
A whole grab bag of lying scum, pandering to the smallest bit of our electorate because a few billionaires give them money to tout their white christian nationalist beliefs.
are you kidding me?
so you have no proof of Mayorkas saying anything like you think he said but you ask me some bullshit question to draw my ire? That picture is Stormy Daniels and Kathy Griffin. Neither of one which I closely resemble but you can google either one of them and figure it out for yourself why they are in my signature....
Have a nice day.
how about listing the actual study and giving us your medical opinion instead of taking the NY post's opinion on it.
Maybe, just possibly death rates remained high because people either didn't have access to or refused to receive the vaccines?
The actual paper is inconclusive, it merely points out excess death rates in a three year period when the virus was running roughshod. The side effects from thee vaccines are actually negligible but it's fun to sensationalize stuff , isn't it.
What are the numbers now?
https://bmjpublichealth.bmj.com/content/bmjph/2/1/e000282.full.pdf
got the video?
Mayorkas never said any such thing.
Mayorkas dutifully denied there was a problem.
Quit making stuff up. He was actually chastised for blaming the previous administration and saw what was coming. The GOP refused to work with him or Biden and started a grade school food fight instead of working to solve the crisis.
get your facts straight before you go criticizing people.
note the date...
https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/17/politics/fact-check-mayorkas-border-statement-mexico-migrants/index.html
lucky bastard. lol Is that Cricket Hill behind you?
I worked on a bunch of stuff at Google's west side location. I watched the neighborhood flip from a shit house to an incredible uprising, re inspiring people like me. Plus working at google was really cool. We were just doing construction but all the amenities were there for us. LOL I never ate so good for free in my life and most likely never will again.
People might bitch and moan, maybe even use the word gentrification. I'm here to say there's nothing wrong with that from my perspective. That site was nothing but a hell hole for years and I knew it but once they moved in , it turned that area straight back around.
They give back too, a lot of people don't know that and would just rather complain.
yeah, I never lived in the city because it's not my preference. I do live in cook county though which encompasses a ton of area outside of the city. We have forests, lakes and ponds just like you..
That's where all your bullshit for today started. The only difference is I've seen things and you haven't. I don't mean to be a dick but lumping me into some kind of urban hellscape is not scoring any points like you think it does.
I don't blame anyone for moving out here. I never could figure out why people wanted to live downtown in the first place. Unless you're like blackhawks who has lake micihgan at his doorstep and lakefront beauty down trails as far as the eye can see.. I could do that in a heartbeat but these days there's no way I'd be able to afford it. I missed the boat on that one and chose to stay out here..
Quite beautiful here, plenty of forests for fresh air too...
I can't argue with that and it's no secret that my loved ones live in the eastern tip of TN. I've seen your toothless wonders that have brains only big enough to stuff a sack of shit into. Not my cup of tea but to each their own..
I almost moved there a year or so ago and it's still not off the table.
Have a good two bud, maybe three, there's plenty up here to go around.
It's not all of WI but areas there are really out of line. It's not the kids fault but rather their parents and rural areas tend to promote that sort of behavior as a badge of honor.. Some of them eventually grow up and enjoy the diverse world we live in, others are stuck in the hatred for even an out of town visitor. I'm not one to comment on all that but I've seen it first hand because I used to frequent that area and their little pimples of ski hills when I was young..
As I got older, I learned about more things that kept me out of that herd mentality that seems to define all the Trumpies today. I learned to respect all people regardless of their race or religion and sometimes looking back those days were spooky, so I just stopped going there. I discovered plenty of great places and good people in WI so it's not a bad place. There's places in Illinois I can also point out that were not positive experiences for me either.
I suppose every state has them. Just me being white opened up some really uncomfortable conversations with people who automatically thought that I had the same ideals as they did.. I mostly play along and still do until this day but it is fairly prevalent here in the upper midwest.. Don't even get me started on Michigan. I used to go shooting with a lot of those clowns because I didn't want me or my wife to get shot ourselves..
and yet you live in the armpit of our country and dare to subject the rest of us to your idea of political philosophy.. Indicting the rest of the nation like it's all our fault.. nobody takes you seriously..
oh please, you're not hiding it anymore.. As a matter of fact I don't even think that you vote.. You just bend over and take the result so you get something to whine about next year..
nope. He wouldn't have been at the libertarian convention if that was true. You forgot that he started running for the Democrat nomination but pulled out when he realized that was a fools errand. Whatever anyone else tries to invent is up to your own imagination.
I know you like to cry about censorship and stuff but there are real laws on the books that could disqualify prospective candidates in certain states, just like they forced women to be on death's door due to something wrong with her wanted pregnancy and made the rest of her life a living hell.
You don't give a shit. You vote for these monsters. I don't. But yeah, tell me how it's all my fault.
nobody is trying to keep that brain wormed heroin addict off of ballots. He just needs to play by the rules that everyone else does. He needs verified signatures on petitions to contend in all 50 states and isn't quite cutting the proverbial mustard after two years of trying... What do you think about the current libertarian candidate? What's his name? What do you like about his policies?
Will you just write in Joe Manchin at the end of the day?
holy crap, a Willie Gault sighting. I don't remember them all but I might have watched that game. Brings back memories. Let's see what the future holds. The monsters of the midway are no longer and we really need to protect our quarterbacks, which is something we've had a problem with for over thirty years now.
baraboo is a hotbed for some things that should not be mentioned. At least by me. Used to ski out that way quite a bit. The dells which is arguably their largest tourist attraction is just down the road.
📌This is a picture of high school students in Baraboo, Wisconsin, flashing the Nazi salute in 2019.

📌We were told at the time, it was a harmless, isolated incident. Those of us who know Baraboo knew better. It has a history of the worst kind of racism known to man.

Well we all found out later that Jimmy wasn't quite right in the head himself and really wasn't that skilled so I'm sure he had no leg to stand on by challenging the play calling. It was a magical year though.
I grew up as a Vikings fan and after that year I switched sides. Now we both suck lol, so I'm fairly indifferent.. I'm leaning Lions these days but you never know. Our Bears could make a resurgence, they had a solid draft. Just anyone but the cheeseheads. I say that with all due respect for my Wisconsin friends but we have a fun time ribbing each other and it's about time that they take the back bench for a bit so I can get in a couple shots.
yep, good times were had by all..... greatest defense ever, pure assassins. Not to be outmatched by Sweetness and the Punky QB. My only bad takeaway from that year is that 34 wasn't handed the ball on the goal line in that super bowl ass kicking we gave. Ditka wasn't the smartest apple on that tree.
