deal. i have always admired your feistyness
uh-oh. batten down the hatches boys, CJ is back!!! :) :)
You, Me, & Carter are right (and wrong). It just depends on one's definitions of terms. My def. of appreciable might be different from Carter's - that's OK - semantics. But I'm in this for a long run, not just daily ups and downs (that's for our day trader/flipper friend). Going up to a penny is NOT a run up by my definition. EVERYTHING, again, EVERYTHING, depends on the wording of the "potential" merger. None of us here have any idea how the new company will be structured. The devil is in the details. I want a company that will be successful, make money and be solid for the future. If it doesn't happen, then it doesn't happen.
GLTA
The ONLY thing to move this stock appreciably higher is announcement of a merger and the details therein. That's it. You know it and I know it. We are still awaiting that announcement. Charts don't matter here.
Lucky: Thanks for that very personal info and story. Sorry about your losses but sometimes life lessons can be very helpful.
So, if you don't have a margin account, then you just must trade via a cash account. I have one of those also and have been thinking about flipping the QQQ tickers daily but according to Schwab there are still some restrictions on how often I can flip. Any more pertinent info you can share?
Good luck
good for you. You must have a margin account, eh?
"broken" or "broke" - I hope neither.
CJ is a savvy talker/trader. I doubt CJ is broke OR broken. She suffers no fools.
LOL - then why did you post it? :)
a pay wall - one has to subscribe to Barron's to read that link. They call that a pay wall. Is there anything worth reading or noteworthy in the link?
paywall
where? with a partnership with Mergio? In espana?
they sure did go bye bye
depends on the wordings of said filings. there are no guarantees here.
Totally agree; and therein lies the rub. When 3 companies merge (and we don't even know the other two yet) there will be millions of shares to be "reallocated"/ "repriced" (whatever). That's the main thing that has me worried. Who's gonna lose and who's gonna win in that game. The devil is in the details, as they say.
And that is implying that there WILL be a merger - we even don't know that yet.
hope u are right, we will see.
predictions are funny things, eh?
His excitement is somewhat contagious, I'll give him that. BUT, excitement does not make a stock price go up. The merger (if it says what we want it to say) WILL make the price go up. We are all still patiently (?) waiting for mergio to complete the transaction.
they are only doing their job, too bad Sergio mergio isnt doing his, yet.
potential? everything has some kind of potential. pretty brave prediction. hope u are right.
Nice recap Kindo. I hope I'm still alive to see the merger.
Johnny: how can you say that? based on what factual information?
Define blastoff:
Define imminent:
give it a shot; I'm all ears.
veloyt: there is NO time frame. Many of us have been waiting for months and months. We keep getting promises and reassurances. That's it. Just have to wait.
keywords: "after merger".
It'll take as long as it takes, assuming Sergio is serious about this transaction. If he isn't we're gonna lose some money.
Well, I think Kindo made some pertinent points. Heck, I'd sell most of my owings if I were in the green. I'm just hangin' around with hope - seems that's all we have with Mergio's so-called "promises" and "tweets".
Yep - been cooking for months now. When the dish is done, we will know something. I just hope that it's "well" done.
Kindo: I'm beginning to doubt all the folderol over Caren Currier - everybody got all worked up over her (and perhaps for good reason). Maybe she had just one SEC thing to do for IGEX, then did it, and went on to something else. She didn't necessarily have to LIKE the stock in order to do whatever work she did for IGEX. A payday is a payday is a payday.
But . . . no one seems to throw her name around like they did 6 mos. ago.
You nailed it kindo. Frustrating as heck but I'm still holding. Serge, the merge, the dirge, is not my idea of a stellar CEO. On the other hand, just speculating: if there are indeed 3 companies talking to each other about becoming ONE company, then there might be some backroom, boardroom talks/shenanigans going on of which we are not aware; e.g.,a power struggle over who will be the new boss, etc. etc.
Heck, who knows?
i am henceforth changing his name from mergio to dirgio.
nothing.
good plan. If it hits .004 I might pick up a few myself.
You can have your heaven; I'll settle for profits. :)
nice analogy about the plow. Reminds me of the spiritual hymn: "Keep your hands on the plow, hold on, hold on." By the great composer Jester Hairston.
Just think, if the price goes down tomorrow it won't cost more to buy tomorrow.
If there is no merger, then under a penny should still be available (I have a little powder left).
I agree dry blanket. But with most strong moves lately, there has been much more volume that today's volume (so far). I'll take it. :)
hang loose everyone, remember its the OTC.
The main thing leaking on this board is all the hyperbole. Look, folks, when the merger agreement is released, read, digested, analysed, then we will either "fly or die". Hang on to your hats (as well as your shares). :)
Agree - most of us have exercised huge amounts of patience so far. Seems logical to wait this out and see what happens. What's the alternative? Sell and flip and hope.
why interesting?
