I am just trying to see if maybe the company has shares available or if it is just a really large block holder. That's the only reason that I even ask. If it is the company they are doing things responsibly and slowly, so that helps and is somewhat expected at this stage of the company. I am more curious than anything.
We are getting close to it. AMTMOMMY predicted a million in dollar volume earlier today and it is getting pretty close to that now. We have almost a million in volume... just a bit more after that and we'll see the million dollar mark. That's impressive.
Good point. I'll definitely take a look at it to see what I can dig up. The more information I seem to find about this industry the more new questions I have. I'm going to be spending a lot of time researching things by the looks of it.
Yeah but with ARCA back on it, I don't know how long it will take before it upticks again. Is that institutional? I think it is.
ARCA is back. I guess they aren't quite done yet. But we are almost at 900k in volume. Getting very close to that million dollar day mark now.
I'm not sure how good the news was yet. I know I liked it, but I am learning a lot about gold today. I am just going along for the ride. I had no idea there was so much to trading gold companies. Good experience so far though.
Woohoo! New HOD and we're up over 3%... this is a much bigger victory for everyone that has been watching it all day, hahaha. Hopefully this means that it can start moving up now that the major block is wiped out.
It sure as hell took long enough! hahaha. I was wondering how long it would take before we'd see the new HOD. I knew the shares at that price couldn't go on forever.
I was looking up gold extraction techniques and it figures the best resource appears to be wikipedia. I think this gives a good basic understanding of the different methods of extraction.

Very well stated. I think this is why I am looking very closely before I do anything in the gold market. I have a lot of skepticism in things and want to make sure that things are on the up. I don't know what the true market cap should be for this or for Yale and part of learning is that it helps me to give proper valuations of things.
If my mom read that statement, "just a housewife" she would freak out... and then go into all the details that makes being a "housewife" a real job. I like to get her going sometimes and bring it up that I work from home, do all the cooking, do all the cleaning, watch my son, and still have time for sports and activities but she always finds a way to win that battle! hahaha.
Paper trading would be fake trading. A lot of people do it so that they can test out different strategies. It is a good way to better understand the market and what you are capable of. There's no risk in paper trading so you can really test strategies out that way.
Yeah we've all been watching it all day wondering if it will actually hit the million dollar mark. That would be pretty impressive for it if it does. It happened on Friday but would be interesting to see if it can do it two trading days in a row. That's a lot of money to churn around.
And that's the thing that I do as well. I like to watch a bit, see what is happening and then take a position once I feel things are right.
Nice buys to say the least, hahaha. I am amazed at how many $2-$10k buys we've seen today. I mean the PPS doesn't really reflect the amount of money that has been tossed at it so far today but it has sure been an interesting show. Several of us have just been watching the show today... odd.
I am honestly amazed that it hasn't already moved up with all of the hits at .87 already. But I think you are right that once it breaks through that it will probably uptick pretty easy from there. I'm just amazed that one person would sit with that many shares at this level. That is just retarded especially with this much volume. You could make so much more by just following it as it moves up.
The buys are coming in like crazy now. I mean they have been coming in all day but it has been steady hitting at the ask for a while now. I can't imagine there is that much more available here. But you're right... definitely been an interesting one to watch... I think most of us here have been eye balling it more than anything.
Well, I doubt that a commercial operation would actually use this method, but I know that the individual operations do in the Amazon. I was watching a show about how it was contaminating local drinking water and creating a lot of health hazards for villagers. I have absolutely no idea how they pull gold or silver out of veins with a commercial operation. I assume it would be done with water in some manner to separate it. But you can do that with a bigger operation. That just seems like a cheaper way of doing things and one that is safer, which would make it easier to get government approval I imagine.
Yeah... it has been a bit of a freak of nature the past few trading days. Not sure if that's a good thing or not, but has made for a pretty interesting story on the day thus far.
Bulwink, you have been an asset. I know that you aren't trading SILA yourself but I'm person marking you for the information that you have brought to the board. I'm trying to learn about gold myself and know that it can be pretty confusing and different than other stocks. It is hard going through the fluff to find out what the company is really saying unless you know what you are looking at.
I think the biggest issue with paper trading is that people try to put in big dollars on it so that they could see how good of a trader they would be with a million dollar portfolio... but it is harder to learn that way. You have to be realistic and smart. It is about learning... not about dreaming. Glad to see that you are doing in realistically. That's the best way.
I was watching a show about how they get gold out of the veins and it was pretty interesting. I know there are a lot of individuals in the poorer countries of the world that use mercury to separate the gold. I assume that the major companies aren't doing this though... right? If so I imagine the liability for their employees would be massive.
Strangely we can't seem to break through this level. We hit a high of .89 today but we can't seem to break the .87 mark now.
How is the paper trading going on it? I imagine you aren't even paying commissions right now, but at least it hasn't gone down really. Just churning. I can only believe that once the .87 breaks it will move up. But I've been thinking that all day.
What you are looking at are several different debts that the company has. This is pretty normal. The company is simply disclosing debts or partnerships that they have and while the details don't make a great deal of sense it is done so that they can claim that they are fully disclosing on issues. I wish it was a little more black and white than it is myself, but that's how most every company does it.
There was an estimate of $3 billion worth of gold at one of their sites, but honestly I think that is a bit high. I'm not totally familiar with gold but if there was $3 billion in a single site then I would imagine there would be MANY more companies expanding into gold exploration. We'd see a lot of major companies throwing in money to make it happen. But even if it was really only $500 million that would be a pretty good chunk of revenue for the company. I just don't know what is considered good or bad with gold stocks. I'm still learning that aspect of it.
We are getting pretty close to it... I think it is well within reason but it has been slowing down considerably. I don't know if we're going to be able to hit that or not, but it will definitely be close. Friday was a much more impressive day for volume but I still like what we're seeing today.
We are seeing over $600k in volume so far... definitely getting closer to hitting a million dollars for the day. It is still trading sideways somewhat but has been fun watching all day. It has pretty much consumed my day... watching level 2 for all stocks... but this one just surprises the hell out of me.
You could pour through the different filings on pinksheets.com. I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but you really have to dig through it to come up with all the details about the company that would be important. It is sort of scattered throughout. Lots of details to take in.

Wow... looks like AMT might be good on her projection of a million dollars traded today. It isn't even noon yet and we're at 700k. Pretty good stuff. I think most of us here are just watching the volume in amazement more than anything else. The news is good but definitely didn't expect it all to come together like this.
I like it. Looks like franchising may really be happening with it. If that happens then it could be just the catalyst this thing needs to really move up.
Yeah there have been a few hits at the bid but for the most part we have seen it go at the ask. Whole lot of buying today. I'm wondering when it will stop trading sideways but at least it is staying green. That's the biggest part of the battle. But it is going to have to start moving or people will lose interest.
It has been slowly growing... very slowly... but that's much better than having a quick run up and then drop because it went up too much at once. Slow but steady as the way to go. Friday is the day that I first took notice of it, but not until after the close of business. It came up on one of my scans because of volume.
The website shows guadalupe as a silver project??? I thought it was a gold project??? Pretty impressive holdings Yale has. How long have you been in it?
That would be interesting to see... not sure if it will happen or not but it definitely seems like it could be a reasonable possibility.
Yeah that's the part that is interesting to me. Maybe it is just the mentality of someone trading a stock at this price point but to me a $7k buy is a pretty big leap of faith. I know it is all relative to what you have but regardless that's a no joke buy.
Looks like the company is finalizing on some partnerships with Yale. From what I can tell from other posters on here, Yale is a pretty solid company itself and could mean some good things for SILA. I'm not sure just how big the partnership will be for SILA itself but it does appear there could be some decent deposits at stake here.
I figured as much... wouldn't be as impressive to predict something that has already happened, hahaha... but I do think it is possible. It will be tough, but possible.
It looks interesting. I will do my research on it this weekend and see what happens.
I assume you mean 7 figures? It is already at around $500k now. It is only 11 so I imagine we could see a million dollars traded on this one by the end of the day. It is well within reason but I don't know if we'll actually see it today or not. It will be pretty close though.
Yeah I saw you on here Friday. We seem to pick up on the same scans on a regular basis. Looks interesting to say the least. Impressive dollar volume today again. Friday was massive too. Would love to see more upward movement but volume is definitely key to that happening.
