Yeah, it broke .0048 with a $74 purchase. Good manipulating today boys.
Thanks. I see the risk in this investment, but I also see way more positives. I'm kind of with J4P on this one (at this point). We aren't buying stock, we're paying for entertainment.
I just joined the million share club. Yay me.
Is it possible that they have already reprocessed the ore that required it, or was this to be an ongoing thing?
Thanks Ally. That is one of my first posts that hasn't been deleted. Apparently, I'm still learning to play the "On Topic" game :)
I'm looking forward to JIT's thoughts, ruminations, and reflections around noon. Does anyone know a timezone for that noon?
CM has stated that they will not perform a RS. I can understand why people would take an unofficial communication from a seemingly ineffective IR guy with a grain of salt. This is where logic, and history come in handy. The entity known as CPRK has never performed a RS. Reverse Splits normally kill stock price, and they are avoided by legitimate companies unless there is a very good reason (like staying listed on an exchange). Shells and scams will RS all day long, but as you admit, MD is not trying to line his pockets. This is an actual company that is not in the greatest financial condition, and depends on short term lenders and investors. They cannot continue as a going concern without our help, or LTF, and it is in their best interest not to piss us off.
Besides, if you believe Obama's predictions, we've got ~245B more shares to issue before we RS.
PR =
Pending Rough-draft
Pending Re-write
Probably Rubbish
Persistently Retarded
Pathetic Relations
I have a feeling that CM has expressed our displeasure with previous PRs, and that they are trying to get this one right (coupled with some logistical issues). I can be impatiently patient.
He admitted that he didn't trade on his information. The SEC can't require you to purchase, even though you know bad news, and they can't restrict you from purchasing indefinitely, because you at one point knew news that is no longer applicable.
As long as I have ammunition, my guns cannot be confiscated.
I like Richard's predictions... one of these days, he has to be right. Go CPRK!
Nice use of alliteration.
I'm hoping that something in the upcoming PR satisfies my curiosity on this matter.
Lets talk share structure.
On 12/8, the A/S was increased from 4.6B to 4.95B. Yesterday, the O/S increased from 4,588,324,320 to 4,820,724,320 (+232.4M), and the float increased from 2,191,683,929 to 2,399,083,929 (+207.4M).
For the sake of argument, lets say those 207.4M shares sell for an average of .006. That would raise $1,244,400. The extra 25M shares that didn't move to the float are worth $150,000 @ .006.
Does anyone want to speculate on what they would need $1.2M for in the short term (since most of our other float increases seemed to be small for day-to-day expenses)? Who could CPRK have paid 25M shares to, and for what (assuming those shares aren't going to enter the float at a later date)?
I know that this is all speculative, but I figured the theories could spice up the board for the rest of the day.
In this situation, it would make them not only thieves, but probably mass murderers. I can't imagine the train would stay levitated for long with a large chunk of copper missing from the rail.
I didn't realize you had actually talked to him, so I was going by what is written. I've learned to pad all of their estimates by a few days (or weeks, depending on the goal).
In his shareholder note, Charles said by the end of this week. Other posters made a guess at yesterday or today. I plan on being invested for years and years, so a couple of days difference on a PR don't concern me. =)
It isn't that one local is more dependable than another, but multiple confirmations can help solidify the statements. A differing opinion can draw doubt on the first, and require more independent verification. Either way, it is all hearsay, and must be taken with a grain of salt--just like the positive statements that someone heard a local make.
Well, I just did my good deed for the week, and slapped the ask.
If that were true, why would the company have claimed to have 240 tons stockpiled? To me, it seems like this is an indicator of them not only hitting the 1 truck/day number, but exceeding it.
Are there any rules governing a share buyback? How would they need to be purchased (open market, negotiated rate, etc...)? Does the purchase need to be declared beforehand, or in a filing after? Could a 3rd party handle the buyback?
He's not dead. He's just in a state of suspended animation in a nondescript janitor's closet in the basement of the Epcot Center, waiting for CPRK to take off, so he can finally make some real money. // End ROS
Thank you... I don't have the search ability.
Charles stated that they were in closed door meetings with financiers all last week.
I just took a quick look around various message boards, and I don't see CPRK getting pumped yet.
I see. I was thinking that it was something a bit more organized than that. You made mention of learning the players in the game, and I thought that tied into the LTF for some reason.
I've been involved in some pump and dumps before. I always get left holding the bag (either buy too late, or hold too long), but CPRK is one bag I wouldn't mind getting stuck with.
Richard,
Who do you think is behind the pump, and how do you think it is going to play out? The movement of this stock thoroughly confuses me. Since we can't get any transparency from the company, I'd appreciate some clarification from the commentariat (even if it is just speculation).
Thanks
Anytime. I just downloaded the historical prices from Google Finance, used some Regular Expressions to get rid of everything but the date and volume, and sorted the results.
I have an idea where he gets his figures from, but I won't say--this board seems to frown upon expletives.
Thank you for your continued DD, Ally.
I have 63,871,981 on 4/22/09 as the record volume... but regardless, the increased volume seems like a good indicator to me.
For the life of me, I can't figure out how the company could organize such a buyback. They have to buyback hundreds of millions, if not billions of shares. Any significant volume should send the stock price up, and indicate to us that a buyback is in progress. I doubt many will be willing to let their shares go for a loss, especially if they catch wind of the buyback.
About a month back someone posed the question, "Why doesn't CPRK setup its own smelter?", to which the reply was "cost." I think the SX/EW plant is also a good answer.
This is the way I've always interpreted it. For every buy there is a sell, so it only makes sense to record them by how they deviate from the ask.
I could have swore that a poster with a state and a number in his username posted similar positive rumblings today, but it seems to have been deleted.
Would it be too much for you to PM me your theory/facts?
And that, my friends, is post #3 of the day. Back to reading I go.
I won't sell a single share even if it drops to .0001. I'll just take the opportunity to average down =) I'm young and stubborn, but have a very simple trading philosophy. I consider my money lost as soon as I put it in the stock. That way, I know it is money I can afford to lose, and don't have to worry about a knee jerk reaction to stock price.
That doesn't help for those of us that can't get PM's! I've been reading this board for 9 months now, and finally decided to join, only to discover no PM ability... argh! I'm 450K in, and just picked up another 150K today on the drop. GLTA.
