I really think that "buyer beware" in this case is IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE BALLS FOR THIS RIDE, THEN STAY AWAY!!! I feel sorry for the sellers that folded in the low 1s today out of abject fear. Pennies are not for the weak. Those folks need to go buy some Microsoft or something. Much less nerve-wracking. Not everyone playing these stocks understand the highs/lows of doing so. I still firmly believe that this is not a scam in any fashion. The problem here is that none of us has the full picture of what is going on behind the scenes with this company. Based on my DD, I expect this to be a major player in the aerospace industry by the fall of 2010. Still holding onto my shares. Big loss for me at this PPS, but it will turn around with a vengeance IMO. Good luck everyone. Wish I could have bought some down here today!
Why do you continue to visit this board? Just curious.
AGREED!!! Lundquist is "the closer" and I thought he lived in Seattle, but I could be wrong. Saavy on Dean's part to argue for and recieve a reduction in equity, but my only concern is if that will result in an increased O/S or covers the amount he's aleady gone past the 900K target he was throwing out as a limit a few weeks ago.
We just have to trust here. None of us except Dean and the team know the crucial details of how this will play out in the next ten days, but I'm definitely excited. And, that's two PRs with what is, in essence, the same timeline put on the funding.
Looks good and everyone have a wonderful weekend!!
What an interesting trading day we had today! AM was a mess with alot of folks throwing in the towel, taking their losses, and walking away. The PM was phenomenal. "Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde". As I've said, "Its always darkest before the dawn." I hope that's behind us now and we can all look for sunnier skies ahead. Good luck to everyone holding tight!
I think everyone needs to take a deep breath, be patient, and wait for formal confirmation that the deal is done....I'm excited, but its measured excitement until we see the PR that confirms or the beginning of a massive, and I mean MASSIVE, buyback that for me will be confirmation enough. Go QASP!!
Is it possible that this is being held down until Dean gets the money with which he can start the buyback "in earnest"? Gives the company at least a running start at some low priced shares. Is the buyback prefaced possibly on the closing of the loan? Got to have money to buy.
My opinion is that we are seeing the final weeding out of weak hands before the candle is lit under this rocket. This is a final hard shake and folks are falling for it. Its always darkest before the dawn boys and girls! I'm resting comfortably on a soft bed of shares and waiting for the alarm to go off. Hang in there all and good luck!! This will turn around in a dramatic way!
Reminds me of the old Far Side cartoon...."Lets get this baby off the ground!" Remember that one?
If this does what I think its about to do based on my DD and investigation, I'm not selling for a very long time. IMO those that hold onto this long term will be quite pleased with the return over time. I only hold 250K shares, but I can imagine where those shares might take my financial foundation in the future.
And just remember that the transition phase of labor is usually the most painful. I need a saddle block at this point! Here's to 10 Banker!
I agree with Banker's post. Everyone needs to temper their exuberance with a caution that, like this last year has shown, timelines and expectations are not a basis for your position (no matter how big or small) in this stock. Dean is a smart business person and will do what he has to in order to position Quasar for long term success. Banker speaks the truth....the true longs have learned not to rely on timelines but to simply and confidently hold their shares and wait for the "unveiling". GLTA!!
Probably took a foot and mouth artist with him.
Hope he didn't break his signing arm! C'mon guys.....someone had to say it! Hope you're right stockguru....this may be our time!
That's it......I'm putting in my earplugs! Everyone stop yelling. You're in or you're out. That simple. 15 minutes of trading does not determine the outcome on Friday at 4PM!!!
It comes down to a simple choice.......if you believe in this stock.....stay! If not.......go! The other bottom line. Unless you're sitting in the Quasar office at Dean's side each day, the truth is no one knows exactly what is going on and only the most senior officers at Quasar do. Does no good to whine about it. My DD has convinced me that this is a real company with a real business plan and they will be big fish in the aerospace industry by the fall of 10.
Isn't it possible that the increase in O/S is shares going to the lender/acquisitions? If so, that would explain why the float is still tight if that is indeed the case.
I totally agree with this post. The first week is Monday through Friday, and if the buyback doesn't seem to occur starting Monday, then I think you'll see some nervous Nellies wimping out. Its unfortunate, but those investors that don't have the stomach for this will unfortunately hit the "sell" button. People just want to read Monday into it......not what the PR said people. Go read it. Lower your expectations for Monday through Thursday and hopefully be pleasantly surprised. We're about to separate the men from the boys (or the ladies from the girls for you of the fairer gender out there). Happy Easter everyone! He is risen!
I'm betting they're still happy under the umbrella! It slipped along with everything else.
Suggest you go to I Box and read up on Quasar
I so concur with that statement! Flippers only add instability and at some point though, we'll be beyond flipping territory. I've always contended that the way to make money in QASP is to abandon the "day trade" mentality, because with the exception of 2-3 windows where flipping was possible/profitable, this is a different stock that behaves differently. Some folks just can't see the forest through the trees. There will be a number of unfortunate souls who flip and miss the run up. Just the nature of stocks down at this level.
Nice trading action here towards the end of the day. Without looking at the chart, would imagine the fundamentals are slowly turning in our favor.
Without going to the DD pages, I think it was something to the effect of watch for the buyback as a signal that things were very close. But......I could be wrong. That's what my memory recollects. Sorry if I'm incorrect.
Interesting trading pattern today...tight channel for quite some time now. Dean is saavy enough to pick up the shares he wants before the big news is released. Makes common sense even if you had one hour of business experience. Once Quasar gets its fill....look out!! All IMO.
$1.4M to charity.....yep, sounds like its got all the earmarks of a scam to me......LOL! I think the ACTIONS being taken by the Quasar team are starting to silence those that would have you believe this is just all just a scam made up to sell shares. At some point, those folks have to stop trashing this company and start believing.
Oh absolutely Mazz!! But barring that, all I'm saying is that if this is indeed a full-blown buyback of shares by QASP, then it could be a signal that things are progressing nicely. Yes......I want to see the same PR.
If you go back to the August 4 PR folks in regards to the share buyback, it discusses that the buyback will not occur until AFTER the completion of funding of previously announced acquisitions. An active buyback is a signal that funding is complete and acquisitions are done. All IMO. O/S over 900M is disappointing, but I'm confident it will all make sense once the spotlight is turned on what has happened here. Personally, based on that PR, I think the $350M loan is closed and the acquisitions are close to being brought out in the light. Good luck everyone!
Good on ya' boatman. Hope you make some profit along with the rest of us. My DD says we will. Best of luck!
Exactly JR...and this IMO is exactly why so many here are so critical of this company, because Quasar won't conform to the flippers model of what a penny stock is to them..a vehicle for a quick 5-10% and out. Those opportunities have obviously been there with this stock at times, but not the way Quasar leadership is playing this at all.
Wouldn't worry about the downtick....inevitable. Uptick...stall...downtick....consolidate...uptick (higher)....repeat. Totally expected. Always have flippers, but as shares continue to fall into stronger hands as the picture becomes clearer...we'll move up at a more rapid rate.
Ultimately........flippers.
Safe to say this is certainly not part of the original six.
I hope Quasar releases information little by little so share price can rise steadily and solidly.
Wait....they'll come!
All the scam talk is off the table...the discussion now needs to shift to SIZE!!!!
I'm betting we get more news before the end of month on other acquisitions.
Fair question Ray.
The funding for this is not coming out of thin air . I think the funding is now in place IMO.....here we go!
Never said I did board.....but isn't there a certain amount of common sense involved that this process is prone to delay by its very nature? Just too many moving parts/people involved. To hold this to a strict timeline doesn't pass the litmus test for me. The fact that delays have occurred shouldn't come as a shock to anyone here. GLTY
There you go....."the defense rests".
