Thanks CLAW. Seems as though they are legally entitled to inside information. Maybe it is written into the terms and conditions of the funding contract in some form.
If that's the case, then they convert / sell / convert / sell .. and time ALL OF IT perfectly... and still hold exactly what they are entitled to hold LONG TERM... without missing the boat to the land of RICHES.
So, we are the only ones in the BLIND.
He stated that he thinks Neomedia is amazing... and wants to see neomedia succeed. Take that for what it's worth. I wonder what he thinks of all of us shareholders?
Someone just said they can only hold 5% of the company. If they are smart, they will hold as many shares as possible...
Anyone know how much YA hasn't converted yet, but still retain the rights to convert? Anyone know how many shares they currently hold at the moment? Where can one find that information?
Legally I mean....
they do have a slightly different relationship than a normal investor, BUT legally.......
As for YA as our financier, what information do they have
privalege to before the normal investor?
Exactly what kind of line of communication is open to them?
Are they considered more like a shareholder, or as
part of the neomedia management team, in terms of
information and knowledge?
Profit windfall. Guaranteed player.
Maybe YA needed to see that Neomedia WILL
be playing in the game and will be massively
rewarded for its intellectual property.
Collecting IP royalties on a multi multi multi
billion $ business in the US alone, year after year,
they'd be stupid to keep selling their shares.
Financing terms should start getting better. And hopefully at some point in the near future, we will not need more financing.
But, if we do need more financing in the near term, hopefully we are hitting a point where the financing terms won't be so ridiculous.
At some point, YA is greatly better off letting this thing run to a $2.50 pps or more.
YA, you want to attract big time investors, and see your NEOM portolio make you billionaires over there, then stop screwing with the stock, and let this thing BLOW UP to a giant.
Vero... thanks for all.
Have any guesses on what that means?
8 million shares traded in 30 minutes
And what would the process be, determining how much each license and/or revenue we would make? Will it be through negociations with CTIA / Clearhouse?
If it were a direct order from CTIA, then it is assumed that Neomedia's patents are golden in the States.
Now, how would Neomedia's IP rights and revenue rights be inserted into this entire ecosystem building process?
For instance, would CTIA require that all players go to Neomedia 1st, get a license, before becoming registered with the clearinghouse, etc.?
Or is this line of thinking totally off base?
How exactly does GS1 play into this entire landscape?
Also, who are the front runners in possibly landing the clearinghouse?
Thanks ROAD DOG. According to page 23, finalist presentations wrap up in 3Q, which ends in one week.
http://files.ctia.org/pdf/Final_Code_Scan_White_Paper_Rev2.pdf
Also, according to this CTIA Code Scan Action Team publishing.... doesn't it seem inevitable that the indirect method / clearinghouse / etc. will become a major reality...
Page 17 .. Benefits of an Indirect Encoding Model
This whole thing is pushing for an indirect method, and neomedia has THAT covered.
If our buddy neustar becomes the clearing house, aren't we well positioned?
RoadDog, do you have a link to that CTIA info?
The court document - It was received on Friday the 11th... SO ORDERED on Monday the 14th... which is just about when the pps hit the .003's and then rebounded quickly back up to the .007's...
Thanks Krays, and anyone have any thoughts on
what the settlements could look like.........?
I never imagined when I bought in at .06 in 2004, that soon I would be witnessing the pps at .72. The good ol days. Yes, the OS had not gone haywire yet, but their was absolutely NO justification to have ever gone above .10 at the time.
I'm not saying a buyout is happening. I'm not even saying it is possible. Who knows. I'm asking, at what level would be acceptable to the people on this board. Call it rose colored glasses.
But, if you do, then all the Bankruptcy ramblings can be labeled as people looking through gray colored glasses.
I know ALL is possible.
Including bankruptcy.
Including a run to .05 maybe .10, maybe more
We just dwindled down from .04.
Saying we can't get over a penny isn't accurate.
What happens when an open standard is adopted?
I would imagine most would like the idea of a buyout at 1 billion. That would mean each share would be worth .50, wouldn't it?
How about a buyout of 2 billion or how about 500 million?
Anyone here support the idea of a microsoft or other buying neomedia for 1 billion?
I'm not sure the details behind his numbers, because I haven't followed those posts. Is he basing his numbers off of charts or something? If so, you may not want to give him any rope. Charts are meaningless in most cases, especially in this case.
Now, when neomedia starts generating enough income to operate on its own, without borrowing more DINERO, and YA finishes converting all of its options, that is when we see this stock pps skyrocket. At that point, YA has all the reason to SUPPORT a $5.00/share mark. At that point, they'll want to see the stock at $20.00+ for god's sake.
Questions are:
When will neomedia support itself?
When will YA finish converting?
Jacket, I was not responding to you.
I was responding to chartisttoo indirectly,
by using your post to submit a public reply.
You had replied to his post.
Now, what was I being obvious about?
This stock fluctuates like a giant rollercoaster.
But, let's not attempt to infuse paranoia by barking out that the pps is heading to .001 That's careless and selfserving.
I can obviously see why someone would have an order of .001 to buy those shares, but who do we think would SELL those shares, when the pps is up at .008?
Was it a YA coversion or something?
Anything is possible with this stock.
If you've been around since 2003, you
know this as fact.
And, I would assume most on this board, knew some sort of dumping ( or PPS manipulation ) would happen, using the typical SUMMER DOLDRUMS as the excuse to bash the pps back into the dirt.... setting up good buyin opportunities for some special individuals.
As written previously, neomedia has been working with some special players out there, and it was stated that big things would begin in 2009. If anything substantial happens with any HIGH PROFILE companies and Neomedia, that in itself can send us to .20 with all the hype and the help of our market making friends, etc.
Well, we did nose dive for an entire month, without justification.... all thanks to a very special group of individuals.
We can very easily be back above .03 by the end of the week. Don't jump off ship, with the intention on jumping back on at a lower pps, or you risk getting SCREWED. And if you've been a long term investor, that would SUCK.
Because it never should have dropped below a penny or two.
MM manipulation maybe?
Maybe it's the 1000's of investors who have been dumping out of paranoia, and now realize they need to get back in before it hops to .04 again.
All it takes is a bit of manipulation and the pps is back to .024 and heading higher.
NEOM comes out with any BIG news, and all who have dumped over the past month, since the news of the 1st licensing deal, will be watching and punching themselves for getting out and watching the PPS skyrocket.
You know its happened before... and it is certainly possible to do it again.
There are lots of risks in investing in NEOM, but it is very risky for long term investors, or for investors who've gotten in since Spring, to dump right now. Trying to turn a quick buck, with the intention of getting right back in.... could cost you BIG TIME.
I'm sure there are many on this board that try to Day Trade this stock. Don't get too greedy.
What?
At times, I was understanding your thoughts. At other times, you confused the bojangles out of me.
Yes, there are certain individuals on this board that have quite an impressive understanding of finances and financing. Whichever way you choose to look at it, CREATIVE financing, DESPERATE financing, or KAMIKAZI financing, matters not.
You wrote: "Thank you to those who keep the free thinking alive here - open mindedness, creative thoughts"
There are two sides two every coin. For those wishing to stay positive, there are a ton of things to be optimistic about, in terms of this technology for the real world. There are even some things for Neom shareholders to remain optimistic about ( not many ) but some.
There are also negatives that can not be overlooked. I, for one, am glad that some posters point out the positives, and others point out the negatives. It rounds out the reality of our situation. Better off NOT looking through rose colored glasses all of the time.
Well said. There are many Gamblers and Dreamers on this site.
One thing. You seem to be supportive of this type of 'creative' financing. This 'creative' financing might very well doom us shareholders.
I can certainly see the HUGE potential this entire industry has.... and believe it will happen. But, will neomedia be around to see it happen. Or will the company still be around, but the shareholders be out every penny they invested.... with nothing.
Question you may want to ask yourself. Who's looking out for the best interests of the common shareholder? Another question. Is there actually anyone out there who cares about the common shareholders survival?
MONOPOLY GAME.
This whole situation reminds me of a monopoly game, when we played it at 6 years old... We would get up to go get a sandwich, half way through the game, and our older brother would start emptying the monopoly bank. He would just take and take more, putting it in his stack with virtually NO RISK and NO REPRICUSION. Like taking candy from a baby.
If Neom was on Nasdaq, etc... there's no way this manipulation would be happening.
I say class action suit against YA .... we seek to gain possession of all their shares, putting them in hands of the common shareholders . And in turn, the SEC starts an investigation, and ALSO throws some jackasses in jail later on.
Insider Trading. Illegal Activity.
Who exactly is pulling the strings? Is YA pulling off
some illegal activity? How about YA and a market maker?
How about a class action lawsuit against someone?
Backing up the truck and loading up as we speak, NOT!
Unfortunately, for some who loaded up at .40 and .50, probably have suffered greatly.
Funny thing how nothing happened to TS for his unspeakable manipulation of this stock years ago.
Mid and late September he was sending out emails to prospective investors, with easy to decipher PUMPING of Neomedia, and how NeoMedia was on its way to $5 per share....
while at the same time, a week or two later, he is telling his inner MICROCAP investors to get the hell out of the stock.
Although I didn't get into the stock at that decisive time, many who DID get in at that time in SEPTEMBER should have a nice fat lawsuit against changewave... and the FEDS should have a nice charge against that disgusting pig.
I got into this stock, by deciphering one of his ads 6 years ago. Clever how easy he made it to learn NEOMs name. Clever how he sucked you in, to keep you updated on the inner workings of the company, and to keep you ahed of every other investor.
There's a good reason that the members of administration have NO neomedia shares. The CEOs just rake in the millions over the few years of doing nothing, until the well runs dry and they depart. They walk away without losing a penny, and without doing anything to help the company. Where do they get these CEOs? 1-800-rent-a-clown?
What loyalty does anyone in this company have for any one of us shareholders out here on the periphery? Does anyone actually care if this company succeeds or falls apart, other than us?
Does YA have any interest in helping shareholders recover some of their massive loses? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
What is the GRAND total ( Dollar amount ) that YA has loaned Neomedia over the years as of right now?
What is the GRAND total ( Dollar amount ) that YA has reclaimed through their selling (converting or whatever) of neomedia stock?
Are they in the green at this point?
If they chose not to loan neomedia any more money, and Neomedia can't continue operations and FOLDS, does YA acquire the patents?
If so, what incentive do they have to continue loaning money to neomedia?
Who's watching over all this garbage going on?
