In response to your comment, probrigh42, I am convinced that the simple availability of smokehoods will end up saving more lives than perhaps all the rest of the fancy and valuable technology combined.
The next step would be to have all this new incoming data from the system processed automatically, as opposed to having humans trying to make operational decisions from it. That would allow another efficiency jump, and provide UTS another upsale option.
DuPont was actively involved in attempts to produce spider silk, but they are very secretive about everything. They may be hoping to leap-frog Kraig, and figure out a way to generate the protein artificially. But it's doubtful this could be done anytime soon due to the complexity of it. As a result, DuPont would be a key player to watch for a takeover.
Over and above signing up a new distributor, did they say how many new units were actually sold?
Remember that they now have a deal with a national community support organization (NARC) to sell their system to municipalities all over the country. Perhaps it's starting to take off.
Interesting to hear what DuPont and some other players are doing, and whether they might be seriously looking at Kraig.
Even today I understand that additional terrorist threats have been made against Washington. These are people who think long term. It's important that a lull in activity not tempt us to think that the threat has gone away.
It's not impossible that there will come a time that virtually every public facility will be required to have a system in place very much like the ones offered by Sector 10.
There are a lot of reasons to use a good GPS fleet tracking system, but UTS's unique selling propostion seems to be:
"The company’s mapping technology combines several of North America’s premier GPS mapping providers into one application, enabling detailed street level mapping in The U.S., Canada and Mexico."
"This is the first time we have seen the number of DNA insertions yielding transient expression reach the triple digits. We do seem to be in a state of acceleration in terms of the pace of laboratory achievement,"
(Still anxious to see more material results from this progress, or more buyers interested.)
The study from Britain summarized:
British study finds that a biological or nuclear attack is more realistic than some realize. The study found that current terrorist organizations are willing to use chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive weapons (CBRNE) to forward their cause.
The government can only do so much to protect borders and citizens. Such outside threats, coupled with normal internal risks, mean that there will be ongoing pressure to fill the protection gap.
One of Universal's advantages is the variety of their product offerings, giving fleet managers a number of ways to go, and multiple pricing options.
Some investors, rightly or wrongly, use dividends as one of the single biggest deciding factors in whether or not they will purchase.
The huge volume of money on the sidelines is like a giant ice dam. And it looks like it's beginning, just beginning, to crack.
I get the feeling that the Petrosonics side of things could move faster than the engine side.
The whole market is smiling today.
Well, this is what it has always been all about with Kraig.
Anything is a step up right now.
The Petrosonics technology, now with Axial's eastern money behind it, represents an important and economical new way for many of the world's refineries to address the increasing sulfur removal requirements.
There were a lot of places people decided to put their money yesterday, with the massive gain. That can be a shakeout for some companies.
Yes, S10Help.com will improve. It's novelty will drive interest, which I hope will move Sector 10 to clean it up.
Dividends, assuming there is real follow-through, tends to be something of a seal-of-approval for investors. Good news.
One thing the company could do is have an ongoing policy of addressing questions and concerns, found in message boards like this, as directly and quickly as possible.
Lightweight, and going in all directions: their chart looks like a spiderweb. Wish it would catch a fly.
Certainly hope so. Keeping eyes open for all developments with the company, sales.
A big year over year revenue increase seems reasonable if you consider the following released statement about their product:
"Users of the system have experienced a positive return on investment, including reduced carbon emissions, reduced fuel costs, enhanced homeland security measures, improved safety and liability issues, as well as increased productivity."
I guess the real question is what the demos mean to potential clients, and how it will all translate into orders, dollars, earnings, and higher SP.
It would be nice to have an on-going posting of installed sites, reflecting the success of their business model.
Unlike many companies, that are making money by simply throwing out crude components and a how-to book, GreenChek is pushing the technology. It takes longer, but it should pay benefits.
Axial presumably presumably provided Emirates with a believable plan and associated target markets for application of the technology, a plan which Emirates was willing to invest $7 million it.
Regarding that, the registration process on the site still needs work. It won't take off until it's easy to register.
It would certainly be more user-friendly not to have to worry about batteries wearing out.
S10Help.com is a brilliant idea. Although it is obviously a beta-beta-beta release right now, with much to be fixed and added, it's the POTENTIAL that is important.
There's reason to believe that, like all good ideas, this industry will move regardless of what the government does.
The ongoing reduction in size and power drain will help propel the technology.
Beyond websites, eyes will be on the financing, and what is done with it, plus interest generated by demos.
Sector 10 is also branching out into the even bigger field of attempting to link together responders and services in multiple communities, using the Internet to provide people with instant information on nearby resources.
However, there are storage solutions that are safe, and perhaps these can be incorporated later to improve the system.
But there will still need to be improvements to avoid that constant hassle of battery changes, since these things probably draw a fair amount of power when used.
The immediate use of the hydrogen is one of the main features of the OHGI system, going a long way to address any safety concerns the public might have regarding hydrogen storage.
One of the keys to the success of imbedded GPS trackers is the battery.
"The miniMT2 has a motion sensor that puts the device into sleep-mode when the unit senses no movement after one minute, which extends battery life and power optimization."
