I hope so. Good luck to us all.
25,000???? My God, last I heard there were 7000, and i was amazed. Now I'm flabbergasted. Shows how the word of this stock has gotten around.
You got that right, and it has always bugged me that they have not appeared to cover. I find that not only strange, but almost unbelieveable. I doubt that there has ever been shorts that out of round that have not either had to pay so much in margin calls that they covered or been forced to cover by their Brokerages. There may be more to it than meets the eye.
No, I think your theories are right on, and none of us know what is going to ultimately happen. But I believe tht the best way to beat these guys is to come with multiple events that will beat them into submission, even though any one event might be all it takes to win the war. One bullet might take out the target, but 100 bullets will surely take him out.
Z, you are right they could just pay the dividend. But there is nothing that says the company cannot announce more than one event that would force an accounting of shares. Shorts could be overwhelmed with several events that could not be ignored.
No, it was sent to me by a friend. It was one of Americas finest, one of our protectors, who was killed in the line of duty being transported back home for burial. There was no formal effort to get people out, but when the news came out that they would be moving his body home, people from every town gathered to pay their respects as he passed them. The fact that it was honest, down to earth, respect that brought them out, makes it so emotional.
Just my opinion only, I think by the middle of this month.
Good post Spongeboy
Easy, they merge with a Company who is already listed with Nasdaq but is no longer doing any real business, called a shell company. Once they are on Nasdaq, then they only have to maintain a $1 share price to stay on Nasdaq. And, due to the fall in the economy, Nasdaq has relaxed its $1 rule, otherwise a lot of companies who were selling at way above a dollar at one time and are now below a dollar, would have to be delisted.
Another way is to meet with Nasdaq, as they did, and make their case that they are a fast growing company with no debt and way undervalued. Nasdaq could, at their discretion, waive the share price requirement and they could go nasdaq on their own future merits without a merger.
Don't feel bad cptkng, many of us have several million and could have sold at .25-.28 and made a lot of money and then bought back at .07-.17. We didn't, dammit, lol, if only we knew.
Excellent post NoBS
Thank you dear, but he can think what he wants. This is America and it's easy on message boards to take everything with a grain of salt and a lot of it should be.
Whatever guys, I just told you what happened and if you want to make it sound like I'm playing the game with you, then that's fine.
I understand that Z, I was just saying that after he said that on this board, he obviously got to thinking that maybe he shouldn't have for the reason I just gave.
Ralph, I'm not sure exactly how to take that. He did e-mail me that, and I didn't post it here. So, what is your point?
It's kind of funny, cause last week I e-mailed Doug and mentioned the $25 figure, and he told me that it was pure fantasy. I think that he thinks if he tells everyone that it could reach those numbers then they will hold and then be competing with him for his shares. lol
Very good post Digs, and right on!!!
"I'm clueless to what will happen when it becomes clear that the legal float is gone, when/if there is a CUSIP change, when/if a giant company decides they want to own Spongetech, and when/if management decides to sell."
At that point there are going to be a lot of Brokerage Firms making calls for people to cover. If they don't then the Brokers will start liquidating their other investments and covering for them.
Interesting. May be something to it, but I would say next week would be more likely for covering.
Good post Wrinkles.
One thing about it, if the 10K is done as I believe it to be, and they are holding back from putting it out, as I believe they are, then it must be for a good reason, and I would saay that it would be good for us as well.
I don't believe a buyout is in the cards. Right now anyway.
Question for the board:
Has Spongetechs IR dept. always been through Corporate Evolutions? I noticed on the flyer I got in the mail that it says for Investor Relations call Corporate Evolutions.
Just wondering.

Got my flyer today in Tulsa, OK.
Plus, you must consider any shareholder out there who holds certs for their shares. Those must be included as well.
I think one of the biggest questions is: Does Doug Furth and his group, as well as Joel Levin, consider their shares legit shares or air shares? If they consider them to be legit, then we have some math problems. 722 mil - 480 RME = 242 million. Now if Doug and his group has the 300 million he says, then we are already in the hole and everything SM, MM, friends and family own are air shares. Need to know how each person views their shares. Does that make sense to everyone, or am I missing something.
HaHA, never thought of it that way. We'll be OK. Goodnight.
Very true, thanks.
In his defense, he probably didn't know they would delay until sometime today and as I said I'm sure he had a good reason.
Absolutely, but I called them. Not only did he not call or e-mail me, but he said that the due date was Sept 9 and that he told us it would be the week of the 31st. That's not the way it was. Look, I'm not trying to call SM a liar, I'm just saying that he probably had a very good reason for not filing today, and that reason will probably benefit me. But there was some money and effort put into last weeks trading that got our price from .138 to .21 and we all liked how that felt. Short of some info between SM and shareholders, this effort could very well be negated and we end up back at .135. We all would not like that. I'll drop it, and hope for the 10K in the am and maybe a couple of powerful PR's to go along with to make everything OK.
That is true Spongesftw, but SM said that the 10K was done as of last Monday. I believe in management too, but they need to be honest with us or don't say anything at all. There is never a case for telling shareholders one thing one day and something totally different the next. At least that is not what I do, and I own my own business as well.
Now that is a statement that I cannot disagree with. We have had hundreds of opportunities to reload or load up or back the truck up. How many opportunities have we had to take advantage of holding long? I really am not sour right now, but I am disappointed that I have held and never sold a share for over a year, and have been told over and over again that the plan is in place to eliminate the short position, only to hear almost on a weekly basis "Great opportunity to reload". I didn't invest in a company that would build itself to greatness yet be unable to pry loose of a short position created by crooks. Get a plan that is not contingent on so many things. Get it, and do it. That's all I ask, otherwise 2 years from now the Company will be doing a billion in sales and the stock will be selling at .20 per share. That's embarassing. These guys are tough, but I believe our guys can be tougher.
Not hanging my head, but it does bother me when someone tells me something and then I find out that it is not true. This is not insider info, this is public info about a regulated form that must be filed by a certain date unless an extension is filed. So to answer a shareholder about the filing of the 10K is perfectly acceptable. Anyway, I hope that after last weeks obvious effort to raise the share price, that this does not give reason for it to drop back where it was last Monday beginning of day.
Yes, but he states that there is no extension and that he is filing early. Huh? He says it's due the 9th, Huh? This is too weird for me. He told me it would be out today. He told two others I know of that it would be out today (not the week of the 31st, but today August 31st). Whatever.
See if anyone can figure this out. Series of e-mails to SM.
Sender: What happened? No filings released today?
SM: Its not due till the ninth
Sender: ?????
SM: What's the ?
Sender: Is it on extension? Where's the 9th come from? Could have sworn last week was told it'd be out today? Gonna be a huge sell off tomorrow.
SM: No extension and I told you the week of the 31st
Sender: Then the week of the 31st would only give us till Friday, September 4th.
SM: I have till the 9th, I'm filing early
Sender: "Filing early", as meaning you're filing by this Friday?
SM: Yes
If they need to file for an up to 15 day extension, they can file up to 24 hours after the original due date.
I think in order to get todays date stamp, it has to be filed by 5:30pm EST, but not positive.
