Yeah, I was looking at TSL this morning and didn't enter at 10.70. Now I've entered at 11.10. We'll see how it goes. I'm heading out for my run. I am so late today. See you later.
FSLR testing 50 ma today. Just about to make a "silver cross"
Exactly what I was thinking!
ACOR, nice entry, Griff. Wish I'd seen your post earlier. That news is no big deal. The FDA cannot review the NDA if the eCTD is not properly formatted.
I didn't feel a thing. Taking off now . Have a good day.
Congratulations, Jang, and best of luck. I'll miss you. Barb
Ford reacting well.
Hi Ico.
Thank you Jerry.
Spectacular... How about TSL up 50%. Hi Ico. Just checking in for a few minutes and am very impressed with TSL, FSLR and ENER.
Hi Lizzy, thats a funny video. I really liked the mayor even though I don't entirely agree with him. I don't think retirement and healthcare benefits for life are sustainable. especially with people living for 20 yrs beyond retirement age. Some Ca cities are strugglling with bankruptcy and a huge factor is very generous police and fire contracts negotiated in better times.
That was an excellent article. I can't describe how disappointed/disgusted I was when reading about the GS connection to the AIG bailout. Thank God for some comic relief at the end:
The most galling thing about this financial crisis is that so many Wall Street types think they actually deserve not only their huge bonuses and lavish lifestyles but the awesome political power their own mistakes have left them in possession of. When challenged, they talk about how hard they work, the 90-hour weeks, the stress, the failed marriages, the hemorrhoids and gallstones they all get before they hit 40.
Thanks for posting, Bale. combined with Lizzy's utube post, a powerful example of how important the "press" is in keeping us informed. The power of the internet gives me some hope.

Trina Solar Announces the Inauguration of North America's Largest Single Rooftop Solar Installation
Friday March 20, 8:00 am ET
CHANGZHOU, China, March 20 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL - News; "Trina Solar" or the "Company"), a leading integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of PV modules, today announced the commemoration and completion of the largest roof mounted solar array in the United States. Trina Solar's Director of Sales & Marketing for North America, Jim Day, joined project partners and invited guests as Governor Jon Corzine of New Jersey and other officials dedicated the completion on March 5, 2009.
The Atlantic City Convention Center ("ACCC") project is North America's largest single roof-mounted solar array and consists of more than 13,400 modules. The project, which provides approximately 2.4 MW at peak capacity, was completed in December, 2008, and can power up to 280 homes and effectively curtail the release of 2,350 tons of carbon dioxide every year. The panels will produce about one-fourth of the building's energy and will provide the ACCC with energy savings of approximately $4.4 million over 20 years.
"We are very delighted by the completion of this significant project, which helps to bring clean, green solar energy solutions to Atlantic City," stated Jifan Gao, Trina Solar's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We are proud that Trina Solar's modules were selected for this landmark achievement. The success of this project demonstrates our capacity to deliver large scale commercial solar solutions to market as we continue to broaden our distribution networks and project partnership agreements in the U.S.
TSL has moved over the 50 ma.
GL with STP, Paul. I'm watching ENER.
TAN up 7%. solar usually goes up with POO.
:) Time for lunch. See ya later, Ico.
Bale, Ico is extremely open minded (all things considered :})
OT. Hey, we taxpayers paid large retention bonuses to numerous individuals that no longer work at AIG.

Tanker = QID
Gapper = GES, Hey dc, going out on a limb here. I saw it on the earnings list and thought it would be the perfect tanker but after a little dd, concluded that it looks pretty strong.
Jang, good point on GME. The market may go red still. I'm watching FAS/ FAZ and at this moment I'd go with FAZ. It held its 30 ma on the 15'
AZZ back above 50 ma today.
OT. Hi 12, Its so peaceful here, I turn my tv off the moment Kudlow and Francis come on, even though I like Trish Regan. So what's Art Cashin doing?
GME. Hi Jang, when I first heard the AMZN news I thought it was terrible for GME. But I'm thinking maybe not. I'm assuming you would need a pay pal acct to sell on amazon. I don't think all the kids that sell their games at GME would be able to do that and then they have to go to the PO and mail the games.
APP Not in since early Feb but will continue to watch.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- American Apparel Inc., the teen clothing retailer whose chief executive has recently faced legal troubles, said Tuesday that its fourth-quarter profit rose 30 percent as same-store sales increased amid new store openings.
The company, which received an $80 million investment last week, reported earnings of $3.9 million, or 5 cents per share, compared with $3 million, or 6 cents per share, a year earlier.
The per share discrepancy is due to fewer shares outstanding in the prior-year period.
Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters, whose estimates generally exclude one-time items, predicted net income of 7 cents per share.
Sales for the period ended Dec. 31 grew to $145.6 million, up 31 percent from $111.2 million.
Same-store sales increased 11 percent, as American Apparel added 32 new stores during the quarter. Same-store sales, or sales at stores open at least a year, are a key indicator of retailer performance since they measure growth at existing stores rather than newly opened ones.
On Friday, American Apparel said it would receive an $80 million investment from Lion Capital LLP that could give the private equity firm a nearly 20 percent stake in the company. The investment is much needed, as the retailer amended its revolving credit and second-lien credit facilities in December to extend maturities of the loans for three months while it looked for longer-term financing.
For the year, profit fell 9 percent to $14.1 million, or 20 cents per share, from $15.5 million, or 31 cents per share, in the previous year.
Excluding a stock-based compensation expense of 13 cents per share, earnings were 33 cents per share.
Annual sales improved to $545.1 million from $387 million, with full-year same-store sales up 22 percent.
American Apparel said it had 260 stores as of Dec. 31 as compared with 182 stores a year ago. The retailer has opened five new stores for the year to date and expects to open nine more that are currently under development. American Apparel projects that it will open 25 to 30 new stores in 2009.
The company also forecast 2009 sales of $575 million to $600 million.
In December, American Apparel Chief Executive Dov Charney and former employee Wei-Ween Y. Victorino, also known as Nikky Yang, filed lawsuits against each other that include accusations of theft, fraud, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and breach of contract. American Apparel had asked that Victorino's lawsuit be dismissed.
A month prior, Roberto Hernandez sued American Apparel and Charney in Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming he was fired a week after he refused to pad the company's balance sheet to make it more attractive to potential investors. American Apparel defended itself against the allegations, saying they were fictional.
American Apparel operates more than 260 stores and has about 10,000 workers.
Thanks, Jerry, I've gotta take off now.
HOLI Up 20%. Can't find news.
Hi Ico. Just added INTU to my watch list. I've been using turbo tax for years. This year was great. I started our taxes today and finished today! It was so smooth and fast. For the first time all my cost basis data imported from Schwab in about 1'. Last year I had to type in the cost basis for each trade.

Thanks, Berry. Your place sounds idyllic. GL this week. Your GGP looks like it should be fun tomorrow.
Green. I think the weekly candle will have a higher high and a higher low and we'll be green for the week.
OT Hi Lizzy. I REALLY liked Meghan McCain. She was clear, honest and unafraid in her forthright critique of the far right. She was very poised, especially for 24 yrs old.
OT. I'm more of a City girl so this may be a stupid question, but why do you have a deer herd? I love deer and am delighted whenever I see one, I just am not familiar with keeping a herd.
OT. Northern Ca. I see you're from Portland. How do you like it? I've heard the city planning/transportation is very progressive. Do you need a car?
Hi 12,
JUST FIVE AAA HOLDERS
The downgrade leaves just five U.S. nonfinancial companies with the top credit rating from S&P. The triple-A rating seems secure at ExxonMobil (XOM), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), Automatic Data Processing (ADP), and Microsoft (MSFT). Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer (PFE) also holds a triple-A rating, but on Jan. 26 S&P put the rating on watch for a possible downgrade, after Pfizer said it would borrow $22.5 billion to buy rival Wyeth (WYE).
I'm watching Fast Money and thinking that as much as I enjoyed Stewart's skewering of Cramer/CNBC, I am really glad the station is there for me to take what I want from. There are a lot of idiots on but there is some really good stuff too. Republicans are few and far between where I live, so its good for me to have my views challenged with a different perspective. I don't watch Cramer anymore but I think its stupid to blame him if his picks don't work out. Hey, I lost money trying to follow Zeev on trades that he did great on. I always appreciate/respect it when someone has the balls to post their trades in real time.
Interesting article, 12b, thanks for posting.
Those who want him to fail are used to their own financial gains being decoupled from how the rest of the country is doing.
