how come the court case says deadline to respond jan 25th 2018, and 3 responses are dated and timestamped jan 31st 2018? didnt that mean they missed the deadline? just looking at docket, since they met feb 1st at 11;00 to accept mutually agreed terms, hmmm. updates, please.
so how many cases does that leave to be settled? 3? 4? 5? more? do you think we will still get a little more information or perhaps hear about any other cases, that may be settled, feb 1st, as predicted? i saw where one person guessed april 1st. and another predicted this fall, september-ish. it helps to know that at least we are monitoring the progress
i sure hope to see some progress on the feb 1st
if i read it right, a couple of cases appear withdrawn, and a couple of attorneys withdrew from thier cases. Date Court Document

sorry typo meant the 1st (the 4rth is a sunday) anyway. would love some more info, updates on this, while we wait for this baby to rebound
so the next court case announcement is feb 4rth about the final distribution? not impatient just wanna stay informed, if anyone has any final dispersement info, feel free to update any new info
on track to be worst single day, EVER ughh
good point, didnt even think of that, i saw where they are pushing the new medium size cities and those Hong Kong round trips for 500 bucks, to keep those flights full (and they already were) but taking no chances with anyone pulling their market share
well don't know what is going on, but i am back in at 54.35, not planning on being a long again, but looks like a good time to make some bank. i think this will bounce to a really nice recovery in next 90 days
Will have to research how to do that missed some bargains
Question I had a bid to buy shares at 56.60, and I see in after hours it is now 56.00, will my order be processed? Or is that some special group that trades after hours?
WTH in after hours,? Up to 59.00 then dropped to 56.75? Jeez
well february is almost here, maybe get lucky with a little DCR update, would be nice to at least put a pin in this, dragging it out, is getting tiresome. hope the rumors are true, that we will be getting paid soon, before they figure a way of bleeding those funds down to not have to pay the shareholders of AAMRQ
you think the bigger drop will be after earnings announcement on pre-market thursday?
yeah i see the pre-earnings jitters as well, may get back in if it really dips into the 56.60 range. thx for input
predictions? as we move closer to earnings announcement. in the days prior and after?
well didnt think we would see 55.00 again, been here since AAMRQ, so a third is off the table at 55.00 another at 56.00 and last at 57.00, i know they say 60 is coming and i hope it does, but this has been a long time coming, thanks for all the info guys, GLTA,
anyone have more info on the huge government cargo contract AAL just landed?
********$54.00***********JS
$1.00 dollar from a new 52 week high.. go baby GO
are we really 1.5% below a new 12 month high? breakouts are so exciting
We maintain our 12-month target price of $70. AAL announces that it expects fourth quarter total revenue per available seat mile (TRASM) to rise 5.0%-6.0% versus prior guidance of up 2.5%-4.5%. It also sees its Q4 pretax margin at 6.5%-7.0% vs. prior 4.5%-6.5% guidance. We think industry momentum on unit revenues is accelerating, and see AAL as a major beneficiary of this trend. We expect AAL to outperform the industry average on unit revenues over the next year, while at the same time we see most U.S. airlines seeing moderate to strong unit revenue growth in 2018. from their lips to Gods ears, WOW, 70PPS?
bank of america, upgrades AAL, and U.S. stocks continue to rally.....AAL approaching 3rd pivot point
Last trade of day was 103,100 shares roughly 5.5 mil dollars? Wow
The US Department of Transportation announced today that it was withdrawing a pending rulemaking requiring airlines to disclose fees for baggage and other so called extra services to online travel booking sites, making comparison price shopping more difficult for consumers. This regulatory reform, pending since 2014, was started because many airlines refuse to timely disclose their fees and sometimes even their air fares to online travel sites like Expedia or Priceline. Some like Southwest also refuse to disclose their airfares claiming proprietary information, even though it's available to the general public on the airlines' web site.
Airlines are now believed make much higher profits from baggage, change fees and other ancillary fees than from airfares. The DOT also withdrew a rulemaking to require airlines disclose profits on ancillary fees.
Paul Hudson, president of FlyersRights.org the largest airline passenger organization, noted,
"This is NOT how you make air travel great again.Airlines are already exempt from all state and local consumer protection, much antitrust law, most other federal regulations and tort law.The DOT is their sole regulator. If the DOT refuses to correct abuses or enforce existing regulations (as happened in the Dr. Dao case new.flyersrights.org/uncategorized/winds-of-change/ ), and repeals existing regulations, airlines will be the first US industry to have stripped the public of all economic protections from unfair predatory practices.Only Congress and the federal courts can now override this unfortunate DOT decision."
what effect on share price, do you think will happen, when the final dispersement occurs? (i know the funds are already in a separate fund, and been figured in with he BK) however, as news announcements always play into speculation. do you think people will find closure and sell, and move on. or do you think might build confidence with the final operating integration. ready for some synergies to kick in
American says it has found pilots for most Christmas flights
American Airlines says only a few hundred of its late December flights remain without pilots scheduled to fly the plane.
An airline spokesman said Thursday that pilots were picking up extra flights and the airline had more on-call pilots in December than during other months.
The pilots' union had said that more than 15,000 flights lacked a captain, co-pilot or both when a problem was discovered in the company's scheduling system. Pilots were allowed to take vacation days in the last two weeks of December even if there wasn't another pilot available to operate the flight.
American has about 15,000 pilots to operate roughly 200,000 flights scheduled during December. Fort Worth-based American is the world's largest airline.
Stock market up 135.? That’s nice after yesterday
well somebody is buying.....maybe a player is lowering his share average
like the waiting alone, wasn't its own reward. hahahahah well, good 4Q everyone.
forgive me, for bringing it up again, but any new data on the final payout, dates still guesstimated at
around fall of 2018? just asking, since nothing happen with stock now, so looking at other avenues
yep, racism is bad, (probably worse lately) and we see horrible examples in the world, daily, but in fairness some of the stories are more in line with expectations not being met, or poor customer service, or poor perception, a lot of times, customers don't have all the information and don't realize what crews are looking for, with a safety or security threat, i have heard many captains ask a psgr who may have already had a few drinks or was very emotional or distraught over something, as they get on, "are we gonna have a problem?" or "do you feel you are going to be able to comply with the rules" these are legit questions, not meant to treat someone like a child or racism. you can be insulted all you want, but sadly with all the reports of people trying to act out on planes, etc. it is a reasonable question. i question her ability to accurately guess his motivation, you can't tell what was in his mind when he asked. and the words he used were standard. i hope this is resolved, she has already been contacted numerous times, she doesn't want to meet with the people who take care of these situations and she doesn't want money, she has made it clear she wants to meet with the top guy, will look good on her resume, and i am sure her lawyer will love the leverage it will bring, if she asks for corporate over sight, instead of money, or fame, then i will be impressed
AA has won awards on diversity, and inclusion for employees as well as customers.
people will shout to the heavens, for better service, better food, better schedules, but when they book, they book almost exclusively on price, this is a blimp on the screen.
