Yes, so this is the only cheaper way I can save some of the CT stocks. I don’t have to deal with an attorney.
I am going to wait and see how far they want to walk with me through this difficult time.
Good news from TD, 15mins ago,
They allow me to order certificates for Lehlq, LEHNQ, LHHMQ.
Only three of them. I can only afford two. This is the cheapest way so far I can handle.
At least, I can celebrate at same time as the moment coming.
I only had two purchases with few hundreds cost this year.
No sale before this event. I sold one per their request.
The reason is getting more clear to me. Looks like some one needs my CTs.
SIPC filing has no power to regulate.
Filed to state regulators, wait and see,
Any better suggestions are welcome.
Looks like I got two restrictions, first from TD “ restriction to buy “ Which made me worry Day by day for the transfer and sell instruction got from them.
As I found the penny stocks were no way to transfer, I requested CT certificate which were chilled by DTC as well.
I remember someone called TD before, there was no such DTC chill issue before.
Did anyone receive same notices as Jersey from TD?
We all saw cleared black and white notice from UK ECAPS which will have substituted preferred shares to be issued.
Will anyone sell CTs here? I don’t think so,
I have sent email to SIPC for their assistance.
Thank you “Sidedraft”
BREAKING DOWN 'Non-Marketable Security'
Most nonmarketable securities are government-issued debt instruments. Common examples of nonmarketable securities include U.S. savings bonds, rural electrification certificates, private shares, state and local government securities, and federal government series bonds. Nonmarketable securities that are prohibited from being resold, such as U.S. savings bonds, are required to be held until maturity.
Limited partnership investments are an example of a private security that may be nonmarketable due to the difficulty of reselling. Another example is private shares held by an owner of a company that is not publicly traded.

“ Most nonmarketable securities are government-issued debt instruments “
Are we, CTs, non marketable securities?
How about stocks in Escrow OBS?
What notice, same restriction notice as mine?
If it’s so positive, why I am the only one here unfairly treated to be set a restriction. All investors should get equal opportunity.
I hope this is not a discrimination and misconduct case alone.
Looks like I have to find an attorney.
I thought I can wait either TD or Lehman will have more positive information comes out.
“ No reason will be provided for the relationship being terminated. This is a TD business decision and you would have receive a letter in the mail. “
if those LEhman CTs are worthless, why TD did this to me.
I couldn’t transfer CTs to other firms, I couldn’t get my certificate from them. They asked me to sell my holdings or they may liquidate my holding for an non-margin account.
I don’t get it.
What is “ the run around sue “or the “the circle jerk” ? Tia
WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN A SECURITY IS “CHILLED” AT DTC?

Category: Issuer Services FAQs

Asset Services Corporate Actions Issuer Services
DTC may at times place temporary or permanent restrictions on certain transactions, such as deposits or withdrawals of certificates. Such a restriction is known as a chill. For example, DTC may impose a temporary chill that restricts book-entry movement of securities, effectively closing the books and stabilizing existing positions until a merger or other reorganization has been completed.
Chills are also placed when, among other things, regulators take certain actions, or when there are questions about an issuer’s compliance with applicable law.
This the message I just got from TD
“ ..... This is a TD Ameritrade business decision and you would have receive a letter in the mail. This is why you are unable to add any positions to your account. LHHMQ and LEHLQ cannot be certificated at this time as there is a DTC chill.
“
I might get one, however I did not open always for monthly statement, as I request them the reason one more time, they won’t give it to me.
What is DTC chill? Tia
No ask and bid size for LHHMQ?? Only one 1000 shares ask at 25$
Hmm
Sounds like I am the one. I have to check my “restriction “ status quite often. And looks like no correction up to date.
"1 : a person excluded from the benefit or protection of the law."
or
"b : a person or organization under a ban or restriction."
Thank you for your help.
I got email from “ Resource Desk, “ only tell me the cost of certificate is $500 each. No stock name mentioned.
I am still waiting the answer whether I can order and get certificate of Lehman Capital Trust stocks.
Thanks
I got written quotation it’s $500 per certificate.
California,
Thanks let us wait and see your response for them.
Email always forwarding to head office, nothing to do with local office. Or there is a center to deal with all coming emails and allocate emails to related Dept. I guess
Can you email them from message center ask them whether you can order CT certificate and how much they will charge each?
Thanks
Thanks a lot.
I just need some one who can send a email to make inquiry see what the answer will be. If other customer can get certificate, and pay less. Then I was unfairly treated.
I wrote them emails and will address those issue you mentioned by certificates letter.
Thanks , I will try your suggestion. Thanks,
Cause TD cancelled one of my GTC buy order couple months ago. I did not pay attention to ask them.
Sorry Dept to order certificates.
Can you do me a favor, call the transfer Dept, ask the staff there, whether you can order those CT certificates?
Better make inquiry through message center just make inquiry like you what to order certificates can you get, will they issue?
Things getting more weird.
I can’t transfer my CT stocks to any other brokerage firm due to its penny stocks. TD does not allow me to order certificates, even it’s $500each. Even I can only afford to order two.
The thing worry me the most is the guy said company may sell my stocks without my permission and consent.
I did not owe them money, this is non-morgan account.
Any suggestion? Only the brokerage looking for more Lehman CT stocks may take, then I will fall into another trouble.
Copy and paste from COTTON’s message
“ LBHI signed their August and September 2008 guaranties and security agreements prepetition.
Pre December 6, 2011, a deal was cut to contractually let LBHI’s creditors have the value of the CTs/TRuPS BNYM's Trusts (class 10ABC reallocations) and the value of the UK's ECAPS partnerships.
The CTs/TRuPS and ECAPS guarantees gives them the ability to receive payments without going thru the trusts or parnerships, respectively. This is why a subset of the ECAPS were given allowed claims (payments on their principal balance) on June 22 and July 12 of 2016 (see my previous posts). “
I always contact TD, I ordered two other stock’s certificates before from TD.
Any figures for our past total distributions which has been forwarded to higher classes? Tia
If we did forward our distributions, we may have positive direction just like Cotton stated previously. We compromised the deals with other creditors.
Schwab won’t take penny stocks transfer from other brokerage firm, this is message I got today.
I don’t know how TD will handle my escrow stocks which are not tradable and most of them are pending for court decisions.
Looks like I couldn’t transfer escrow shares as well.
TD allowed me to order three Lehman CTs, lehlq, LEHNQ, LHHMQ, but not Lehkq.
I am waiting for the written quotation for each certificate.
I was quoted 500$ each from three different employees in TD.
Any one paid 500$ for each certificate before?
Some one tried to drive me crazy.
those are fake money to me.
I wish you all can win, I may need extra efforts and struggles at the time you are celebrating.
If CTs were worthless as someone in TD stated to Fidelity, they just transfer as I requested.
These are OTC, and still trading with. Values.
I don’t think a representative in the brokerage can tell their customers or other brokerage firm like this.
I had GM, WAMU which companies all filed BK, those shares were worthless too, but, years later I got new shares of new companies.
Some one needs my shares, this is only reason. IMHO
You have to give a written request, and charges will deduct from your account. The certificate mailed from other place, not brokerage firm. But never heard 500$ for one certificate.
I have sent them several emails, I made screen copy and as the message showed up on screen that TD has received my email, I made another screen copy.
Cause, normally I send out emails I always marked a duplicate copy returned to me, however I did not receive any those echo emails. This was so weird to me.
I transferred partial ( all 4 Lehman CTs) to fidelity first last week. TD rejected them, and I have record for this request.
I transfer partial to the Schwab this Monday. I have to wait and see.
I know there is something going on there, otherwise TD won’t ask me to pay 500$ for one certificate. I ordered twice before. I ask TD give me a written quote, they don’t have any answer so far.
Thanks for all your help.
I have individual non-margin account. I got call from Fidelity yesterday that TD couldn’t deliver to them TD said those were worthless stocks, they just can’t transfer. I just don’t know how to keep my CTs. One of the TD representative told me TD may even liquidate my holdings. On the other hand, TD told me to find another brokerage firm that is willing to take my CTs, TD is very happy to transfer to that brokerage firm. I just stuck here.
Actually this is the only way I can hold my CT stocks. TD wanted me to to transfer or sell, I know Lehman CTs are the key issue which caused problem. I had GTC buy order for one of the CTs, after weeks running, it was cancelled automaticity without my consent. I knew maybe some guys shorted those stocks they have no stocks to cover. Cause I have almost 470,000 shares of 4 CTs. One of TD representatives even quoted me 500$ for each certificate. I just don’t know what is going on there.
Maybe Lehman is going to issue new substituted preferred stocks.
