Exactly, not every investor is on ihub...and more importantly neither are the companies that may or may not want to try the product who see this.
If there is a PR about release date, there should be a PR regarding delays. Not a big announcement about the release and then emailing someone on a forum regarding a delay.
I never saw any PRs stating reasons for delays...
Here is a PR for a release date -
CHICAGO -- Spooz, Inc. (OTC:SPZI) announced today that after consultation with its primary development contractor, Software Options of Chicago, Spooz has set March 24, 2006 as a firm date for the launch of Spooz's flagship product, SpoozToolz. Upon its release, SpoozToolz will provide connectivity to nearly 60 domestic and foreign exchanges and 23 brokerage firms.
Where is the OFFICIAL announcement for the delay?
Another from Spooz'z own website -
We plan to accomplish the integration of our Fractal Finance CUBED into version 2 of the SpoozToolz platform for its planned release date in early 2007.” (http://www.spooztoolz.com/press_details.aspx?ContentID=85)
Where is the OFFICAL announcement of this delay?
I am not trying to stir a bunch of stuff up...but when you say my statements are untrue I had to back it up. We all want the stock to go up but lets stop fluffing it and hopefully Spooz will eventually hear the stockholders frustration and start holding themselves a little more accountible.
I look forward to it. T-minus 10 business days...tick tock, tick tock.
I think it is a slippery slope using other people's failures to excuse Spooz'z shortcomings....especially when other companies are very public about delays.
For instance, you use Microsoft as a reference...but Microsoft notifys about delays, explains why there is a delay and when the release can be expected. (http://www.news.com/8301-10784_3-9768378-7.html)
In contrast, Spooz has let deadlines pass and then pretended that those deadlines didn't exist. Then a new "unofficial" deadline is established without even acknowledging the previous one...and all without any communication.
Software development (and IT project in general) has very poor statistics on successful releases and what would be considered a success from a project management standpoint. Merely search for "project management failure percentage" and then do some reading.
However just because failures may be considered prolific in this realm, does not make it ok for Spooz to miss several deadlines without any official communication about why the deadline was missed or establishing an new official release date and specifics therein.
It is true that complaining doesn't help anything but being incessantly optimistic in the face of numerous delays is detrimental to credibility for the poster/investor.
People should be allowed to voice concerns and debate about any issue relating to Spooz without being labeled a basher. Otherwise we should all be on the payroll and enlisted as the marketing department for Spooz.
Not trying to burst anyones bubble here...
It is nice to see they have got a forum up and running, but this is a free php template you can find online and create your own in a short period of time by simply customizing a couple of fields.
Notice the similarities with these sites -

I know the company is in a start up phase so I am sure they would not develop their own website/forums but I just wanted to keep things in perspective so people didn't assume that this was proof positive that the promises made will be fulfilled.
2.5 weeks until we know what is what...
That is Henna not a tattoo but it is still cool.
I hope PPS does go through the roof.
Several experts are picking Seahawks to upset the packers and describing their last defensive performance as similiar to the '85 Bears. And a snowball has a great chance in Greenbay because it is cold there. :-P
Spooz should be ok if they would finally release it. It is time to open Spooz-dora's Box and let Spoozilla run wild.
We could discuss how the Seahawks beating the Packers could favorably impact the PPS of SPZI. Well at least it will favorably impact my mood anyway.
Can someone post the link of the automated software naming Spooz as its number one pick? The other link was just a link to Yahoo Finance.
The current school of thought is that it will be released on Jan 31st at approximately 12:59pm. :-P
Don't rockets usually go up...hmmm, unless it is a terribly flawed rocket then yes I see your point.
How about if it doesn't launch we will be going down like a obese sloth in a sink hole.
I got mine which is the better part of a million. I am just waiting to see if STv2 gets released this month as promised....if it doesn't happen I imagine I (and many others) will have a lot to say.
Totally...this is crunch time. I am willing to accept that retail is not available until Q2 or Q3 and that the Jan release date is for professionals and brokerages. But if the Jan. deadline comes and goes without any news of even releasing STv2 to the pros...I am going to probably lose my mind and seriously consider getting out of this position.
They promise it will be released on Jan 15 in one complete sentence. "SpoozToolz will be released Jan 15 for distribution through brokerages worldwide." There should be no room for interpretation there as it is clear cut.
I really hope something like this gets announced...but it seems like a lot of the "insiders" are preparing everyone for a let down with deliberate wording in recent posts. I am not bashing as I am quite long in this position...just worried with all the promises not being fulfilled and no product after so long. Plus after the last delay...the stock went way down based on people's frustrations with missing release dates and it makes one wonder what will happen if they miss the release again...and whether one wants to be holding the bag if the release doesn't occur.
I am still very hopeful with the Jan 15th possibility.
Why would Errol be answering the phone for STv2 questions at all? I was so suprised that is may have been him that I questioned it in my original post. I mean he should just be doing 141 stuff right now, correct?
TT connectivity was established on June 11th 2007 and no other gateways have been added since.
Well it is already released by your interpretation then possibly.
It was my understanding that the software for retail would be available in Jan '08 according to the announcement at the expo. Correct me if I am wrong though
So I called Spooz Headquarters about an hour ago while I was on my daily lunch walk at work and I told the receptionist that I was interested in Spooz Toolz and that I had put my contact information on the mailing list to be alerted upon the release of the STv2 software some time back and have not heard back after a substantial amount of time. She asked what company I worked with and I stated that I am a private trader interested in their product at which time she said she would have to transfer me to someone.
A gentleman answered the phone that identified himself as “Errol” or something that sounded similar, although I know Errol Stone went to 141 so I don’t know why it would be him if it actually was…but perhaps since I was outside I didn’t hear that well on the name. I told the man on the phone that I was interested in Spooz Toolz and had signed up to the mailing list to be notified about its release but had not heard anything in a long time.
The good news – He basically confirmed that STv2 is working and being used by professional trading companies (not company) so it sounds like additional companies might be using it other than just 141.
The bad news – He said that they still only have connectivity to TT and that once they established connectivity to other trading gateways then they would be able to release the software suite to individuals. I asked for an ETA for when they would have connectivity and he had no idea. He did not mention January or any timeframe so I am not really holding my breath on the Jan ’08 STv2 release.
Note: This is my best depiction of my conversation I had with persons at Spooz Headquarters. I am not a trading expert so if I mangled any terminology or misunderstood anything I heard, hopefully an expert can interpret any inaccuracies.
That is the kind of history that scares me, although again I am still optimistic.
It is about what was not said...rather than what was said.
The PPS dropped without any bad PRs being released but this was after several delays in product release. One of the main issues in my opinion is not just the delays of product release but the non-existant communication once the release date has past. It seems like every time a release time frame was established and missed for STv2...the company did not ackowledge that a deadline was even set or communicate why they missed the projected release date. Then some time later a new deadline is set without any mention of the previous timeframe that was missed and disregarded.
I am not trying to be negative and I have high hopes for Spooz so I am praying that this trend does not continue.
T-minus 24 days and counting...
Various people have stated that Spooztoolz is a stand-alone product which could be released independently of STv2. I am all for releasing the methaphoric "Cheeseburger, fries and a coke" but I just want to make sure the drive through attendant does not forget to put the cheeseburger in the bag.
We shouldn't even be talking about Spooz Chartz...this is supposed to be the month of the release of the flagship product SpoozToolz. If they want to release the charts thing too this month that is great but it better not be in lieu of STv2.
No, I am saying that I (and I would assume that most investors) are anticipating the release of STv2 and not too concerned about anything else.
I would like to see the flagship product get released as promised and not a consolation prize of the charting software. As long as they release STv2 in Jan '08 I will be happy...once they do that they can release whatever else they want as well...Spooz Newz, Spooz Fooz, Spooz Booz, Etc.
Good post...it seems that some people might know something that most don't. As it seems like there is a concerted effort to prepare investors for STv2 not being released and instead having Spooz Charters or something similiar instead. I have no factual basis for this...it is just a feeling I get from several different people posting verbiage like "I wonder what is going to be launched", "The PR this month might not be what is expected" and "Spooz Charts is a stand-alone product...".
It was announced at the expo that STv2 is going to be released in Jan '08 and that link you provided (http://tinyurl.com/2uzu5e) states STv2 getting released Jan '08 so I hope they follow through this time because I think this is the last straw for many longs if there is another delay.
Everyone is just scared that the release will be delayed and January will pass without anyone from Spooz announcing anything about the release...they will be like "What release?...We never gave an official PR on our release date."
Not that this is going to be what happens but I think people are scared it will happen...I know I am, but I am optimistic.
Is Paul still in contact with this board? I remember a while ago he was fielding questions from a united communication from various members. Is he still doing that and if so what did he have to sat about the pressing issues that are brought up consistently here? (500K?, release schedule, etc)
That is why I said that maybe I was misinformed and that someone could further clarify Mr. Sunshine!!!
Here is the PR -
"141 Capital, Inc. (OTC:XXIS - News) announced today that it has funded the first part of its commitment regarding the exclusive licensing of the Statistically Weighted Arbitrage Recognition Model (“SWARM”) for derivatives, by issuing 120 million restricted common shares to Spooz, Inc."
So "funding the first part of its commitment" mean what?
Wasn't it paid in restricted stock? I thought the last Capital 141 PR stated that they paid for the SWARM license with 120 million restricted stocks. Maybe I am misinformed though...sp perhaps someone more knowledgable can elaborate.
I agree, the launch date is the most important thing. Everyone is excited about the release and hopefully it comes through this time. If there is another delay, I fear there will be a big fallout.
There is a compatibilty pack that Microsoft provides for people to open 2007 documents (xlsx, docx, etc) who do not have office 2007...

That is why Office 2007 is more of a concern than the Vista OS because of the file type extension changing from .xls to xlsx
It makes sense that it would work with Vista because it runs mainly off of excel. I guess a good question would be "Does it work with Office 2007?" because the default file type extensions are different. Excel documents historically have gotten saved as .xls but now with Office 2007 they are .xlsx
A lot of people jumping on the band wagon before the projected launch date it seems.
I hope Fedfunz is enjoying his new job at Spooz...too bad we can't get any information from him about how it is going over there.
It was nice to have an up day but sad to see a fall from .009 to .007
I wonder when in Jan the launch is planned. It would be nice early in Jan. but maybe it would be better for the greatest PPS rise to wait until the end of the month.
Glad I snagged some at .004 while it was down.
Here we go guys...it seems all the anticipation is building up at the end of the year and even the critics are trying to get back in now before Jan 2008. If the launch goes through successfully, things are going to get very interesting in the first couple months of '08.
Congrats to the longs who hung in there!
Oh, I didn't get more today at .004...I just mean I was able to get more while it has been down.
