Great news:
Red Giant Entertainment Inc (OTCQB: REDG) wraps post-production today on its first animated feature film, currently titled Journey to Magika. A young boy's hair-raising adventures in search of his family in a mystical land of Asian myths and monsters, this full-length all-ages fantasy movie was rendered in a colorful mix of classic full 2-D animation and CGI.
Red Giant Entertainment further has announced plans to forego many traditional distribution methods with this film, and focus its attention on the multi-million dollar digital platforms such as Hulu, Amazon.com, iTunes and others in a similar space as its primary distribution method.
"We realize that there are tremendous opportunities for us to drive traffic in ways that will monetize small animations and other series," stated Red Giant CEO Benny Powell. "We feel that Magika is the perfect test vehicle for what should be a highly lucrative business model. There are millions of dollars to be made in this space and we are well-positioned to explore it."
Journey to Magika also serves as a pilot for a planned series of half-hour episodes to be made similarly available through online, streaming and digital delivery vendors. Production has also begun on an Adventures in Magika series of comic book stories that will further embellish the onscreen adventures big and small.
By leveraging a small portion of the more than two hundred million ad impressions within their Web comic network, Red Giant Entertainment expects to point new audiences to these platforms where they can either watch the content for free and generate subsequent advertising revenue, rent them, or even purchase digitally.
In a significant innovation, Magika is the first animated feature to include planned product placement opportunities globally, specific to each country the film appears -- not only for new advertisers but for those appearing in Red Giant's line of print comics.
Multi-award-winning composer and arranger Jessie Lasaten wrote the musical score and recorded it with a live orchestra with the help of the FILharmoniKA, conducted by Gerard Salonga, while internationally-renowned performer Lea Salonga -- best known to American audiences as the singing voice of Princess Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin -- sang an international version the movie's theme song "Fly" for the soundtrack.
Executive produced by Jessie Lasaten and produced by David Campiti, Journey to Magika's screenplay is by New York Times best-selling author David Lawrence, Temi Abad, and Eric Cabahug, and is directed by Robert Quilao.
The film, developed and animated by Glass House Graphics and Cutting Edge Productions, boasts Red Giant's Benny Powell, Isen Robbins, and Aimee Schoof as producers. Working with Strategic Film Partners, Robbins and Schoof will oversee worldwide theatrical and DVD/Blu-Ray distribution as well.
"This is just the first step in our ongoing plans to bring content from Asian and other markets to the U.S. digital world," explains Powell. "We've already seen an explosion of viewers on platforms such as Hulu for Asian translations. Our connections and experience in this realm have given us inroads to this market as well. Many negotiations are already underway, with more announcements to follow soon."

Little more teasing today...Come on GCLL>>>
ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - Mar 4, 2013) - Red Giant Entertainment Inc. (OTCQB: REDG) announced today its acquisition of all outstanding shares of ComicGenesis, LLC, a Nevada company, through a share exchange agreement with owner Chris Crosby. Crosby, who recently joined as a member of the Board of Directors of Red Giant Entertainment, will continue running ComicGenesis. Crosby also co-founded and serves as CEO of Keenspot, which has been a strategic partner of Red Giant since 2010 and distributes Red Giant's comic book properties digitally.
Launched in 2000, ComicGenesis.com is a top user-generated comics website described by some as "YouTube for comics." The site allows users to upload and display their own comics online, with display customization abilities that are unavailable through virtually all competitors. In 2012, the site generated nearly 75 million ad views and boasts over 13,500 unique comic series in its collective.
"This acquisition gives our advertisers an even greater access to a wide audience of readers through a vast array of budding artists," stated Red Giant Entertainment CEO, Benny Powell. "We are committed to supporting the members of ComicGenesis and continue to provide them a platform for their creative expression. We believe that by providing the talented creators with a cost-free canvas, we can help foster tomorrow's great ideas, today."
The site began as a spin-off from wildly popular webcomics portal Keenspot.com. The all-inclusive ComicGenesis.com has quickly expanded to include over 10,000 different comic properties by amateur creators -- many of whom went on to become some of the biggest stars in online comics.
"I'm definitely excited about all the possibilities now that ComicGenesis will be part of Red Giant Entertainment," said Crosby. "Expect news in the coming weeks and months on the unexpected and creatively exciting new ways Red Giant will be leveraging the well-known ComicGenesis brand and its base of enthusiastic comic creators and fans. The future of ComicGenesis looks bright."

I've been holding shares from last summer. Still hoping someday somewhere somehow something will happen here...
Red Giant Entertainment Inc (OTCQB: REDG) went live, today, with a massive redesign of their corporate site at RedGiantEntertainment.com.
The new version of the site spotlights thirty-six comic properties, the cornerstone of their development platform. Of these, more than twenty transmedia projects are already in production, with most building immense audiences worldwide as serialized online webcomics.
"We hadn't had a chance to fully update all of the exciting developments we've been hard at work on," explains Red Giant CEO, Benny Powell. "We had focused on creating our projects and building audiences as our primary goal. We achieved these goals, but now was the time to unify our properties under the Red Giant branded site that better illustrates the massive scope of properties we are working on."
Red Giant related properties attracted more than 150 million ad impressions last year through their Webcomics division, with nearly 14 million in January 2013 alone. All of these eyeballs tune in regularly to explore the many unique worlds and cast of thousands represented in these books.
"Our properties have already been attracting a lot of attention in the entertainment media and readership alike," Powell said. "This new site will give our audience, advertisers, licensing and development companies better access to the wide range of projects we have available."
The site further reveals over a dozen new comic projects to their lineup of high-appeal genres. Details on all thirty-six properties are accompanied by beautiful, high-resolution artwork from each series.
Also featured on the site, Red Giant has an array of film properties in development. In addition to the half dozen titles in various stages of production, their relationship with strategic partners, Intrinsic Value Films gives them access to a wealth of properties and experience. Front and center is the company's first animated full-length feature "Journey to Magika," a family fantasy adventure. Additionally, the Simon Hunter directed property, LAST BLOOD, is likewise a centerpiece.
"This is just the first step," Powell promises. "We have much more in store in the coming days, weeks and months ahead. Stay tuned."
