CNBC is covering MJ topic and legal MJ in California. talking about billions of dollars in rev. good publicity for sector.
IMO the dumb retail investor is going to buy growers because that is what is always talked about. sort of like the lead singer of a band.
Researcher, indeed- congrats! based on the fundamentals this to me is at least as strong of a stock, and at better value. makes zero sense POTN cant hit .10 let alone break $1. one could make the argument of conversions being the issue (not likely), but for NXTTF the present market cap and share price vs earnings has grown way out of control.
Researcher - exactly! a good accountant has to be able to think outside the box just as well as calculate dimensions of the box. - or something like that.. heh
Researcher yes I agree- we all have methods to our own madness. and yes its all about the comfort level resulting from personal style of research. Don't get me wrong- i have no interest in how we book our expenses or playing accountant, that would make my brain explode. but I do sit in on our finance related meetings. The best accountants are able to reel in the many odd expenditures and book them appropriately (e.g. usually creatively), and, in a manner that will pass regulatory compliance auditing.
I did not mean to offend with the "familiar with" statement, however most investors have never been on the corporate exec side of the desk. Not saying you have or have not. I'm only offering my additional point of view which I felt was missing from the conversation.
Happy Holidays!
Florida- very good post, I 100% agree with all of your thoughts. POTN does make me scratch my head though, for example NXTTF is similar in emerging growth, CBD play, similar record sales news- but the stock has actually run way up (as it should) whereas POTN has a boat anchor and cant even add a penny of price increase. Heck POTN stock price was higher before all the good news. lol
I'm still long this stock and consider it a five star buy, but sometimes, things make no sense. that is where the term 'patience' comes in. i mean anyone buying NXTTF at current price would be stupid to not also hold POTN which has not run up.
I am not long any cryptos i trade in and immediately out. it is so hard to get a crypto buy/sell execution now, all of the exchanges are backlogged. it's a joke. For example I was tryign to buy some XRP with BTC and the execution was permanently hung up. waited a couple hours by then XRP had jumped 40% - pissing me off to no damn end. i cancelled the buy though. but seriously lost chance to make good money due to bad exchange networks for bitcoin. this type of issue is becoming the norm and soon everyone is going to get fed up with this and will get back into the liquidity of stocks
good stuff- i've been looking at same stocks. I missed INSY as I thought POTN has more potential. PURA is on watch but could not hold gains and is down to 0.376 - but looks good as long as their pharma deals pan out.
IMO- the best money makers are going to be CBD related and doing online sales. the least profitable will be those selling though brick n mortar pharma retail shops. im staying away from those.
i primarily like companies who sell their goods online, produce CBD in bulk for resale, and companies providing grow infrastructure / planning.
to me, the store pharmacy related plays will have too much overhead, local regs and hassle to have a large profit margin.
Sounds about normal. very few successful company execs without a shady story of some sort. successful personalities have a mix of good and bad. look at our president for example. executing like crazy but shady? well, yes. so what. motivation is typically money, ego and success. I'm ok with all three, they can do all the hookers and coke they want as long as ER's remain strong + growing YoY.
BTW I'll take Mayweather's Koenigsegg please! bad ass. http://autoweek.com/article/car-life/money-mayweather-buys-48-million-koenigsegg-ccxr-trevita
Respectfully, you all need to chill and let them run the company. Expenses get booked, formatted and reported by the bean counter. Raise your hands if you run a large corporation and are familiar with booking expenses for quarterly reporting (I'm raising my hand). I'm not trying to be snide, just offering a different perspective and i don't see anything odd with the numbers.
You should only worry when the company is not executing, not increasing revenue and not delivering on promises. they are currently delivering in spades, yes? go relax and have a happy holiday. egg nog with extra nog :D
from what i am seeing they are already working in that direction. the share count won't change a whole lot until current financing source is kicked to the curb. but good revenues will solve a lot of issues like this and it seems to be happening.
John you need some education. Authorized shares mean nothing. Every pub co has a large pool of auth shares they can use later down the line to help raise capital as available shares via offering. 1 billion registered shares is nothing. there are tons of ill-liquid startups with no revenue and billions of outstanding traded shares.
agin, registered shares means nothing by itself. the available share count for POTN is what matters and it is well within reason, well below the norm. this is one of the healthiest emerging penny stocks out there at present.
either you know nothing about corporate structuring of a public company or you have a short sale agenda. I hope it is the former.
Good day longs, what we're not over .07c yet? lol. saw the open at .0695 but softened up a bit. on the upside, it will give me an opportunity to load up more shares once one of my other trades comes through.
All data is easily obtainable and i don't know more than any other seasoned investor with ability to be thorough. Your "yahoo" link or whatever that was as your "only thing you could find", just makes me face palm at the level of ineptitude.
Tomorrow- whatever. up or down. so what. Big diff here is you think in terms of 'tomorrow' and I think in terms of years. shortsighted vs longsighted. trading SNAP vs owning Amazon. Very different mentality.
You've been here since 2014 and have... zero followers? that pretty much sums it up.
Differences aside, I hope you have a decent Holiday Season and are surrounded by those who care about you.
100% absolutely will obtain Taiwanese gov approval. And GBIL 100% will obtain CFDA approval in China for surgibot.
Lets have a show of hands how many of you have a global company that is presently doing business in China (Hello- I'm raising my hand).
Also, any of you play chess or at least read the Art of War? (I'm still raising my hand)
Business in China and most all of Asia is vastly different than USA. it is an "old boys club". once you are "in" you are in, you grease the wheels of your constituents in office and everything goes down like clockwork.
Next to impossible for foreign companies to get in to the club. Pope is a genius forming a relationship with GBIL for the "in the door", via the "back door" (strong chess move here, knight takes the Queen).
The excellent but paltry revenue from sale of surgibot assets is peanuts to what TRXC will secure later on with Senhance sales and CFDA approval.
GBIL gets a win with surgibot in hand, and TRXC gets a win with the gold card to China medical business. (insert applicable Art of War quote here)
I'm very impressed by Pope's angle and success. the guy is smart and a tactician.
I'd say sit back and watch 2018 unfold for TRXC. or not. You can always invest in crypto-kitties I hear those are "valuable". :P
got it- thanks. appreciate your efforts
FYI you could put a single sticky with multiple sources of into in it correct? and update it as needed?
e.g. "current notable info see here:"
maybe?
whats up with that- i have seen other boards here with several stickies at the top. odd?
Yes, that is 2 more than I or most anyone who's properly DD's this company expected them to sell post FDA- Rather bullish IMO, quite an accomplishment in such a short time.
Not sure if you are aware how long the procurement process is on big ticket items at hospitals. Usually 90 days or more. Most of us expected sales to begin in Q2 2018. Hospitals right now are simply doing FY 2018 capex budgeting, particularly with the pending tax law changes.
How do I know? Because my company sells security-related software to hospitals. I'm very familiar with their buying cycles and end of year is not when buying occurs. But I can guarantee many of them have inquired on pricing or have received informal quotes, for budgetary purposes.
These are my opinions based on my knowledge / research. What does your research tell you?
Wow Longmoney, all that shows me is how horrible you are at doing homework / finding info.
?? So im baffled. You don't own RIOT long do you? then I'd really be worried.
another nice bit of press: https://www.zacks.com/stock/news/286412/transenterix-amp-gbil-ink-deal-to-commercialize-surgibot-system
why are we not up to $6? because we are not selling crypto-kitties or offering some type of blockchain angle. earnings mean nothing. see RIOT and Longview for examples of stupid money following worthless hype.
trust your homework and stick with the companies actually earning money and growing. (you do actually do homework right?), sit tight and profit when it is time.
LOL -not necessarily. have you seen how many stocks are run up with no earnings, bad books, no sales or pipeline, billions of available shares and upwards of half billion mkt cap, simply because they mention an angle with crypto? For example Longview up 1000% to $70 on pure hype, the CEO came on tv and said the stock is not worth more than $5 tops. the CEO!
We are not living in normal times - some really stupid, stupid folks throwing money at junk and loving it. This will pass of course but it is amazing, the level of pure idiocy- especially on the heels of the last big bubble. folks don't learn.
Meanwhile i'm buying all of the "down" stocks, e.g. the ones with actual good earnings and making money with huge yearly growth. what a concept, right? heh
Good one Bull. IMO all is see here is good story getting better. If the execs are "crooks" as some have claimed, so what- As long as they stay the course and keep executing, growing revenue and value. I did not buy shares here for the free girl scout cookies. :D
about preferred shares - please read. JMO FWIW
I see a lot of back n forth about the "retirement" of common shares and subsequent conversion to preferred shares. i'm reading that a lot of you think this is instantly bad and will cause major shareholder dilution.
this is not necessarily the case. preferred shares are a completely different class of share. they can have much less value per share, and usually do, versus the common share. However, preferreds carry other benefits such as higher dividend payout, surplus earnings payout, and claim of right to company assets.
IMO, retiring the common shares (term is technically and legally correct), and increasing the preferred shares is not an attempt at
shareholder dilution. My take is, they are preparing to obtain better financing and get away from the present toxic debt setup.
Good capital investment sources normally want preferred shares only. a company might make available or increase available preferred shares because it believes that it can secure more favorable financing versus when only issuing common shares.
I was right on the half-penny-gain call, almost. what a joke! kidding- hanging in there the great story here has only gotten better.
why are PHOT and others in same CBD play running up but we have a boat anchor and cannot even budge a penny? Heck, PHOT has more than 2 billion shares, insane mkt cap, bad balance sheet and just submitted an offering without registration (Reg D, 506 - that's bad for shareholders) - its up 25% today on large volume.
are we in an age of outright stupid retail investors? head scratcher.
none of you care about the Reg D? stock can drop just as fast with unfavorable securities offerings. there are already 2 billion shares. i like the stock and prospect - just wondering who here has done their homework
Anyone have info on Reg D offering? what is that all about-
Rule 506 of Reg. D sets out the third registration exemption. Rule 506 allows your company to raise an unlimited amount of money from an unlimited number of "sophisticated investors," with no more than 35 of those investors being non-accredited. A "sophisticated investor" is an investor who either has sufficient knowledge and experience with investing to be able to evaluate the risks and merits of an offering or an investor who represents to the offering company, in writing, that he or she has obtained the assistance of a "purchaser representative" who possesses that knowledge and experience. All accredited investors are deemed to be sophisticated investors. Rule 506 imposes the same disclosure requirements as Rules 504 and 505.
LOL go do some research Longmoney its all easy to find. Can't use the internet or something? ..and you wonder why no one posts on this board anymore. attitudes.
Thanks Bull congrats.
we are up 0.001! woohoo to the moon! lol
Nice news this morning. I like seeing those numbers. Hey maybe we go up a full one-half penny today? (lol kidding - patience!)
this all feels like acquisition setup. Valid shelf registration, super fat licensing deal for Surgibot with large China distributor, these are things that make a buyout very attractive to another company.
either way, buyout or not, im in it for the win. Pope has consistently executed on plans with 100% outcome. got FDA approval, sold senhance units right after, turned surgibot into an immediate and angoing source of revenue. has kept good on all promises so far. whats not to love.
well.. then again.. you cant buy a cryptokitty for 1 million+ dollars. yes sadly that is where new investor money is going - jerking each other off breeding blockchain digital cats and selling them to each other for huge sums of money. what an effing joke!
hang tight - wait for crypto bubble to pop. get rich.
this is a great stock to own and will pay off- the only thing preventing us from going up is the mass hysteria with crypto and related stocks. Any and all trader / investor money is going to that area. it is so sad to see well known fraud and scam companies stock price triple in a matter of days simply because they became associated with bitcoin or blockchain in some way. i'm serious though, no one is looking at "regular" stocks right now.
i'm buying up good names cheap, like POTN, and waiting. BTW TRXC- unbelievable news today, *seriously good* and the stock barely moved!!! there are no buyers of regular stocks at present no matter how good of a deal they are. very sad but good news for patient investors. that bubble will pop.
IMO, nothing wrong except there are no buyers of stocks. all money is going to buying crypto currency and directly related stocks. look at all the zero revenue scam companies carrying insane high stock price multiples and sill going up (BITCF for example). just buy some shares here, hold and wait for that bubble to pop
excellent news and revenue. however stock will not go up without share buyers. and unfortunately everyone is throwing all of their money at crypto currency and the related stocks. i've never seen so many fraud companies with zero revenue carry such high share price multiples. more than even the last tech bubble.
be patient. buy, hold.
Big buys today by well known investors.
Einhorn / Greenlight Capital picked up several large blocks of shares.
Paul Tudor Jones Funds picked up 500k shares.
These folks don't buy on a whim. Combine this buying with the seemingly innocent S3 shelf reg on previously stated warrants, means something is up and coming.
not saying a big run is coming but i would not be sitting with an open short position. possible suicide.
SEC filing S3: http://ir.transenterix.com/secfiling.cfm?filingid=1193125-17-370859&cik=876378
Shelf registration. no SO or dilution. all good.
Falcon9 had a good liftoff today, hope we do too at some point.
appreciate the efforts. JMHO, as a forum mod myself, try not to listen to the individual noise. try to focus more on the collective opinion. for example if you make a change and a few folks don't like it, and have no sound basis for opinion, so what. if a good number of regular posters have same collective contrary opinion, or, there was good basis for the few contrary opinions, give it some consideration and make changes as needed.
the forum itself and community in the forum are the "value". you as a mod have ability to enhance it and maintain it based on the needs of the forum member community.
being a forum mod is always a thankless job. don't expect much if any pats on the back.
happy holidays- IMO you're miles better than quite a number of other board mods a this site.

POTN has a looooonnggg way to go. lets all be merry.
you are even more wrong. don't be a jerk. in this case, a dumb jerk.
Crooks building and running wildly successful public companies, or even becoming effective presidents, are not new concepts.
I'd rather have a knowledgeable crook effectively running the company vs a choir boy running things into the ground because he cant make the tough, and oftentimes questionable, calls.
JMHO.
