Mets I am going to have to correct you my friend....it is "a group of individuals and "I" bought up...."
Does that come with a blonde or brunette for that kinda jack?
Congratulations Hinch on your appointment. I look forward to your continued efforts on this board.
Thats why I still have my 2 million. Bah Bah. This is just what the demons at RB need ...lol
Back to back posts cant agree if the company officials read or dont read the posts. If I am Burg I read em for damn sure.
If you remember back when he first hung his nads out there and got really bold with his predictions for the first time, the volume did spike and the pps went up and when no news came out it dropped like a rock. Each time he has done this it has had less and less effect each time because we have all learned our lessons. Fool me once......
But you get my point. I was being a little to literal with the times and all, but even if more general, he would have to be more careful I can see you agree.
So I can clarify this with you. If Burg told Bigd that a pr was coming out tomorrow about loan news at 1pm, and Bigd told the entire board this was going to happen at 1 pm, do you think the company would still release that news at 1pm? I appreciate your partaking in this discussion and this is why I was serious in my post tonight that you would make an excellent Mod.
This is not a matter of who does or does not do their own dd. It is great that he has the ability and the knowledge and desire to do this type of work along with everyone who has a niche and can provide some insight from time to time. But to be in the position of moderator does lend some extra credence and following to his posts and for him to post items that he knows as a seemingly knowledgeable guy, that would prohibit the company from doing their job of keeping us informed is just plain carelessness. (Too long of a sentence I know. Science major...not English.)
Jo. Tell me that by posting what he heard would not influence and prohibit the company's ability to post pr's when they want to? If your answer is yes, then he did have an impact on this stock.
I dont have anything personal against Bigd. However...if you are to be a responsible moderator, then it is the responsibility of that person to remain on an even keel. Sure you can get excited like the rest of us but the extremes he has gone to has put doubt in a lot of minds whether it should or not. If he cannot control himself better, then so be it. Move on and be a participator but let the moderating to Jochef.
ot:heading to Orlando Wed. Anyone familiar with bass fishing around there. I know some fisherman out there on the board. PM me.
If you look real close on the video of Punxatony Phil, you can read his lips saying WOW.
That's it I have figured it out. Bigd and Punxatony Phil are one in the same. How did I miss this before?
I cant believe you would iggy Gretzky's wife. You wouldnt in real life I bet.
Let me guess.....next week wow!
I am 43. Big difference. We are much smarter, better looking and not like Making in the genital region.
You are obviously not in our age range.
Unfortunately with black shoes!
Sorry hockey I think newfly forget to say he was a basher.
Wait for it......wait for it......
I think he is focused on the gal across town on the 40th floor.
Maybe I should have said God in my last post for someone to respond to it....
This is from Feb 06. What was the certain collateral that xkem had to provide to get the royalties dropped when they accelerated the loan payments? Did Alembic at the time think it was a better deal to give up percentages on future exports just to get the payment sooner. Seems like a bad deal for them on the surface. Can someone enlighten me? TIA
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of both Xechem International and its Nigerian subsidiary, Dr. Ramesh C. Pandey, said’For quite some time, we have been looking for a way to restructure the Alembic indebtedness in a manner that would allow us reclaim the equity stake in our Nigerian subsidiary and the royalty stream that was part of the package of rights transferred to Alembic at the time of the original loan”.
Dr. Pandey further stated that, “ Alembic expressed a willingness to accommodate our desire as long as the repayment schedule was improved upon and certain collateral was posted. In the deal that was agreed to, Alembic got what it wanted, which was improved repayment terms and a measure of collateral, and we have again taken full control of our Nigerian subsidiary with the termination of broad rights and understandings that previously belonged to Alembic. I believe this truly was a win-win situation for both parties”.
Thats for 2 weeks right?

On joining the Xechem Nigeria team, Mr. Oniyide stated, "I am very excited about the opportunity to build on the extraordinary achievements already made by Xechem Nigeria under Dr. Ramesh Pandey's leadership over the last four years. I look forward to working with Dr. Pandey and the entire Xechem Nigeria team to achieve full-scale production of NICOSAN(TM), the company's breakthrough drug for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), as quickly as possible so that we can ensure that the patients suffering with the debilitating effects of this terrible disease can get the help and relief they so badly need." He further emphasized Xechem Nigeria's intention to strengthen existing relationships with private and governmental partners that have been so supportive of the company's efforts.
Bhuwan Pandey, Vice President Operations for Xechem International, who had served as acting General Manager of Xechem Nigeria in Abuja since its inception in 2002 and who shepherded the NICOSAN(TM) project to the current stage of development, said "I am truly honored to have played a part in bringing this revolutionary non-toxic Sickle Cell Disease drug to the market. I welcome Mr. Oniyide with open arms and officially turn over to him the day-to-day management of Xechem Nigeria on this auspicious day. I have no doubt that under his leadership and guidance, the company will continue to grow and prosper."
Dr. Ramesh Pandey, Chairman of Xechem International and Xechem Pharmaceutical Nigeria also welcomed Mr. Oniyide's ascension as Managing Director for Xechem Nigeria. According to Dr. Pandey, "I am sure that as our new Managing Director, Mr. Oniyide will help take Xechem Nigeria to greater heights and make all of Nigeria proud. I look forward to working closely with him on the historic work we are doing in Nigeria."
Reflecting on the achievements already made by Xechem Nigeria to date, Dr. Pandey stated, "We owe a large measure of gratitude to a great many people to have arrived at this stage. I would like to thank Bhuwan Pandey and his team for their contribution, dedication and tireless efforts in overcoming the many challenges and obstacles they have faced in bringing the NICOSAN(TM) drug to the Nigerian market."
"I am also very grateful to, and would like to acknowledge, some of the people and organizations that have been instrumental in Xechem Nigeria's development, starting with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, who officially launched NICOSAN(TM) on July 6, 2006 from the facility at the company's SHESTCO complex." Dr. Pandey continued, "Working together with the Honorable Minister of Science and Technology, Professor Turner Isoun and the Honorable Minister of Health, Professor Eyitayo Lambo, the dream of bringing NICOSAN(TM) to the SCD afflicted population has become a reality. Also deserving of our gratitude is Dr. Ayo Coker, Director General of SHESTCO. Without his full support and guidance, we would not be in production today. I also extend my thanks to Dr. Uford Inyang, Director General at the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), which first brought NICOSAN(TM) to the attention of Xechem following years of development and testing at NIPRD."
Dr. Pandey went on to say "our thanks must also go out to Professor Soji Adelaja and Stephen Burg, board members of both Xechem International and Xechem Nigeria, for their role in the company's success to date. There are many others, including Xechem Nigeria board members Lady Ekaette and Isaac Inyang, who have given selflessly of their time to help us achieve this success. Finally, the dedicated people who work at the facility must also be recognized for their individual efforts in helping to bring this drug to the people of Nigeria and the World."
About NICOSAN(TM)
NICOSAN(TM) is an anti-sickling drug originally developed as NIPRISAN by the Nigerian scientists at the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD). In clinical studies conducted under NIPRD's auspices, the drug has shown to substantially reduce the degree of sickling of the red blood cells of those afflicted with the disease. While not a cure, the clinical trials have confirmed that the large majority of patients taking NICOSAN(TM) no longer experience sickle cell "crises" while on the medication, and even among those whose crises are not eliminated, the number and severity of the crises are substantially reduced. Through quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA) Xechem has standardized and verified the antisickling activity of the product, which is now called as NICOSAN(TM).

Forward Looking Statements
I am honored.
Hey I have actually been marked by someone. I think it's Mets because he wants to know how the Cardinals are doing.
Please refer to them as stepchildren.
Did you fly out of the guard in St.Louis?
I hear they make mean chicken wings in Nigeria. Thats why they are going.
When reference is made to the equipment either have BEEN purchased or in fabrication, they are referring to the original equipment in the rented facility (since the article is old) or are they referring to the equipment that they will need. hard to tell. Thoughts anyone, Bueller?

Xechem: Significant Progress in the Development of Its Sickle Cell Disease Drug NICOSAN/ HEMOXIN
02/17/05 -- Xechem International Inc. (OTCBB: XKEM) today announced significant progress in its development efforts for NICOSAN(TM)/ HEMOXIN(TM), a natural product extract which shows promise in the treatment of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Xechem has an exclusive world-wide license for the development and sale of NICOSAN(TM)/ HEMOXIN(TM) from the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), Abuja, government of Nigeria, which holds the patent.
Through its subsidiary, Xechem Pharmaceuticals Nigeria Limited, Xechem recently signed a long-term lease for a production facility on approximately 9 acres of land at nominal cost within Nigeria's scientific complex on land owned by Sheda Science and Technology Complex, Abuja, a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Abuja, Nigeria. Xechem Nigeria is in the process of expanding this into a self-sufficient four-building complex for the commercial production of NICOSAN(TM) / HEMOXIN(TM). Much of the equipment necessary for the production has been purchased or is in the process of fabrication, with a scheduled launch of the project in the second half of 2005, for sale initially in the Nigerian market.
According to Dr. Ramesh C. Pandey, Chairman & CEO of Xechem, "We are working hard to bring NICOSAN(TM) / HEMOXIN(TM) to market initially in Nigeria and subsequently in the United States and other countries. There are approximately 4,000,000 people afflicted with Sickle Cell Disease in Nigeria alone, and development of this product is a major initiative of the Nigerian government, which has shown tremendous support for our efforts. The Nigerian market alone represents potential revenue in excess of $500,000,000 for the company. Xechem was prominently mentioned several times in the state of the union address by the Nigerian President late in 2004. There still remain additional hurdles in bringing this product to market including the need to raise additional funding for the full cost of buildout, equipping and start up of the facility. A number of initiatives are presently underway to address Xechem's financing needs. The company has developed small-scale formulations, which have shown efficacy in the treatment of the disease, and must further refine and standardize this formulation for consistent production scale quantities sharing uniform active ingredients. We are encouraged that we will find the resources to overcome remaining hurdles."
