Father daughter management is a bit sketchy. I just hope they can handle what’s on their plate.
I agree. The most important decision the company needs to make now is legal representation. A firm that knows how to assess damages and can negotiate a settlement with Intel.
Yes but incredibly disappointing given the hype over the weekend and the magnitude of what happened last week.
Welcome to hdvy.
Yes. Etrade or td ameritrade
I never thought we’d see red today so soon after the patent victory. I think one of the problems is that very large brokers allow sales but don’t allow purchase of the stock. That certainly tilts the scale in favor of selling.
HDVY needs to get current with filings to correct the imbalance. Unless of course Intel acquires the company before then.
Could be a big gap up this morning.
It's crazy that this took over 6 years to resolve. But our day has finally arrived.

LocWolf, out of curiosity I looked back to see what price I paid for my first shares. It was 41 cents in January 2004. If I recall at the time some analysts were projecting $2-4 price target at the time. Does HDVY management bother to get current with filings and uplisted to a major exchange? Will analysts pick up coverage again? Or does the commpany get acquired before any of that can happen? This will be interesting.
hi Avispa, I think it was somewhere around 100-150M shares at that time. Vermillion is a great example of a company that went from about 1 penny after BK and then shot up to about $20 almost instantly after FDA approval of their diagnostic test. HDVY was able to win a settlement based on the tech that Vermillion's predecessor had used to develop that test.
There could be a big domino effect based on this patent ruling. How many patents does Intel hold that depend on HDVY's patented SVM technology? Intel probably already has contingency plans in place in the event that they lost the patent dispute. They could put them into action this week. We'll see. We might also see other big tech companies with deep pockets try to acquire HDVY so that they can demand royalty payments from Intel.
It would be great if we can find examples of similar scenarios where a small penny stock company won a huge patent dispute vs. a multi-billion dollar industry leader. I wonder how many legal firms have already contacted HDVY trying to get their foot in the door to negotiate a settlement.
wow, thanks for posting that. This just keeps getting more and more amazing. Next week could be epic for HDVY shareholders.
speaking of NEO, shouldn't we have heard the outcome of the arbitration in December? Or perhaps that was pending the outcome of the patent dispute with Intel? If the arbitration goes HDVY's way that could be another big stream of revenue coming in this direction.
exactly. The shareholders watching every company steal their investment for 10+ years aren't going to sell out so easily.
Blast from the past. What would the Intel payment be?

That’s a great point LocWolf. What other products or tech does Intel have in the pipeline that also depend on this patent? I agree that Intel might very well acquire hdvy before this gets out of control. This could get complicated. Intel’s chips are everywhere. Billions of computers and tablets and smartphones. It’s mind boggling.
It just occurred to me. Will current hdvy officers really know how to handle this in shareholders best interests? Hopefully they get some honest expert assistance.
Abbott Quest NEO not to mention that investment company that tried to use the algorithms to predict stock prices. I think it was called Alpha something. Nothing ever paid off for shareholders. I remember when shares outstanding was under 100M.
Does anyone know actual shares outstanding including warrants, assuming they’re converted?
used to have or still do? hopefully you kept some to finally get rewarded after so much time.
for any patent or legal experts here, can Intel appeal the decision? Can they drag this out even longer than it's already been and just wait until HDVY is defunct?
wow, you have me beat. Just think of how many CEO's have come and gone in that time. My first purchase was Jan 2004.
We now need to find where/which companies have been leveraging the intel patent. Has it been licensed out? Has the tech been incorporated in products? All of this could be in scope for potential HDVY litigation.
yeah, that's the broker I used. Those shares between 1 and 2 cents are looking good today. However even in TD Ameritrade they aren't displaying any news for HDVY even though they put out 8k yesterday.
Also, some large brokers won't allow purchase of HDVY. For example, several months ago Fidelity wouldn't allow me to purchase HDVY shares because it didn't meet Fidelity's risk guidelines. I complained about it to no avail. I had to use another broker and based on the last couple days I'm glad that I did. I just checked and Fidelity still won't allow online purchase. You have speak with a representative to place the order. This could be squashing the action somewhat today.
Stonemoney, you were the first to break the news about the patent decision. If you don't mind, can you share how you were alerted to the update? many of us couldn't pull up the file let alone know that something had changed. thanks
hi LocWolf. It's quite amazing to see this back in double digit penny land after years and years at 2 cents or below. I still remember the days of HDVY at 40 cents plus.
$1 would be a game changer for many longs. Remember some have been buying shares for years.
it's bouncing around between 10 and 20 cents. They're probably taking out old limit sells that people forgot they even had setup.
stop sign litigation? I'm not familiar with that, does it mean going higher or it's just temporary and falls back?
Holy crap is this really 10 cents already?
Welcome schmago and thanks for sharing what caught your attention. I’m sure many people search for stocks using similar filters.
HDVY might find patent lawyers willing to work on contingency basis. Depending on how valuable this patent is to intel there is potential for a big one time payment, purchase of the patent, or perhaps recurring royalty payments. Intel might even decide to buy HDVY to get control of all the patents it owns. We know Intel needs this tech because they filed their own patent. They were just a little too late. There is huge potential. Intel’s chips are everywhere.
Which year
I think it’s separate. NEO is denying that they used hdvy technology to develop the drug and therefore don’t owe hdvy any royalties under the agreement.
The patent case was to determine if intel’s patent wasn’t valid since hdvy filed first. If intel has been generating revenue from that patent they might owe hdvy some type of payment. That’s probably something hdvy would have to either negotiate with intel or file a lawsuit for patent infringement.
I'm looking forward to see how the stock moves tomorrow. Do curious investors look into why the stock rose over 400% and decide to buy in, or does it settle back down and form a new base around 5 cents? It's funny to be watching the stock again after so much time of dead quiet.
I think the math is off in that Yahoo post unless he meant to say there are 500M shares. This could get interesting. Can HDVY outsmart the army of Intel lawyers?
thanks LocWolf.
I can't express how amazing that would be.
It probably depends on whether any companies, including Intel, are using technology covered under the patent. HDVY may have a good case to claim damages or royalties. Or perhaps Intel will decide to purchase the patent from HDVY. Let's hope there's someone still left at HDVY to turn this into a lucrative situation and all of us long suffering shareholders finally get some type of return.
For some reason I can’t pull up the file. In a nutshell, who won?
Follow what money? The stock has been stuck at nearly 0 for years despite repeated predictions of ‘any day now’.
Good advice. Strength is needed to watch your investment sit at nearly 0 year after year. Decade after decade.
