Shorts? CSTI, as it has been, is driving the pps down.
It could be both.
You're right about the buyers, some hedge funds have done tricks like that, according to Cramer.
The volume this morning is confirming that.
I don't think anyone knows that. It depends on the separate negotiations with each company. We only know that the first contract with Universal and EMI took one year to negotiate. Steve has held up against this mighty co until he's got his price.
We also now that there is a minimum of $4M payment.
http://www.dsny.com/node/1349
The minimum doesn't include the sales to Warner and Sony.
So we should get well over $4M in revenue this year. Clipstream is also going to be a significant contributor.
Yes, it was me. Thanks!
Yes, you're mistaken. Today we have an inverted hammer-VERY BULLISH!
Good job! Thank you, wudoc!
I've picked up another 1,800 shares for $1.08.
Good one!
BTW, thanks for watching the validity of deletion of the posts.
Another record week for MPE! Deliveries: 1,963,157
Yes, it was a surprise. Nice to get a great surprise!
I guess John has been working as a consultant.
Even the 22% profit margin is nothing to sneeze about. Most of the developing small tech companies are loosing thousands and millions.
CSTI is doing a great job today with 100 shares bid/ask boxing the stock and pushing the pps down.
With the any Fortune 2000 companies announcements they are going to loose their game.
One more nugget:
"Responsible for OEM and corporate sales of Clipstream product line to leading Fortune 2000.
Negotiated re-seller technology contracts with leading rich media video ad serving and email marketing companies in New York and California. Directly managed key accounts with Fidelity, Ogilvy, BET, and AOL."
I hope we're not going to wait too long for these PRs announcements.
(OEMs are manufacturers who resell another company's product under their own name and branding.)
I think you've heard it wrong. Their incremental margin this year is a 100%. Since it's just two months into the year the current margin is 22% (it's lowest it will be).
I've search Google and have noticed:
John Pillsbury
Business Development Director at Destiny Media Technologies
Education: Harvard Business School (Impressive!)
Villanova University
His Experience:
Senior Sales and Business Development executive experience. Managing new business generation, as well as team leadership for large software and licensing contracts. Special skills in strategic leadership level sales and marketing. Conducted sales and negotiation of hundreds of streaming and digital media licensing agreements. Built expertise in Internet sales, SEO, Google adwords, online sales and advertising, and CRM systems to manage sales pipelines. Established strong network with C-level executives, and customer relationships throughout the online advertising and rich media space.
I've asked Steve about him, since he's not listed on the roster.
Here is his reply:
"John has been working for us for thirteen years and is a good sales person."
"We've hired a sales consultant to help build our team and to recruit sales and marketing people."
Yes, I've been to more than one of those before I retired.
You get a little pamphlet with a short description of the co's. You mark for yourself which ones you would like to attend. You usually go from one to another for three days, get the info and do a research later on those who impressed you.
One interesting thing happened at the yesterday's presentation.
One of the attendees said that he likes what he hears, but it's already $3 pps.
Than he was surprised to hear from Steve the current price and the fact that we also have only about 50M shares.
Very good, you've nailed the main point!
Steve's presentation is playing continuously now. It's an audio presentation with the slides that you can switch back and forth.
"Google would be happy to partner with us." We are not competing with their new product, they (and similar players) can make a lot of $$ by partnering with us and we would share in their revenue. It's a win-win for everybody.
RE: MPE. We have finished the translation to 27 languages and are starting rolling out to 77 countries.
MPE's current margin is 22%, it's the worst it would ever be. Incremental margin is 100% (most co's would love to have 22% incremental margin!)
We have a monopoly in Australia and New Zealand now.
Steve has made a point that DSNY's valuation is very attractive now. We are just starting growing revenue and it will keep a robust growth for the next 3-5 years. (My understanding is that the robust growth will continue before it would level off for at least 3 years.)
The intensive marketing campaign to web developers is already bringing results.
He's going to open satellite sales offices to bring more revenue.
When there is too much euphoria, it's time to take some profit.
When there is doom and gloom, but fundamentals are keep improving, it's time to buy...
That's how Buffet made his fortune.
I will as well.
If not today, we'll have more time to accumulate at these way oversold prices.
We know that his plan has been (last CC) is to announce a key client and/or partnership announcement BEFORE NASDAQ uplisting.
I can wait and accumulate in the meantime.
IMO this play is taking longer, but it's a sure thing.
CSTI is constantly trying to push it down, but now it doesn't work. The buyers are back in.
All it would take now is one good PR to make it fly.
I've been accumulating here as well. Added at $1.10 this morning and will keep adding.
TRUE. They can hire a head hunter, but also list the position on their website.
From the last CC:
"Our sales strategy will be to bring in more senior level talent for direct high level sales, and to build remote sales offices, to do automated recurring sales through the website, and to sign up resellers and build partnerships with companies already in the space. We're exploring licensing our technology so that we can integrate into other company's software, and we may do some minor acquisitions as we grow."
Hopefully at the tomorrow's presentation we'll get new updates. I've checked some numbers that are available to us.
Here is what I see:
We have about 30% increase in the new Clipstream Survey clients. I think it was Z, who has counted the total of 50 last time. Today I've counted about 65.
Re: MPE. On the last CC the CEO has told us about the new initiative:
"...So one of our big initiatives right now is we have a new web-based encoder coming out. And so the concept is that any promotions person anywhere within the company can use our system to do a secure send. The legal department at the label's happy. They know it's the highest quality. We're much higher quality than MP3, even though the size is similar..."
It looks like this is already done. IMO this is the best Destiny's web site. Looks like they've finally got a great agency to design it. http://www.plaympe.com/en/
"New Play MPE® Player 5 Available Now!
Access our easy-to-use, redesigned Player software that allows industry professionals to securely gain access to authorized content.
Newly Redesigned Direct to Web enables you to download the file type of your choice and offers new features such as an online playlist, ability to flag releases, recent activity, and more!"
Most of us also have noticed that we have a number of new studios in the new locations and have doubled the weekly MPE Deliveries. It went up to almost 1.9M weekly.

Yes, Pennant is a bullish formation. It is usually a short in duration and follows a steep rise in pps.
DSNY's chart has formed the MOST BULLISH formation:
The Pennant
"The pennant forms what looks like a symmetrical triangle, where the support and resistance trendlines converge towards each other. The pennant pattern does not need to follow the same rules found in triangles, where they should test each support or resistance line several times. Also, the direction of the pennant is not as important as it is in the flag; however, the pennant is generally flat."
i.investopedia.com/inv/articles/site/Pennant.gif
Compare the above formation to DSNY's chart, posted on this forum by Mike, while he's been the moderator.
In addition there are other confirmations: MACD has crossed into a positive territory, RSI has flatten, CMF is well in the green, SAR has jumped below the chart and has been going up since February 24th.
Those who are selling today may shortly regret their decision.

The buyers are keep taking out their asks. At this point it's a loosing game for them, so they had to stop.
Thank you, Presclubs! Great review of Destiny's current status and looking out to the near future.

CEO's reply as of Jan 3rd:
"Our competition for Clipstream is:
Flash: doesn't play on mobile or TV's https://my.clipstream.com/flashstrat.php
H.264: only 62% and being phased out for H.265 which is 0%
Web M: 55%
The market is wide open and people are begging for a solution to the cross platform issue. Currently, the industry spends $5 billion converting and hosting and they don't have to spend that with Clipstream.
We have launched a cloud service which uses our base technology and Encoding.com, zencoder, etc. are in a way competitors to this service, but they are also potential customers. They use Flash, H.264, Web M, etc. and we can sell them our technology. These competing services have to convert and use content delivery networks.
We expect great things in 2014 and expect our shareholders will see increased value by the end of the year."
It's a square size ad in the right corner below the top banner across the page.

On Streaming Media forum Clipstream video ad is alternates with other ads, but it's the only one, which has a video. I like the idea that the play button has the logo symbol.

It is on the top right spot permanently. On this forum it doesn't alternate with other ads.
Clipstream video ad is posted on the prominent spot on Developer.com

Short and to the point, no babbling!
That is the reality of the possible split. Good for longs, terrible for shorties.
Very funny!
On a serious note, I personally don't mind at all, if the pps would stay low for a while longer. I'm hoping to keep loading at these low prices.
Looks like the insiders, who know the best, have a total faith in their CEO.
Thanks, Mike.
Right now we already have 4 moderators. So, I think it's enough.
We'll see how it goes.
I love your post, Z!
