SEC 10-Q filing today
http://www.marvell.com/investors/sec_filings.jsp
The good news I see in today's releases is that, perhaps, now with options behind them and reports up-to-date, etc., MRVL may no longer be so sheepish about tooting their horn (admittedly they had their chance in the CC and didn't do so well).
So I will restate... The good news, I Hope, is that they will be announcing more PR releases over the next few weeks.
no, similar to bluetooth, there would be a MAC ID to distinguish between them
just as I thought too
from #9843 (in response to your earlier iPod msg)
"... then give this device (and others) VOIP and 1) you definitely do not need ATT & 2) you have another 'phone' market for MRVL"
I'm not qualified to target the cell phone component pricing.
...and access has a ways to go yet; WiFi hot spots are not saturating the globe yet, but growing. Tax rich cities and US campuses may lead us to this reality.
... then give this device (and others) VOIP and 1) you definitely do not need ATT & 2) you have another 'phone' market for MRVL
In High School 60-64 we had a miracle device you could carry in your pocket (a big pocket), the transistor radio, which could play all my favorite songs, wirelessly, for free. We would never have conceived paying for the privilege. And now I am banking on the fact the public is scrambling to pay for the privilege. Don't get me started on $1+ water bottles....
Analysts Recommend Buying Marvell On Weakness

lighten up a little
just how much did you have to pay S2 to moderate this board which has been a decent place to exchange ideas?
...[hard drives] used to be the major revenue source. Perhaps the future holds a different result.
...or you become a day trader (assuming you accidentally saved some cash).
following the spirit of guidelines, not rules...
I would say this still fits the profile, but note the h-man description classifies the reliability as moderate.
It's all the other indicators that S2 has provided that help support the prediction.
The true hanging man require little or no shadow at the top.
So it would need to close at the high of the day, without rocketing north and opening the range too much.

we've had a nice increase in qty of Aug 22.50 calls last 60-90 minutes.
any thoughts: significant or not?
that link still not working as pasted into your post.
'mouseover' the link yourself and check the bar at the bottom of the window; you will see that the link is not complete, ie., it actually ends with ...
I have to ask... the 45 degree pullback chart is still displayed. Does that imply you believe there is still exposure to a retracement before MRVL has firmly built a base for take-off?
To me the chart may still be displayed to show that we have clearly broken that possible retracement trendline.
I guess I don't see the retracement happening anymore, but if someone else does...?
Amended Filing July 13

I think it is nothing new, but someone please read it all. My eyes are too bluured from the monitor today.
It is a page from last year; if you follow the "Stock Split News" link near the top, it takes you to a page of all 2006 dated news.
out-fn-standing
Everyone is all 'posted' out!
'iHub' seems okay to me; just quiet.
the marvell chip is the wifi;
the processor is still a mystery;
someone (a mfgr will have to announce what the "apple stamped processor" source is.
"Apple stamped Processor chip"
WTF does that mean?
http://thinksecret.com/archives/iphonetakeapart/source/iphone36.html
okay, so the moon was possible decades ago;
my son took apart the vcr at 6
but no one can post an inside photo of chips with logos?

New filing date! not scheduled for at least 5 days after the current late scheduled filing date!!!
Arghh, If they need some help I'll give them my copy of Quick Books.
http://www.marvell.com/investors/sec_filings.jsp
I don't really invest; just bought one share when I heard about the BBQ.
Thanks, looking forward to it.
I suggest the report(s) will be filed the night of the day that the info is reported/leaked from the teardown of the iPhone. Perhaps 6/27
I love that kind of behavior.
It's reminscent of somebody with a backbone, ie., best defense is a good offense. While just a rumor, I could buy into it.
There are way too many places to start.
I am not saying that you start with studying candlestick patterns, but to read about candlestick patterns and begin to understand terminology, I have found the following site to be simple and straightforward. The best method to use (I think) is stay up later than others in your household, select a term you are unsure of, enter that word or phrase in google and start a new folder of links. Always get several sources for one topic and compare what they have to say. Good luck

... and here is another link I have used. While not everything here is free, quite a few tutorials and manuals are.

"Huge iPhone demand in sight" - from Seeking Alpha
(although I'm happy with my low-tech cell phone)
but for what it's worth...
"He [Eric Savitz] also sees upside for the iPhone, and suggests that his already startling numbers could be too low. Seyrafi expects 17 million units in fiscal 2008 and 25 million in fiscal 2009 - remember that Apple CEO Steve Jobs had predicted getting to 1% global market share, or about 10 million phones, in the first year.

I do appreciate your thoughts and efforts on this forum. Thanks, I learn a lot on this forum.
I didn't intend to come across as negative. In fact I was attempting to counter another's never ending negatives about the circumstances. If the other reader wants to bash the stock they should at least get the calculation correct ($.51 charge not $.71).
I firmly believe the option charge won't matter except in the sense that it will relieve the stock to perform as it should.
The earnings are being restated in prior years will only make this year and next look even better.
Not that it will matter, but Shares Outstanding 585.20M (Yahoo Key Statistics) with costs of 300M results in $.51/share.
don't kick yourself; some of my MRVL position was definitely only smart in the long run; can you say dollar-cost-avging?
Anyone...? What are the policies, guidelines, rules, etc. about publishing qtrly results during an SEC investigation?
bearish harami cross?
Yesterday's stats with today's looks, unfortunately, a lot like a 'bearish harami cross'.
Hopefully this candlestick sign does not hold true when action is distorted by options expiration. Monday weakness or strength will confirm or deny this sign. True?
Of course, this would be meaningless if "the committee" would just finish their review and publish anything.
Embedded Systems Conference Apr 1-5
I have checked MRVL's site to see if anything new$worthy came from this event, but nothing there.
http://www.marvell.com/press/events.jsp
Hopefully someone will write something positive on or before Monday that will help keep the momentum in the right direction!
Actually, when reading exact words of today's filing, he does not provide any date. In fact, the filing states that the info will NOT be available within the 15 days of the due date.
Unless I missed something, it never says when it will be available.
This is shot in the dark...
I use Tax Act and TD Ameritrade.
I was able to download trades from TD Ameritrade in a spreadsheet format (other choices were also available, for example, CSV (comma separate value) which were easily loaded into Tax Act.
I have to believe that Tax Cut, etc. will have similar features.
I would take whatever your broker offers as a download option and I will bet that all big name tax programs can deal with it.
Good luck.
