no wweeaazz this was the October 3, 2007 PR, here is the whole thing:
Deep Down Announces Over $30 Million in Flotation Orders
HOUSTON, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Deep Down, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DPDW) announced today that it has secured over $22 million in drilling riser flotation contracts for Matrix Asia Pacific Pty Ltd of Perth, Australia, and expects to close over $8 million in additional contracts within the next couple of weeks.
Deep Down has an exclusive agreement with Matrix to introduce their complete product line to the U.S. Market. These contracts establish Matrix as one of the world's premier suppliers of syntactic foam drilling riser flotation modules. These modules are used to provide buoyancy and reduce the weight of the riser string, thus allowing drilling in deeper depths with less tension.
Matrix is providing their proprietary syntactic foam formulation coupled with a practical, damage resistant module design. Deep Down is working closely with Matrix to optimize the mix of products and services that can be jointly offered to the marketplace. Deep Down is currently acting as an agent and expects to earn over $600,000 in commissions, after expenses, on these orders.
'Although Deep Down will not record the revenue on its financial statements, it is important to note that the $600,000 in commissions is essentially unencumbered by expense and falls to the bottom line as pretax profit. We expect these fees to be collected in various installments over the next 18 months,' commented Eugene L. Butler, Deep Down's chief financial officer.
In addition to drilling riser flotation, Matrix offers buoyancy for ROVs, subsea deployment, distributed buoyancy modules and other subsea applications. Matrix also offers a complete range of molded polyurethane products including, bend restrictors, bend stiffeners, VIV suppression strakes, clamping systems, and cable and flowline protection.

hey aj's 650 shares have more spirit.... and that trumps all, hehe
the level II has been interesting to watch the last couple of days, really shows what is going on here.
nice add aj, those will come in handy.
1.32 by 1.38
thank you brikk we all appreciate your efforts. Stocks being resticted by certain brokers is a thing that happens all the time, for any number of reasons, not to be alarmed we all know what we own.
someone wants to manipulate this to pick up some nice shares but they are not getting it, the movement on the level II today has been impressive.
that is very true, the level II opens up a whole new portal of information and we all know that information is key in this. they wont be getting mine either.
your welcome laurap, wow alot of movement on the bid and ask today, i feel something brewing.
very nice lets not forget one other important aspect, we are ISO:9001 certified.
the fact that we are acquiring companies like EWave which are tied to providing equipment to the military, and now we are ISO 9001 certified, which as per the PR "Many organizations require suppliers to have ISO 9001 registration, and Deep Down's new certification now allows it to participate in projects requiring ISO certified manufacturers, including government contracts.
let's not forget our newest addition to the Deep Down Inc. Team - Lieutenant Commander Gregory Boucher. recently retired from the United States Navy, will join ElectroWave USA, Inc. (subsidiary) as marine systems manager on October 16, 2007. His primary focus will be on servicing the growing number of commercial and government clientele including energy related companies, major shipyards, the U.S. Navy, and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Lieutenant Commander Boucher has served in numerous positions of responsibility including deck department, combat systems, and operations over his 23-years of Naval Service.
all little about the ISO certification:
Some of the requirements in ISO 9001 (which is one of the standards in the ISO 9000 family) would include:
a set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business;
monitoring processes to ensure they are effective;
keeping adequate records;
checking output for defects, with appropriate corrective action where necessary;
regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness; and
facilitating continual improvement
ISO 9001:2000 Quality management systems - Requirements is intended for use in any organization which designs, develops, manufactures, installs and/or services any product or provides any form of service. It provides a number of requirements which an organization needs to fulfill if it is to achieve customer satisfaction through consistent products and services which meet customer expectations.
this looks like it could be very valuable to deep sea drilling operations in many ways:
here is the SeaEye in action (Mako Technologies is the exclusive distrbutor of SeaEye Products in the Gulf of Mexico)

absolutely I review the fundamentals that we have upcoming and the ones that we have seen all the time, as well as searching for updates.
so let us talk about our most recent acquisition target.
well first let me post some information directly from the Louisiana Secretary of State - Commercial Division. This information is directly from the Corporations Database and I have also provided the relevant link:

from this information taken from the state records we can see that Mako Technologies is an active Business Corporation in good standing. It details there previous name from 7/19/2001 and also mentions the last time they filed 1/29/2007.
so far so good
Digging deeper to check for any revocations, comes up with the all clear as well. They have never had any problems with this.
This is a telling fact since, The Secretary of State is authorized to revoke Louisiana corporations when they fail to file annual reports for three consecutive years; foreign corporations when they fail to file one annual report. Revocations take place quarterly.
The current lists of the corporations that qualify for revocation in LA is here:
http://www.sos.louisiana.gov/Portals/0/commercial/Revocations.txt
now let us move on to some of the more important facets of Mako Technologies.
First we have Distributorship deal they have with SEAEYE. This provides Mako Technologies with the official agreement to be the distributor of its ROVs in the Gulf of Mexico.
Mako engineers are being trained to repair, maintain and operate Seaeye vehicles, adding to Seaeye's position as world leader in the number of skilled ROV pilots available to operate its systems.
For those who are unaware of what an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) is an underwater “robot” that is used for many different underwater applications. - Underwater exploration & documentation, recoveries, inspections, search and rescue, trenching, cable burial and much more.
-ROVs can solve some of the major maritime security issues today.
Seaport / Port Security and Surveillance : Ship Inspections : Pipeline Inspections : Oil Rig Surveillance and Inspections : Docking Perimeter Inspections and Detections : Barge Inspections : Docked Cruise Ship Inspections : Tanker Security and Inspections
here is a link to give you a brief understanding of this technology initially only used in military operations.
https://www.rovexchange.com/mc_rov_overview.php
As you can see here, right from SEAEYE's website(scroll down to the U.S. flags) that Mako Technologies is the only official distributor in the Gulf of Mexico
http://www.seaeye.com/distributors.html
Here is a link to a very interesting article detailing the work of Mako Technologies (as SEAEYE distributor)providing ROV's for hurricane damage in the Gulf of Mexico.
ROVs For Hurricane Hit GOM
Hurricane damage and an increased demand for more capable inspection ROVs led to an order for Seaeye for three systems to be rushed to the Gulf of Mexico.
Two Seaeye Falcons and a Seaeye Lynx ROV will add to the rental pool of Mako Technologies of Morgan City, La.; a provider of rental diving, topside, ROV and ROV tooling equipment and services.
Both Falcons will be delivered in November and each will feature Imagenex scanning sonar, CP probes and a single function manipulator as well as a comprehensive outfit of spares. This system is rated for operations to 1,000 ft (300 m).
The Seaeye Lynx will be delivered mid January 2006 complete with TMS, control cabin and ‘A’ frame launch and recovery system. Designed for operations to 5,000 ft (1,500 m) the vehicle will be provided with a four-function hydraulic manipulator, Tritech sonar, and interfaces for a wide range of sensors and NDT inspection tools to suit various customer requirements. Video from the vehicle to the surface is transmitted over fiber optics and the system can accommodate up to four simultaneous video channels.
This will be the 15th Lynx to be built by Seaeye and joins two other Lynx systems (16 and 17) in production for delivery to Norway and Mexico in December and January.
http://www.seadiscovery.com/mt/mtStories.aspx?ShowStrory=1001682091
Mako Technologies also has a tooling alliance set up with Perry Slingsby Systems. Mako will become the exclusive ROV Tooling rental outlet for Perry Slingsby Systems in the Gulf of Mexico and will stock a complete line of spares and also maintain a fully trained support staff.
Here is an amazing article relating to offshore oil rigs damage assessment, search for Mako technologies if you don't want to read the whole thing.

here is an interesting picture of SEAEYE LARS in action (please remember Mako Technologies is the ONLY SEAEYE distributor in the Gulf of Mexico)
block trades coming in now.this could get interesting.
welcome back mystic krewe, glad to see you enjoyed your holiday and good to see you back.enjoy the rest of the week.
this industry is not yet taken shape yet, we have some much to anticipate and so much growth left in this sector.
certainly was, and for no apparent reason, just the follow the herd mentality.
hey i was next in line.... :)
agreed chevdawg, those weak hands have sold and we are now setting up for the next move higher.
those 500 shares accumulation blocks just keep on rolling through, this is very tightly held, moves very quickly.
hello everyone and good to see you all here again, this is going to be a very interesting couple of weeks ahead, we have so much to look forward to.
i wish i knew of five more myself, but for now Deep Down Inc. is quality over all in the OTCBB.
hey phrao, i think your right, i think that all things considered the stock has weathered the storm in the market pretty well, and as you said many who announced good quarters really got hammered and are at this point extremely oversold.
but this poses a great situation for those that buy the silence or buy the panic. the companies will continue to perform and the market will soon wake up and adjust the pps to its fair market value.
the market makers took advantage of the low volume and short holiday trading week, to free up some more shares, normal during this week.now its time for onward and upward.
hahhaha that is a great one brikk, and o so very true. management is doing great things and this was an early Christmas gift to be able to load some more shares.
We have much to look forward too and management will show us their plan, as it unfolds (and has been unfolding) right in front of our eyes.
good to be back brikk.
hello all, i hope that all your thanksgiving celebrations went well and that you ate to your heart content.
tomorrow will be the beginning of a fresh new week with the bulls coming back to town, and who knows maybe even a little push from the PR department.
we have so many great things to look forward to from this company, and in a sector that will only become more and more valuable.
interesting week ahead.
right so lets just ignore the 11.85% up for the week (holiday week at that), patience my friend, rome wasnt built in a day.
Dahlman and Rose does know how to pick them, i dont know which one i like the best, i really like this one :) we have some good company on that list.
that is great news and certainly shows the confidence they have that management is doing something great, remember they provide unsolicited information, with no form of compensation from Deep Down Inc.
sure does, and that is a great chart aj (as usual)
wow these "walls" are paper thin, doesnt take much to take them out.
great add fishincanuck
we have so many catalysts coming:
mako deal
matrix update
proteus orders
innovative technology
the Lieutenant's contribution to the Electrowave division of Deep Down
JOIDES report
things we dont even know are going on behind the scenes
can you picture what the next stretch of this fundamentals chart will look like:
