After last week, I almost decided not to pick any games tomorrow. Then I figured that it couldn't be any worse as long as I stay away from picking my own team.
My picks...
Rutgers to cover 3.5 at home
Wisconsin taking the 3 and beating Illinois
Kansas State to cover 3.5 at home
True, last time was a slow bleed...wonder what the true O/S was back then...
Is it just me or is the chart eerily similar to the end of Oct 2006?
Better yet, don't answer that "is it just me" part...
Chilar you cut that out otherwise my limit sell order that is good for today at $10 per share will NEVER get filled!
Thanks as well but the boss lady beat you to it.
Thanks. I'll call that a paint job based on the pps.
Can you list the last four or five. Where I'm at, I don't have access. I see the 1M at .005 and then nothing...
Slim volume on SPZI concerning me and yet the price continues to hold...thoughts anyone?
HOD close on CTUM.
Anyone have the last few trades that went off right at closing? Did they paint it up to .0055?
I think it's broken. For some reason it thinks PBLS is a risky stock.
lol. That actually got me smiling and it's been a long day.
Wonder if guys that do this as a hobby can make it long-term? Guess we'll find out.
Agree. I'll be in shortly. I like it when a stock trades sideways like this near a bottom and no news. Made my few successful trades at that point (ie SPZI thanks to a call by Mthead).
Conflicting stories...ie new partners are in, new partners are out.
1) Lining up for a decent bottom/bounce play for a quick flip.
2) Very, very long odds but potential big return if you want to take the lottery ticket approach. As in buy it and check it in a year or two.
Actually, aside from common sense, I didn't have a clue about pennies before PBLS. At least this soap opera has been good training for doing real DD and exercising a solid trading strategy.
I'm funny and good looking. And humble. and surprisingly more positive than I was yesterday on all this. I guess I've written it all off as loss now and so it helps me deal with the current situation.
Either way this turns out, this will be the last time I play a penny stock the way I have played this one. It's been a good college education though...even if I fail this test, I'm going to pass the class.
- PBLS Lessons learned - be confident that you are buying at/or near the bottom, don't trade on emotion, sell into the runs and don't worry about the tax implications until it's a real problem b/c you are making too much, keep some "free" shares for the home run if you want to, but get your money off the table sooner than later, then take your profits as you get them and NEVER believe the story.
Aggravating but not necessarily illegal I don't believe...

"Finally, with all said and all major acquisitions completed, Phoenix will increase its activities to become fully reporting. Phoenix expects that when it files that Form-10 the total issued and outstanding shares of its common stock will not exceed 815 million shares of which approximately 40% will be restricted."
Clever use of verbage in a forward-looking statement that really promises nothing concrete at all.
Also, nothing in the preferred conversion PR's that say they plan on retiring the common shares.
So hopes of seeing the O/S at 800M when you call tomorrow are slim to none huh?
There's been lots of folks selling large holdings. Most of the folks I know that were going to sell, have sold. I'd rather take the complete tax loss at the current level than sell to preserve the bit I have left. I need to preserve capital but I also need the tax write-off...so I sit tight for now. Do have a couple GTC orders in though...
One thing confuses me. Seemingly trustworthy long-term posters (level headed folks that never came off as manipulators anyway) are calling the company and reporting conflicting stories. Either the posters are lying or the company is lying. Wonder if this is an organized take down by some folks on the Bayou?
I continue to sit in a state of confusion over the recent few days.
Rally...if by some chance the company actually did start buying on the open market, would it immediately be represented with the TA numbers or would the shares have to be retired to treasury first?
Call it wishful thinking if you will...
Haircut! Shoot, that's just a trim comparably...
Liking the recent move on CTUM...
Where are our priorities?
For the most part...the numbing of our minds with chemicals, material possessions or sports related activities so we don't think about how shallow our relationships with others are, how much we pay in taxes and how broke our country is...
Okay, thanks.
I thought the brother was Karl and the father was Don...don't know, I've just spoken with John once or twice. Doesn't matter though because I can't connect the two online with the bank...
Ren
Don't forget that those guys getting a free ride for sports...
1) Sell lots of school memorabilia 2) Put tens of thousands of butts in seats at games at $20+ a pop 3) Allow the school to earn money via TV and radio advertising, concessions, parking, programs 4) Allow the school to earn money via bowl games etc etc.
I'm not going to stand by the system as it is, but IMO, college athletes get paid very little for the amount of revenue they bring into their perspective schools. There's probably 50k+ Timmy Tebow jerseys out there now that were sold at $50 a piece as an example...bet his "full ride" is $30k a year...
Looks like you are getting closer...3's eminent.
"I would make higher education free to anyone that earns the right to it."
That's about the only thing I like the government to subsidize. Part of it has to do with the fact that I am staring down a $30k bill for a Master's program right now...
Do you know papa's name? I can't remember...
Yes ma'am.
They've got a young buck who is an all star who is supposed to be working with them on it. Otherwise, I agree. I'm a high risk guy but would never consider getting into FOREX.
OT - Nope. My reads DEADSEXY.
(just kidding but should next time they make me buy a new plate...)
Hope they are laying off the FOREX until cash flows improve...
Nope. Most of the cities I frequent aren't big enough to have a 20th ave, much less a 67th...
If he was good looking though with a shredded hard body that all the girls were chasing, I can see why you might have thought it was me.
Sorry but that's not his last name. Besides Shiz is a decent guy from the N.E. and the Haydens are from Arizona by way of FL to my knowledge.
Don't know. Who is Ray Hayden?
That looks about right. I know that they wanted to use the bank for FOREX trading and this bank fits the bill.
IMO college is about learning to jump through hoops in a timely manner. Like it or not, success in life is often based on our ability to do so in work, relationships etc. Most people in business fail for lack of discipline, not necessarily lack of intelligence.
