HOD!!!
Huge blocks at .65 bought and the ask gets dropped to .6499. MM's are controlling how fast GGP will go up, slow and steady. Could be they know any quick sustained buying pressure starts a mad cover that would kill the shorts, like that ISE bastard!!! Slow and steady works for me. Stronger base. .66 and .71 are next points we need to bust through. Could happen by the end of day.
Nice to have company in the gallows. LOL
I'll probably be the jinx today, now that I posted about a possible green day, LOL.
Different trading day today. Usually (the last few weeks)HOD is in the first fifteen minutes and then the price is walked down most of the day. Today, after a half hour, there are big blocks of buys that just pushed us over the opening price after a small early sell off. That's a decent indicator of a bullish day. With news that a BK mall in NO won't tumble the entire company into BK and the new govt. plan announced yesterday regarding toxic assets, we should go up some in the short term anyway. IMO of course.
Another new HOD!!! Lots of big buys!!!
Why would that be??? Not doubting you. Just curious your reasoning.
LOL!!!!!
HOD!!! She's tying to run!!!
So what happens when we break the HOD??? Do shorts plunge it back down to low .50's or do we run into the .70's??? Wish I knew. 2:1 buy to sell ratio. Almost every ? sale was a buy over the ask. Lets keep movin' up. Slow and steady is just fine by me. More strength that way!!!
I couldn't have said it better myself. My 2 year old, honest to God, is more mature than most all of those people that have been posting. It is like a train wreck though; I can't stop watching and reading them. And I am dummer fer it.
Now you're talkin!!!
I doubt we hear anything this w/e. Deadline is tonight. That doesn't mean there will be an announcement right away. Expect to be holding your breath during Mondays trading session. Just a guess. :)
THERE is the BS. 237,900 shares dumped at .44. What a crock, er, crook, ummm ... .
Today, berry is the jinx, LOL.
Still want to know how that is legal. 2 dyas in a row. From .57 to .50 and now .4799 to .44.
I don't like being messed with when it comes to my money. May a 1000 scorpions sting their nads for ever and ever amen!!!
GUARANTEED!!!
Nope. Nothing we can do but hope and pray (to Jesus)for the best.
Tension (or worry) accomplishes many things... wrinkles, stress, heart attacks... LOL. I'm trying to play it cool, but collecting unemployment checks right now makes me want/need this to shoot the moon a little more than it did just a few weeks ago. GLTA
(KWAIT MENTIONED PRAYING TO ALLAH A FEW POSTS AGO, SO I AM MENTIONING WHO I PRAY TO AND THROUGH. I KNOW WE AREN"T HERE TO TALK RELIGION. JUST BALANCING THE SCALES SO TO SPEAK.)
So let me see if I have this straight. It will either go up, down or stay the same. Ok, thanks for clearing that up, LOL!!!
It could be that because a couple malls are possibly being seized from GGP in a BK filing. NOT THE BK FILING. These are unprofitable POS's. Just like last week when Ackattack mentioned BK, someone dumped over a million shares. Overreaction to not having all the facts. MM's I'm sure enjoyed grabbing all those cheap shares. I doubt we close over .50 today though. People are such idiots!!! Funny how all these sold shares showed up just a couple minutes after buys caught up and passed sales on the day. Buys were behind by 400,000 shares until the last hour before the collapse to .40. Looks like the price is going to climb and BOOM, it gets knocked down. I hate to talk conspiracy, but it sure seems like someone wants this to stay down (shorting anyone???)
Wow. That was quite a shake. Taking out stop orders???
NO! We are waiting on word about the ROUSE bonds extensions which require 90% approval from the holders of said bonds. The agreement expires tonight at 5PM. You posted old news that doesn't have anything to do with the Rouse bonds, but thanks for playing, LOL.
There shouldn't be any until after hours. More likely next week. The deadline (ha ha), if it isn't extended AGAIN, is 5PM today. Markets will be closed. Place your bets. Red or black? It sure isn't going to be static for long.
Might as well start the w/e early. She isn't going anywhere near where we want today. So sad.
Is the yahoo board reading this board? I see they are now talking possible buyout too. Idiots predicting 7-10 dollars a share on possible buyout. You knew it was going to happen. Thay can buy me out at $7 a share. :)
Like I said, I don't know anything much about this stuff. How a corporate takeover or buyout works. Probably many different ways to skin a cat so to speak, LOL. A share swap with the few million shares they announced today they would create would seem to make sense. I have no idea what the value of GGP shares would be. Would that make them worth (I'm sure I am dreaming here) the $35 that SGP is worth? I would assume SPG's stock price would have to be adjusted or free fall from all the debt of GGP if there was a stock swap. It's fun to speculate, but I really have no clue what will happen. I'll just keep hoping for the best and dream big. :)
General Growth Properties Inc. shook up its executive ranks.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123749948584589033.html?mod=yahoo_hs&ru=yahoo
In my last message I said it was board members. I will correct that. It is "executive ranks". I'm too lazy right now to check their list of board members and cross check it with those listed in the press release that were fired and/or reassigned.
True, true. Sink or swim, I'm in to see what happens. I see GGP shook up their hierarchy and fired a bunch of people. I also see that Simon Property Group announced concurrent offerings of common stock and senior notes and to use the net proceeds to partially repay the outstanding balance of its $3.5 billion unsecured credit facility and for GENERAL CORPORATE PURPOSES.
Totally not knowing anything about anything, BUT, speculating, could GGP have, in principle, have agreed to a buyout by the Simon Group because they can't get 90% of the Rouse bond holders to agree to postpone payment of said securities? With no guarantee of any TALF money and unsure if they will get any corporate real estate bailout money from the feds, which is moot if delaying Rouse bonds fails tomorrow, it's BK or Buyout. Why not take the money and run. Avoid the headaches of all their debt, their illiquid status and a credit industry that won't move and commercial real estate market that is dead.
Simon Property has a very good liquid status that will be helped by their announcement today regarding stock and senior notes (not due until 2019 by the way). See the following blurb. There is more info out there. This is just one quick short read for a source:
http://www.reits.com/general-growth-vs-simon-property-group/
So am I crazy. Am I seeing something that isn't there, or might I be on to something. If I am, People will spout off numbers like "we'll see $10 a share now". I'd say Simon gets a discount price at maybe $3-$5. Let the bashing begin on my idea.
Thanks. I dub thee JINX!!!!!!!!!!!
Evidently, with the HUGE selloff at the end of day, this is a sinking ship. Once again, I can't pick sh#t for stocks. Good thing I lost my job 3 weeks ago. Hate to think I'd have any more money to burn in the stock market so my family can starve. I know life is unfair, but seriously, enough is ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!
Someone please explain to me how over 400,000 shares go at .50 33 seconds into after hours when we haven't seen a bid that low in days. Seriously, please explain.
LOL!!!
Well, I see we were selling at a 2:1 ratio after being near even the first 30 minutes or so. Now we are almost back to even on the day (buy to sell ratio).
The sell orders seem fishy to me. I'd watch big blocks of buys, 10,000, 15,000 and there would be 20-30 buys on a smaller scale mixed in there. Then, boom, a 9,500 sell, with no other sells mixed in. Then maybe a couple 100 or 300 sells. I don't know much about short selling, but could the MM's be putting in fake sell orders to keep the price down? I'd say 200,000-300,00 sell orders at least seem to be in this fishy area.
Great, another 90,000 dump. I don't get it. If people know what the @#$@$% they are doing, why wouldn't you have dumped your shares a couple days ago if you didn't have confidence the rouse bond issue would be taken care of. Either you hold or buy on the hope it gets resolved with a postponement, or you sell because you think it unlikely they can get 90% approval to postpone what is due. Why wait a couple days? The stock isn't tanking in that time frame. There is no panic. It's a wait and see deal, right??? Everything else in the market has made ridiculous gains the last week and a half, so it's doubtful you are selling to buy in on a bull run that can't possibly continue at this rate. You'd be buying in on the high side with a huge downside in the short run. So why dump that much now??? Just hold until Monday and we'll have another postponement and we can continue having fun spinning our wheels!!!
Looked at C at .99 I passed now 3.80
Sold Hayz at .05x was going to buy in at .03 if it fell that far. waited too long
waited for FAS to drop to 2.20 It came down to about 2.40 just missed
bought fitb at 1.60 sold 1.86 was going to buy in if it came down into 1.70 range it didn't. now it is at 2.50 this morning
Bought FRP instead of PQ. Held it a lot longer than I should, but was going to bee rewarded for my patience. FRP droped 38% by the time I sold. PQ went from .91 where I almost bought it to 2.50 or so in less than a week.
Had a buy order in for .60 in GGP. Went to drop it to .58 or .55. While I was deciding for all of 30 seconds, my buy went through before I could change it. A few minutes later it drops to .51. Wow, what a streak I am having.
SO GLAD I freakin' BOUGHT GGP at .60!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Serenity now, serenity now, serenity NOW!!!!!!!!!!
So we are trading even today between buyers and sellers, but one dump of 69,000 shares at .57, while the ask is at .5701 pushes us down to .54??? Get real!!!
I know it isn't much, but did they have to paint it down at the close. NOTHING but .60 buys the last 5 minutes. A few .61 sales just seconds before close and they push through some .59xx BS.
Again, I know it isn't that bid of a deal. I'm just watching HAYZ and C and others I was in or seriously considering in the last week shoot to the moon while I am stuck YET again. I'm afraid tomorrow will be just more of the same BS. 2nd day in a row buys are way ahead of sells by a decent margin (3:2 today)and yet we can't even go up 1 red freakin' cent.
I see a 232,000 buy at .62 came across at eight minutes past the bell. Another short getting off easy??? And another 24,000 15minutes into AH.
Edit #3: Now ameritrade shows the close at .62. Sometimes it pays wo whine??? LOL. Now I want my $2 a share, right Crapsman!!! Or $5 or... :)
cdnkid10. Keep posting the rocket comment every hour. It seems to be moving us in the right direction (up), LOL.
Amazing. Little buys at bid, but 35,000 and 59,000 block buys at the ask go through and 20 seconds later, with little buys (100, 1100, etc) and the ask gets LOWERED.
edit Thank you cdnkid.
Where do you find that info??? Not doubting you, just always willing to learn more and more. TIA
My L2 showed NSDQ. Hmmm
How can you tell??? I don't see them anywhere on my level 2. Is that what that means??? TIA
114,000 buy at the ask and no movement. Huh???
***edit*** 3 minutes later we are .59 x .60
SURGE UP BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think we will start to see a gradual rise into the end of day as we have finally upticked to .58 after a couple hour standstill. Expect a couple bumps as usual the last couple hours. Bulls are showing slightly more pull than the bears. Of course one big selloff could change all that. Of course one big buy could..., on and on we could go with the speculating.
Seems like this is where we should be trading. Longs are tired of extensions and no progress toward liquidity. Bears and bulls are close to even strength as no one knows what to think. No one is sure what to think of for Friday and the Rouse bond questions. The high over the last couple months is about .73. The low is around .32. With so much uncertainty and delays, one would expect us to be in the middle. The real average highs and lows are about .66 and .38. Average those numbers and you get, yep, .57. That seems to be reflected in our sideways trading today.
With all the BK speculation and bondholders not coming to agreement, all the uncertainty, we are holding well here in the upper .50's. If people would do their DD, they would see that the net assets of GGP make this a solid long term play with enough quick swings from week to week to entice a daytrader.
None $2 yet, LOL!!!
