Anyone see DNA's performance last few days. Thats my birdie. As for funds go, I actually enjoy comitting $ to specific companies. I'm kind of wierd, but I really enjoy reading 10Q reports and the gambler in me likes to put it all in 5-7 stocks with no diversification out of the industry. I work in high tech, but have contacts in biotech that can help me see through the crap. So it's largely a biotech holding for me right now. As for my holdings:
DNA (biggest position)- looking for new highs in 12 months
CRA - A trader, probably out at $12.50
BTRX - Multibagger from current levels, new highs in 12 months
SGEN - $10 and trade out
RFMD (small position) - rotate more in by mid April
JNPR (small position) - rotate more in by mid April
AUDC on deck
We will see. I was a swing short for the last few months. Now I am swing long for a lot longer. It's time for the tide to lift all ships before financial havoc comes to the US. All of Bush's mistakes will be paid by the next President. Until then, ride the wave..
How do you like that DIGL pick for this year. YAHOOO!
Wow! I am on the absolute other side of that one. 125% long, mostly biotech. Big meltup coming IMHO.
That's because WMT its now starting to make its run to $70 :)
As of today, I am 130% long, fully loaded, ready to rock. Mostly weighted in biotech. BTK is about ready to explode to the upside. C'mon market, wife needs a brand new set of wheels (she's a little jealous that I get to drive the new Tahoe)
SGEN on the move. Nice consolidation for last year. Looking for multiple bagger here over time...
BTRX looks real interesting right here. Almost hit the lower bollinger band on that spike down this AM. My guess is it drifts lower today and tomorrow on lower volume and then up and away. Established postion at $8.85 and will be scaling in next few days. If it sees $10 early next week (which I think it will), we are talking extremely bullish.
Did some DD on it. Really like the J&J tie tith with thier assets. Really like that Soros owns it. And really like that it was flushed out 6 months ago. This one will do more than a gap fill IMHO.
Wow! CMVT pummeled last few days. Going shopping tomorrow...
Bought only 400 shares of NVLS. Hoping to average down a bit more in the low $23's...
Not the group. NVLS only. I think we have 2 more days for the group. But with another good buy for it at the end of the month. I am just targeting a few right now..
Picked up some NVLS at $24.31 eom
NVLS - eying it, probably will jump in at eod. May have reached it's bottom in this leg down...
So. How's the shock value so far? ;)
Everything working as planned. Chips a little stronger than i thought, but thats ok. I expect us to have a 2-3 day relapse starting tomorrow/Friday. That will be the one I get fully long on....
I think we are finally starting our leg up!
What a perfect week now to spike up. Everyone either expecting down this week, or no move at all before Option Expiration Friday. How about a suprise move up now folks?
My window of time has passed. We needed to have weakness occur no later than last week. I gave it another day (today) for an outside shot. However, I think the ensuing rally is actually led by biotech these next few weeks, not chips or smh. So I am going to hold of on tech until the end of March (I am eying a VRSN purchase in the short term, but will scale in over several days). I also plan on adding several small and midcap biotechs tomorrow. SGEN right now is my largest holding and I am looking at CRA and GERN for tomorrow early morning. I'm really liking the consolidation in all of those weekly charts. I am very bullish now short and intermediate term.
By the way, SGEN was at $5.37. Mispinted an earlier post...
I've been swing short for several weeks now. Im fully long for several months now.
Now eying VRSN and PMCS..
Bought SGEN at $3.37 and took at stab at BTRX at $9.45. Like both charts a lot.
FYI - Closed all shorts and adding longs today. Fully bullish now...
The bottom is not in. Your early again. SMH down another $.75-$1, then maybe..
Sure. But what fun is that... lol
Cleared over $4k on 100 shares. Now thats America!
Just to show you how scared I am right now, I covered my entire GOOG short at an average of $344.49.
I looked at SVVS. Good luck there. It's run is delisting related. It's a real piece of @!@! if you ask me. I like sticking to quality companies, not ones that rack up a bill at Scores. LOL. Anyway, good luck there. Its a trader for sure, not a buy and hold like what I'm finally going to comimt myself to soon (really, I'm not kidding...lol)
I agree. I am going to go after the stocks that haven't had the MO bug recently, but will. For examle, remember good ole Emulex from 1999-2000. Well, ELX is on the Dow now, and if it get's wood shedded here in the next few days, I'm grabbing it for sure. Same with NVLS. Staying short and watching day by day...
I agree, but the final days to short are usually the most volatile and profitable days to do it. GL
Looking for SMH $35 first before I buy the CHIPS.
LOL! I totally agree with you. You are totally correct. BUT NOT YET....Give it another 4-5 trading days IMHO.
The drop is a later later than I had hoped, but it is indeed materializing. Time to get the margined longs bankrupt before the train leaves the station....
GOOG ticker symbol should be changed to GLUG. Come to poppa baby...
Bought my first long - INFA - Average cost $14.61. I really like thier prospects going forward after this mini relapse I expect, and it's at a 5% discount today...
Haven't covered a thing.
GOOG short still looks very good. Covered nothing so far...JCOM, GOOG, FFIV.
Well, the QQQQ is up on volume, but going no where. Keeping the bearish stance..
Tomorrow's action will set me straight. If down, then down is still the game plan. If up on volum, I concede and wait for the next dip to ride the bull train.
Nope. Not bullish yet.
Once this mini relapse is over in the next few weeks, I'm picking up a village of VRSN and RFMD. I like how those look..
