Wish I did China. I've decided to get my shares in certificates and paper my walls.
Kids and their games!
Poker, good morning. I'm curious here, what are you expecting that will drive prices quickly down to below .10?
Come one Sal, if all the whiners go and everyone then agrees all the entertainment value goes as well.
Jay
Yes, agree. It would truly appreciate the SP if there were less outstanding shares. Boost it upward nicely!
Guess I was wrong I didn't think you'd get them for that price today. Congrats!
Pat, wouldn't that only reduce the 'public float' and not change the float at all. Either way him doing that wouldn't change the outstanding shares.
DM, you may have had a chance if Crude weren't flirting with $61 after the news of production decreases by OPEC and Korea testing its nuclear program. JMO of course.
Very informative post Jag, Thanks!
Jay
Damn, and OPEC ministers announced they will be disclosing tomorrow its plan to curtail production. The rig arriving and this news would have given us a nice hike in SP. Now I'm afraid we'll have some minor dumping. I'm not parting with any of my holdings, but I understand if some do. Delays have a tendency to cause many to loose faith in leadership.
Morning Low, #5 on your list is one I'd heard tell of years ago when I was married to this really sharp RN. I asked her about this and she laughed at me (1, just one of the reasons we are no longer married) and said this was untrue. So when I read it in your list I called my youngest daughter, an RN at the KU Medical Center ICU department and she said she wasn't sure, but thought it was true. She said she'd ask someone that would surely know. #8, I asked my baby about this one as well, it sounded kinda far-fetched, and she said it was factual. Good list enjoyed it.

SBC, I don't understand why it is there is any debate over what a 'Float' is. All anyone has to do is go to any financial dictionary and it is right there. Words have meanings and when it comes to definitions opinions have no right to even be allowed in the room. Howard has been incorrectly stating the 'float' of his companies stock. It is as simple as that. Am I suggesting we detain him and submit him to 1000 lashes for his mistake? No, I am not if it is just a mistake. However, if ignorance is not the case and he and his cheerleaders are intentionally attempting to mislead present and future investors, well then maybe he and they should be exposed. According to the data Lucy has published here on this site the Float is: 405,282,693 and the 'Public Float' is: 152,899,056.
Should 'we' already invested here with what some call a 'Long' status jump ship because of this misuse of words? I'm not, but at the same time I'm using the 'public float' to calculate and my opinions as to what the market is thinking is as astute and correct as anyones. Never have I published that another's assumptions are incorrect before said evidence of outcome has arrived and those doing so, if they've any ethical education should return said parchment and get their money back.
King says there is no 'housing slowdown' and in his area there may not be, but the market is much broader than his region and when one looks at the broader inventory of unsold homes around 'this' country his statement about the housing industry should be scrutinized by those reading them and understood that he is speaking only of a 'regional' status. Lucy, your assertion that poster's comments on why the stock price is going down are 'incorrect assumptions' must also be weighed against her agenda and irritation with those choosing to think differently than her.
I've enjoyed reading and every-once-in-awhile posting her on this site, but after writing this message I doubt I'll be allowed to in the future. So, all of you choosing to stay with this Co. and overlook Howard's misuse of words, , GLTA . . . . . Jay
No Circle I am not kidding. I think and it is my opinion that most potential future shareholders think of generators as something to be purchased for or after an emergency and roofing tiles as something associated with the housing industry and bad weather. I am a shareholder and like most I am concerned with the share price but not so discouraged as to sell. The thoughts I'm sharing are what I think any potential new buyer will be thinking. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't ridicule or assault, just voice my oinion on occassion.
I calculate the float as all outstanding common shares
To large a float!
Products tied closely to catastrophic events (emergency generators) No hurricanes or ice storms lately
Products tied to housing now in a downward trend
I think you are right on with your assumptions!

As I've said before I love your optimism Low. My lower guess is based on the lower Crude prices we're seeing and my conservative nature checking my optimism. I'll gracefully accept the pain of the knife for the glee of the higher SP !!!
"Hero or Zero" . . . . been there . . . both sides . . . . I've seen the bottom of more than my share of holes (opened myself up there to Lowman's fabulolus sense of humor)and on a percentage basis I'm doing pretty damn good over the years and I truly feel lucky here. I've a brother with a 32nd interest in a well currently drilling in west central Kansas at this time and I told him I didn't have a good feeling about it and he went against my 'feelings' and so I hope my 'senses' are right here and wrong there.
J
HILARIOUS ! ! !
Question . . . .what is the prize? And, will all those both under and over succumb to the knife? Or, will it just be constant ridicule by all those others reading and not playing? What is your play Low?
That a way. I too feel the cool breeze starting to run down my back. Hope like hell the knife is at least sharp!
Major indexes yes. However, of the 10 pennies I'm currently playing only 3 are down. Of course we've 2 hrs of play left today and as we all know anything can and most probably will happen in these last 2 hours.
I agree Copley. However, Low asked for preditions. Come on stick your neck out and expose it to the knife!
OK, I'll play. I think by Friday close next week we will have seen an ask of .17. If, if mind you we see Crude above $62 and NG above $6.75 we will see .19. I hope I'm wrong and we see .20 plus, but the play I'll commit to is .17 ! ! !
We've only had appox. $15,000 worth of trades today so far. I can only assume with crude and ng falling back down a bit we've a few just playing the prices. JMO of course.
J
Yes Dingo, you've my 'heart felt' apology for veering from the most pertinent issue of all . . .Go EDEX . .Ra Ra Ra!!!!
Two very interesting articles IMT, thanks for the connection. I'm all for every power need to be filled by electrical means as long as we can create said electricity from sources other than Crude, Natural Gas and Coal! Yes, very hypocritical of me since my trade and investment strategies are centered around O&G, but what the hell the game today is here not in wind and hydrogen!
Copley, You are right. I've been following BCON ever since they announced this new product over a year ago. I like the concept very much and have great hopes their Ca. test proves out successfully.
The new turbines have a 'variable power' technology that to a degree allows for and stores surg energy created by wind and then applies it when applicable. However, the storage is very limited and time restrained. Mostly this type of generation is dependent upon the Utility receiving/purchasing the electricity and its operation capacity/limitations. Beacon's storage tech. will make wind power much more acceptable to Utility Co's throughout the World.
China, looking at historical data showing only 2 or 3 were buys at .0003. The balance were sales at .0002. I haven't a clue what it is goin to take to get this stock moving upward. Yes, another shakerzzzz attack would do it, but besides that I've no clue. Have you?
Going to have to pay my monthly subscription or go yearly so I can do private replys. Meanwhile I will continue to make all public. "Build it and they will come" I agree which is why I've brought a nephew into the fold and presently have him investigating the necessary ingredients in forming a public co. centered around this development. Time will tell if we take it public. Meanwhile we have and will continue to obtain land lease rights for the development of these 60MW of electricity. We've already negotiated purchase rights for this production with 3 small cities in Central Kansas. We were welcomed with open arms!
The majority of the turbines in California are of the old technology. They only generate in the Kilowatts, usually a 500KW max. The new technology turbines are on appox. 100 meter high towers with rotor diameter of 300 + feet and over 90,000 sq ' of sweep area. Big Mommas!!!!! really cool machines generating up to 3.6 MW per machine. Most of the newer models generate 1.5 to 2.5 MW per land unit. And, most importantly every year the cost to produce each watt is decreasing, making it very competitive with both coal and natural gas. Only nuclear is producing electricity cheaper. If only GE would increase their production capacity we could see an overnight run into this means of production. Currently the waiting time is over a year to get a unit delivered, which is quite an undertaking in itself!
I've looked far and wide for a good pure play in wind with no success. Even thought about forming my own public co. in order to create just such a thing!
Windmills? No, can't imagine it. However, if you are referring to Wind Turbines to produce electricity, yea, why not? Sorry, couldn't help myself Low. I'm a very outspoken wind turbine fan. I have been working on leases over a 26 mile stretch of land to generate over 60 MW of electricity for commercial sale here in Kansas. We've got plenty wind, and it is free to be harvested
Jay! ! !
Yes, true! But, not in my backyard!
Love your sense of humor Low, tkx I needed a good laugh!
Jay
Amen . . . Ditto ! !
Interesting post Low. The key words to recognize are: "according to", "suggest", "raise questions" and "arguably" . . .
If all this is somtime deemed to be factual GW should ask for the camels back from the Saudi Minister since OPEC has announced cut backs in production and discussions on an emergency meeting in the very near future.
Not being to political, but I wonder if Clinton, papa Bush, Regan and Carter had any discussions as such, per Woodward with oil ministers?
Interesting! We started our day with a 15K sale for $3.00 to bring us back down to .0002. What a deal ! !
I agree positive. However, whether it was enough to spur new investors or bring back those already having dumped, I question at the time. I think we'll need a bit more to spark the fire to really get us moving in an uptrend.
Hope to hell I'm wrong.
