I am trying to understand this. Does a 48% short mean 48% of the daily volume or 48% of the total share count are shorted? Or something else altogether. I appreciate the time of anyone willing to give a brief explanation.
JUST FOR FUN. does anyone have a guess what Trulieve is going to do with their new war chest?
What about buying out some of the insider stock? Would that even be legal?
What company could they buy out....what is it 700 million plus 250 million line of credit?
Great sign of confidence in Trulieve by some big players.
When Aphria sold their shares in Liberty, the buyer could not sellout or arrange a buyout before Mid July at the cost of having to pay Aphria 10 million dollars. If anything is going to happen, it will be after that time passes.
Looks like the company has a lot riding on these structures. Just read that Airstream has one million square feet in production now, so that is encouraging. The air holding the structure up also keeps out pests and weeds. Probably would not be great for areas known for Tornadoes and Hurricanes! Hope they can get plants growing soon!
Thanks!
Can anyone explain to me What the Trulieve offering today of $1000 units means?
In comparing them to Trulieve, they have 50% of stores with 10% of sales volume. I guess the good news is that they have lots of room to improve!
Green Growth Brands is coming to Florida - but not through Liberty. It is interesting that in buying Spring Oaks (as far as I know ) they are paying 54 1/2 million US for essentially a license in Florida.
Has anyone seen any info that gives insight to how much of the flower sales are new growth compared to customers shifting to flower from the refined products?
I am new to holding any stocks. But, it seems crazy that with 75 million in cash the company has a market cap today of only 137.1 million USD. Their business plan seems solid....does everyone just expect to become instant millionaires? As a newbie, any opinions that could shed some light on this would be appreciated. Personally, I do not believe that what is said on this board makes a lot of difference in the stock prices and hope it can just be discussed without a lot of nonsense about market manipulation.
The chart is in the trenches right now - it just might be ready for its uphill run!
Up 11%
That is the kind of Liberty movement it is good to see. The last time I sold this stock it was only because it spiked to double what I paid, I went back in with more shares as soon as it dropped....should have waited a bit longer as it was still dropping.....but you all know that. Hopefully a long uphill climb has begun!
Two things in the release. Green Growth made provisions to negotiate business deals with Aphria in the future (they can maintain the Aphria brand in Florida if they come) and a discounted buyout of multiple millions of shares from GA Opporunities (which has ties to a fund supposedly connected to Aphira). Are they cleaning up twisted interconnections to allow the takeover? And why is GA Opportunities willing to sell Green Growth brand shares back at a huge discount? Hopefully the shareholders will not be adding our hard earned money to the profits of Green Growth, but I think they are coming.
One of the profit centers for ETF funds, unfortunately, is making its large holdings available for Short sellers.
Someone should correct me if I am wrong ;
Florida is seed to sale. They have product brands that are manufactured by them under license. They make everything.
Sounds Good. By the way, my calendar has a note that you predicted 15+ beginning of April....Right ON!
Hope the shorters are well exposed because they are going to lose their tails this week.....can't wait to watch the surge which must be coming!
Very interesting regarding Florida values. Does anyone know much about Vidcann? They just opened last year, local owners. Were they unable to get the capital to grow and just took the money for a quick profit? Certainly it was either a great bargain or does suggest CannaMania! I have been comparing Liberty with Trulieve for a while, and curious if Trulieve is greatly overvalued or Liberty undervalued? If there is a Iceberg going, I guess that is good for tiny investors like me, as it says that big buck consortiums have confidence to put a huge amount of cash on the line. Hope Florida passes the law that allows Med Card holders from other states to buy in Florida. That would add millions of tourists to their customer base, instantly.
11 million is 10.6 percent of the true share count once the super shares are converted
Sold Charlottes Web at a small profit to add Liberty.
Big mistake, or Big win? Hey, I can't resist the slot to win a new Corvette (but am driving an old truck)! The volume and price movement of Liberty's stock seemed odd. Particularly when Trulieve dropped a good bit today. I like the Schottenstein/Aphria deal in Ohio and actually would like to see Liberty absorbed by Green Growth. I am worried about seeing that the CEO of SOL Global commented on how good a company Liberty is......dumped their stock at a loss because the company does not seem right to me.
I have posted about Trulieve (I know now they can't legally do it) and Green Growth (seems like several articles are out suggesting this) as it seems like something could be in the works. I am definitely not Pumping, just opening a "what if" discussion, to try to guess what could be happening and what is the best strategy. My opinion is that someone saying something good or bad here couldn't have any impact on the stock price. Three times the normal number of trades happened today. Frankly that the stock held at a a 10% loss maybe a positive sign....after all the CEO and CFO just suddenly quit, which suggests run for the hills!! Tomorrow? We will see.
Thanks for posting.......Exactly what I was guessing, but How to play it? In normal times having such a shakeup should send the stock in a tail spin tomorrow. But with a possible buy out ...who knows.
From swirling some cannibas leaves in a cup and reading their message, I do suspect Liberty was being prepped for sale but not to Trulieve. Green Growth Brands could use a LIBERTY acquisition to enter Florida in a big way. Also, they can use Gainesville for Hemp and Extractions for their mall CBD Kiosks around the country. I can't see how Liberty Stock can do anything but crash tomorrow unless some news comes out in the AM.
While it would be cool for Trulieve to jump right up to 30 stores, it would take the money that they need to become Multi State, which they stated they needed to do.
Looking at Aphria who sold their shares in Liberty with a buy back plan, now cancelled, to the family that now owns much of Liberty and ALSO owns much of Green Growth Brands.............that tried to take over Aphria...........maybe they just wanted all of Liberty to begin with. If the growing jolly green giant is coming, how should one play the potential change? Long on Liberty, Long on Green Growth, or short one or the other. No inside information here, just listening to the rumble in the railroad tracks and making a guess that the train is coming.
Another company which I follow, Nano Sphere Health Science is setting up licensing deals around the world (Mexico, Oregon, Colorado, California).....Trulieve should pick this up......Smoking is going to be the dangerous old school method of use......and the constantly talked about ingestion with food or liquid is just a different experience. When rec comes along in Florida, I think that in a sophisticated health oriented market, the winning method of use will be Evolve sprays and patches or something similar.
Or they are making Liberty available for acquisition by taking away their control. Would their facilities in Gainesville + and their built out clinics make them an attractive target for Trulieve to acquire?
I read this somewhere recently (maybe even here) and don't know for sure it works but read that Even small stock owners in Trulieve can lock up shares - keeping your brokers from making them available for Shorting.....just put in a sell order at a price that is quite high.....the shares will then be locked up. If everyone in for Long did this, it would really cramp the manipulaters moves! (if it really goes up, be sure you are willing to sell at the price you list).
The thing is, these people (so called insiders) built a profitable company investing private money.
Investors did not build the company from scratch, they did. So why should they not have a high degree of ownership? I am glad to have the opportunity to have a small stake. I like what they are doing in the town of Quincy and am impressed with what they have built.
If the law changes in Florida for adult use, why would anyone pay all the fees needed for Medical? Will Trulieve benefit from the changes?
A couple of questions, that someone may be able to clarify.
If their 75 1/2 million shares are being locked up by the founders, that represents 68.6% of the voting shares and there are around 2 million sold publicly, where are the other 35 or so million allocated shares? And with just under 115 million shares total is a market cap (current market price) of 970 million correct? Or should the current share price be lowered to reflect a smaller market cap? Just trying to get hold of what the numbers actually mean. Can anyone clarify or point out where I am mistaken?
