Whining? One Minor Delay? Are you kidding me? This is more than one minor delay. Fred may not have been around for all the other PRs that were not followed through on, but that does not mean he gets a free pass either. He was supposed to change things and this delay is "Business as usual". I do not care that much about the Divi, but I am pissed that this company can not keep their word. We all have a right to be pissed and it is not whining.
In my opinion, the following quote is the reason for the delay.
"Due to the ongoing negotiations with TeleCents Communications, the Company felt it was in the best interest of our shareholders to modify the dividend record and pay dates.
TRANSLATION: Things are not going well.
Your questions are way too basic for a situation that is much more complicated.
A) 99% of our cash flow goes one way
B) A share reduction will help, but is not the solution.
C) Share reduction, a company that follows through and keeps their word, and a MAJOR contract will go a long way towards healing this massive open wound that has sent us into a coma.
IMO of course
who- Remember, you can't become anymore wrong by holding. If you are not sure about buying, don't. Take the money you were going to buy shares with and go out and buy something you can enjoy right now.
Smiling and having fun, as a return on your dollar, is priceless. I realize the conversation is light-hearted and that is the way this post is meant.
Have a great day!
Happy- It is simply because if they say 100%, they are claiming perfection must be obtained. This way they have an out if the occasional container gets missed or a "reliable" one comes through that they do not scan.
Just my opinion, but it is risky to claim 100%.
Thanks, you too. Nothing too surprising here with HISS. WE are in a "Wait and See" mode until shares are retired. IMO
OT: Capt- Go easy on me tonight. I am out of RUM and I don't get paid 'til Monday. LOL
jersey- I hope you are right about the first part and I agree 100% about the last part.
Yesterday- Thanks. Let's hope that means there is big news in the newsletter, or do you already have that info as well?
Thanks Lacy, good job. eom
Nighty, Night eom
OT: Everything has its price!
Capt- It is like that Tom Cruise movie where they arrest people before they commit the crime. LOL
Ward- I wish it were Groundhog Day. Then maybe we would still be worth over a penny. LOL
Nope! Can't argue facts. eom
OT: How bout them Eagles!!!
OT: Spence- No big deal, RIMM is only at about $108 per share so it is not like we missed out on anything. LOL
I know you are already asleep, but have a great weekend and I am really looking forward to telling our own stories someday.
For example: "Remember when HISC was trading for under a penny? Now we are over the $10 mark and laughing our arses off!
We can at least dream, can't we?
P.S. I spend my days teaching others to play golf and I rarely touch my own clubs so I don't know if "smart" will ever be used to describe me.
emilson- dividend is not that big of a deal and the float is way to large for positive movement.
Hopefully, as it has been stated here before, HISS will reduce the float after the merger, sales will continue to come in, and then the PPS will go up. Hopefully
Or not.
Good Luck, stay well, and live! I know it has already been posted, but remember: Anything, Anytime, Anywhere, just ask and we shall do our best to send you what you need.
Thank you in advance!!!
Thomas Edison never had a float this big. LOL
Point well taken, though. Unfortunately, in today's business world we don't have the luxury of that many "tries" at it.
No, it is not. eom
That is what I was thinking, too. Oh well.
sniper- Agreed. I would put float reduction as #1, #2, and #3, but you are right about your list.
who- Thanks, I did receive mine in my e-mail this morning. As always, though, your assistance is appreciated.
Have a great day. It is raining here in Central California.
OT: So Yahoo is "Nohoo"?
Does anyone have any info on the Vegas convention? I would sure like to find out if we are really going. I e-mailed them through the website, but have received nothing back. I am not sure if I can still clear my schedule, but I would like to go and take notes, pictures, shake hands, etc...
scoobey- You are right, except that until the float is reduced our train is going uphill on greased tracks.
I am an optimist by nature, but reality is what it is.
super- Well said. I am happy to see actual sales and payment PRs, but unfortunately they mean very little, except for creating a very small revenue base. My guess is that sales PRs like this have no effect on the PPS at this point.
A PR about a significant reduction in the float would be huge.
GLTA
Any information on the convention in Vegas would be appreciated. I am waffling back and forth on whether it is worth going. It is only a 5 1/2 hour drive from home, but I can't convince myself to do it, yet.
If anyone comes up with concrete info, it might sway me to go.
P.S. It probably won't take much to sway me to go to Vegas.
Gotta go... Movie night with the family.
C-Ya
numoney- Thanks for the opinion. I hope you are right.
I am currently self employed and have been in upper management of a business before. I agree it is VERY difficult, but one thing I learned very quick was not to say things publicly unless I knew I would follow through.
I have never been in management of a publicly held company and I can only imagine how much more difficult that is.
I do believe there are great things in store for this company otherwise I would not have invested in it.
P.S. I tried this cider with vodka and, WOW, it is great. I am also looking forward to the national explosion of this company. I promise not to bash too much, but I thought I would get my opinion out there in the beginning.
Thanks- I like the product, but management needs to pay attention to details and keep their word. The little things like not updating the website when they said they would and not informing us about the Vegas show. They say they are going, but I can't find them anywhere on the registration. If they are going to be with another company, tell us.
The best product does not always succeed if management can't manage. I am hoping they are doing better at the things we can't see.
WE have it in a local Pub and some gas station/mini-marts and I have purchased a couple of cases to give to friends and family for testing. So far the response has been positive.
GLTA
Yes. eom
Smoking- Newbie here, Thank you for getting the label up.
OT: who- All tears will be deleted unless they are tears of joy for HISC. (not possible at this point) LOL - Just kidding, sort of. Have a great day.
Ditto Spence!!! eom
Good Morning Capt.- No it is not an empty PR, but it is not a new sales team either. It is an extension of an agreement with a company that has already been marketing our product. I do consider it good news, though. I also like the fact that they extended the agreement only through the end of the year, because if we don't see action, it gives us the freedom to move in a different direction. Maybe HISS feels Local Presence should be able to finalize a deal by the end of '06 or we will find someone who will.
I hope you are right. eom
stars- I appreciate your optimism, but there is nothing "concrete" about the PR, yet. We have all seen this before only to have the rug pulled out from under us.
I hope HISS follows through. It will be one of the only times they have. Maybe we are turning a corner, but will be driven in the right direction.
We still need sales and shares retired.
GLTY
Spence- Well said, accurate, concise. eom
OT: Saturn- How's it going? I was doing a little research and came across a company that made me think of you.
It is called Gulfport Energy Corp. (GPOR) They are primarily in the Gulf region and I did not know if you had heard of them or researched them, yet. They are an independent oil and gas company and I was curious to get your opinion on them.
Thanks in advance for any info or opinion you might be willing to share. I have not made up my mind on it yet.
A agree Spence- Combining the reports instead of reporting second quarter numbers means they are being deceptive. They are hoping people will just look at the numbers as a whole rather than seeing second quarter numbers which were not good.
The possibilities are still there for a positive year, but this was the wrong report. Second quarter financials mean just that.
Thanks for the post.
