Great post! You earned a person mark. Well thought out post.
Thank you,

Howard
IT'S ALL GOOD!
Everything is heading in the right direction.
If you're IN---STAY IN!
If you're OUT---GET BACK IN! ("Neil, don't do it AGAIN!")
If you're trying to decide---a price under .01 looks pretty good to me.
Good luck to all and please, don't get mad at me just because I'm optimistic about NEOM's (and OUR) future.
Sorry, I'm not able to tell how good an employee will be by how he looks but I CAN create a professional site in about a week (6 months-WEEE-OOO!)
Regards to all,
Howard
PS: Rabbit, congratulations on that $400!
JONESIEATL: SECOND POST:
JONESIEATL, THIS IS AN HONEST REQUEST. I'M EATING CROW TO ASK YOU FOR THIS HELP BUT I BELIEVE IT'S IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE PRESENT NEOM STOCKHOLDERS, OF COURSE, INCLUDING MYSELF. IT GIVES YOU AN OPPORTUNITY TO ACTUALLY PUT TO USE ALL OF THE RESEARCH AND EXPERIENCE THAT YOU HAVE ACQUIRED DURING THESE PAST 3 or 4 YEARS.
I'M NOT JOKING AND I'M NOT BEING FACETIOUS. OR DISRESPECTFUL. PLEASE RESPOND.
---------------------------------------------------------
Jonesie, you could provide some real help to us if you could answer some of these questions using your research with YA involvements:
Did any of the shareholders fight back? If so, how? Were they successful?
Did any of the companies involved have a product with the potenial of ours?
As far as you know, was the SEC involved in any type of investigation of YA during their involvement with the other companies?
Jonesie, you can see what I'm asking, using your past research and experience with Cornel/YA, if you were still a stockholder, what would you do? In which direction should we head? Lawsuit?
SEC? Should we wait for a set period of time? Looking for what?
In your opinion (and I think you may be the best person in the world to ask)
WHAT IS HAPPENING??
Regards,
Howard
I am, tomorrow or Wed.
H
I think that to "get straight" a r/s was needed and NOW it's happening. GOOD!
I agree, Nicehit, that NEOM should have an idea of what revenue they can expect and IMO it's that expected revenue that has led to this R/S.
We all have read that r/s's only work when they are accompanied by good news---like revenue projections, licenses, contracts, campaigns, etc. Catch my drift?
Regards,
Howard
Exactly, Phonix69, and I believe that this is a big part of Neom's plan...thus the NY office!
Regards,
Howard
I agree with you, it is way too early to actually put these actions into play, but not too early to be gathering information about (1) what is actually happening and (2) what to do if action is needed.
I appreciate the digging done by many on this board.
Regards,
Howard
IMO it is way too early and way out of line for me to be thinking about INJUNCTIONS, STONING OF THE BOD's, SEC, etc.
I need way more information then we have now.
This whole situation reminds me of Danny Thomas's "STORY OF THE JACK"
A man is driving down a country road, passes a gas station, drives another 3 or 4 miles and has a flat.
He looks in his trunk and there's no jack--he says to himself, "I'll walk back to the gas station and borrown a jack."
He starts walking. He starts talking to himself. "That looks like a nice gas station, I'm sure he'll lend me a jack. Maybe he'll ask for a buck deposit, maybe 5 bucks, maybe even TEN BUCKS! The mnore he keeps walking the worse scenarios he talks himself into.
Finally, he gets to the gas station, walks up to the owner and says, "You can take that jack and shove it up your A*S!
My point is:I need way more information then I have now and I believe that information will be forthcoming during the next few months.
Regards to all,
Howard
I think that's exactly what is happening. I expect to hear lots of good news during the next 3 months, starting during the next couple of days.
"Real achievement TALKS---BS WALKS." I believe that the time has come for us to hear about REAL ACHIEVEMENTS!
Regards,
Howard
Clawmanmn, JP, etc. YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS TO ASK JONESIEATL. His past research and experience with Cornel/YA could provide valuable help to us.

Jp, no one respects you more than I, but I just sent this message to the Administrators:
Dear Administrator,
I like the "stickies" up at the top. They immediately call attention to PR's and other HARD news.
I don't believe they are appropriate for a post like JP's, which is his opinion. Putting an "opinion" up top says to everyone coming to I-HUB, "This is the opinion of EVERYONE here."
JP's opinion is NOT MY OPINION. I don't believe that it should be on a stickie at the top.
Regards,
Howard
Thanks, BC.
I do not see this as an "ordeal."
Here's what I think has happened:
Licenses have been sold and revenue has begun to flow (trickle might be a better word) into NEOM. But management has realized that more time would be needed for the ecosystem to be finished and for the advertising to really get moving. They decided, also, that they could do some of the heavy lifting themselves and reap the greater rewards for advertising campaigns.
All of this would take some money. They went to YA and asked for a loan of 2.5 million. YA needed protection and added the other stuff. The r/s was always going to eventually happen. The "non-selling" 4 months came out of these negotiations. Rather than upset everybody multiple times they decided to do EVERYTHING at once. They did. We were. Now we're moving on.
Let's look at these next 4 months:
I think we'll see PR's on everything that happens. No more QUIET TIMES!
I think Neustar will be named the Clearinghouse.
I think we'll be told about some licenses and contracts that will generate revenue.
I think we'll hear about a legitimate stockbroker involved with NEOM.
I think we'll average a positive PR per week.
----------------------------------
Think of it this way:
Stockholders in NEOM have been 100% right about the technology but 100% wrong about the stock. Now that these same stockholders (the ones that are left) have turned negative about the stock, the chances are that it will move in the opposite direction from what they now predict--UP when they are now predicting DOWN...it started already on Friday.
What could 4 months of NEOM, with good PRs and no YA selling, look like?
We'll find out!
Good luck to all.
My advice:
If you're IN---stay IN!
If you got out---get back IN!
If you're thinking about getting IN---now is the time---less than a penny looks pretty good to me.
Have a good weekend---Tuesday will be exciting.
Do I have to say that this is all IMO?---IT IS.
h
96 million shares, up 36% seems to me to be more than a little "blip." Today was the busiest UP day since October 20---almost 3 months ago.
This next week should prove to be REALLY interesting.
Good luck to all,
Howard
PS: I read the PR as saying, "We're not going out of business. We're here and we're staying here."
I was a buyer.

I'll sleep like a baby tonight.
Good to see that cooler heads are prevailing and that the pps has stabilized. The whales on this board have described three or four possible scenarios that IMO could work to the advantage of the stockholders.
We still don't have all of the answers but the indication seems to be from the "mareket" that this is not catastophic.
There are some, calling for drastic actions (telephone calls, emails, letters, SEC, FBI, even physical confrontations, demonstrations in Atlanta) before they actually know what is happening. Some have already sold their stock and have left forever or are waiting to buy back cheaper---they may be surprised...
I have a strong feeling that patience is exactly what is needed right now.
Is NEOM a REAL company? Does it have patents? Does it have REAL contracts? Is it involved in an industry that can make money? Even if every other view of NEOM was negative (YA, management, financing), there is enough REAL stuff going on to cause me to stay.
AND I AM!!
Regards and enjoy a brighter day,
Howard
I'm not telling anyone to buy BUT:
I firmly and honestly believe that we'll all come out of this OK.
I think that everything is being positioned to bring in the "whale" that we've been hoping for.
With a reasonable float and earnings right down the road, NEOM would certainly look attractive to REAL investment bankers and REAL brokers.
Please don't throw stones at me, I'm only giving you my honest opinion at this juncture of what has been a long and wild ride.
Would I buy more? I'll think about it, but I want to see what happens when todays panic subsides and we have a chance to hear more from Clawmann, Jp, etc.
Regards and Good Luck!
Howard
Krays, thanks for keeping up with the patent stuff.
Slowly but surely...quietly behind the scenes, Neomedia is moving forward to enhance its position as one of the principal players in one of the primary commercial trends of the coming decades.
This is sooooo BIG that I doubt if anyone here (including me) can truly grasp what each one of us is a part of.
Honestly, I feel like one of the local men witnessing the Wright brothers at Kill Devil Hill. They would see the plane actually fly, then go home to read articles about how "man would never fly."
Well, fly we will and the day is getting nearer when the whole world will be talking about Neomedia and the fact that you could have bought stock for ONE CENT---"Imagine, only ONE CENT!"
Have a good weekend.
Howard
Why does Scottrade show the low for the year at .0008. Don't errors ever get corrected?
Howard
Happy 2010 to you, Jonesie, and ditto to your congrats and thank you to the new and old moderators. In this emotional space, being a mod is an extra tough job.
I hope that this year will help eliminate some of the emotions and give us some solid facts (good, I hope) to work with.
Regards,
Howard
Pick up in volume and a jump in the offer...looks like something may be happening---I hope!
Howard
I believe that Lain deserves a hefty bonus for all that he has accomplished for NEOM this past year.
True, the pps hasn't reflected his accomplishments but, honestly, I don't want him "playing" with the pps--he'll only get himself and NEOM in trouble.
One day--and I'm VERY patient---the price will reflect the company...that's when we'll all be happy that we're in NEOM.
Regards,
Howard
I always value your chart observations.
Thanks, Chartist and Happy New Year.
Howard
The agreement between NEOM and Nuestar would continue even if NEOM was bought out by another company. I believe the contract had a life of four years.
Clawmann can give you the definitive opinion on the continuation of the contract.
Regards,
Howard
JP, best wishes to you and your family in 2010. This is the year that will reward you for your faith and optimism and DD.
Regards,
Howard
Brownedog,
Welcome to I-HUB. Glad to see you're optimistic enough about NEOM to be following our little stock.
2010 should be a wonderful year for NEOM...the foundation is now in place and the pps should finally reflect what is ACTUALLY happening.
Please have a great New Year.
Regards,
Howard
I believe these are trades needed to be completed in year 2009 for tax reasons.

Howard

Happy Holiday to all!
Howard
Interesting article, Jen. Thanks for all that you do for us.
Happy holidays,
Howard
THE INTERVIEW: My sense of the interview is that NEOM to some extent is already working with MSFT AND Google. Too much confidence was shown by a really low-key guy to be just neutral COO stuff---something REAL is happening.
Everything is IMO but I will say that I'm looking for a buy price to substantially increase my position.
Good luch to all of my friends,
Howard
Thanks, Chartist.
I'm looking for a price to add significantly to my position. Your chart savvy proved to be spot on during the "early" years.
Thanks again,
Howard
I want all of the:
FACTS
FICTIONS
OPINIONS
DREAMS
INSIDE INFO
PUMPS
BASHES
PREDICTIONS
even HALLUCINATIONS
In other words, I want ALL of the information...it's my job to make of the information what I will.
How else can you run a chat room?
The moderators would have an impossible job deciding what is "REAL" versus "UNREAL" information and I don't want anyone doing that for me. (Too much of that is going on already IMO.)
Regards to all,
Howard

Google 2D barcodes for Place Pages proves mobile barcodes are the glue for the mobile search marketplace
Posted by Bena Roberts on Dec 17, 2009 10:52
Tags: 2d barcode, 2D Barcodes, favourite places, google, google maps, google places, mobile, Mobile barcodes, Neomedia, patents, quickmark, scanbuy
So many amazing deals have been nurtured in the mobile barcode space over the past three years. It’s a pity that Google has to enter the space to get noteworthy media attention. Even though I would like to discuss how stories are vetted by the media for significance, at this point I am merely highlighting that Google is only one tiny player in a mobile barcode space that has intensive potential.
Google is creating a postcard style 2D barcode sticker programme as part of its Place Pages programme to extend its local mobile search experience.
How?
Google has teamed up with QuickMark. An app will be available on the iPhone and Android devices. The first 40K downloads are free and in shops postcard type stickers will be made available saying something cheesy like “I’m a Google Favourite take a picture of my code for more”.
Cheesy?
Oh. Yes. The cheesyness of this campaign with the stickers and local search and postcards is what is going to make it a success. I have to say it is obvious Google hasn’t used an agency for this and some geek in the office drew this up on the back of his Bionade mat.
Failure?
I have to mention that I do think this will be a success but if I am honest, not everything 2D barcodes and Google works.. remember the Print barcode scheme?
But?
The struggle for mobile barcode dominance hasn’t just began. But with Google taking it to the heart of its local mobile strategy wider implications are unveiled.
The mammoth potential of mobile barcodes doesn’t end at taking a picture of a code and getting a URL on your mobile phone. The adventure starts here. The fact that Google is giving this a brand name and putting the focus on local search and business uncovers the start of a vivid and bright spark in the search based multimedia and barcode space.
Shopsavvy is a part of this stream of barcode based shopping search applications but real local search with barcodes is a new ballgame. Local search or shop window barcode search topped up with a mobile phone and a barcode cements the start of the next phase in mobile where mobile marketing can significantly chance the mobile landscape.
For example: You see a Places sign you take a picture of the barcode. It tells you what coupons are available in the store but also gives you instant recommendations from friends and peers saying that only 50 meters up the road you can get something better or cheaper….
Many of us would walk up the road.
Q. What will this mean for advertisers?
Q. How much is this worth financially?
A. If successful – mobile market will forget the millions and start playing in the billion dollar space.
The power of mobile outside of voice is relatively untapped. But with a local shop window 2D code service and the power of search plus recommendation – the dynamic of shopping at will – WILL change.

Patents?
We all know that NeoMedia owns the 2D patent in the US and I am not sure if QuickMark has a deal with Neustar. But I will call NeoMedia today to find out.
I do know that QuickMark is not from the US - I think it is Chinese. Google has toyed with Scanbuy and there were rumours for a sale and moving to a Chinese player is also a strange move.

Actually, lesnshawn, that's a myth. Before dawn there's BMNT---Before Morning Nautical Twilight---that's when the sun is just under the horizon but it's providing the first light of the morning.
That's the phase I believe we're in---seeing the first light of a new day in the use of mobile phones.

This is something that is really needed and hass been needed for the past 10 years or so.

Here is a very "TELLING" article posted (12-9) by NaturalBornInvestor about two hours ago. It's "TELLING" in what it DOESN'T SAY. The article is an iterview of Paul Strzelecki, Managing Director of Yorkville Advisors.
Notice this part of paragraph #4:
and all Sony Ericsson phones will come with a barcode reader from the first quarter next year.
NEOM is not mentioned. Why?
SEC?
Working on a sale?
??
BC?
Clawmann?
