prove it, gimme a link, other than the companys PR
try this, its a pdf, this browzer I'm using won't open pdf files, let me know if it works
http://www.finra.org/web/groups/industry/@ip/@reg/@notice/documents/notices/p003997.pdf
edit-nellie, sorry to say, but you need to school your self up on dividends, record dates, ex-dividend dates. these posts will still be here in 3-4 months when it actually happens!
how bout I start ya out
http://www.sec.gov/answers/dividen.htm
http://www.dividend.com/dividend-stock-library/dividend_date.php
I got another one but its a pdf, gotta figure out how to get it here
thanks! and your right. we will
company sets the "record date". FINRA sets the "ex-date"
here's a really simple rule to remember:
own it the day before the ex-date at the close and you will get the divy-split
at this point we don't know the "ex-date". I don't care when ya buy it. for you longs that are gonna hold it, doesn't matter, you'll own it the day before the ex-date. but I'm guessing its gonna be a while.
and you're gonna believe the company over FINRA or the SEC?
I wouldn't go that far, lol. comparing GTGP to ATNP, yikes! what I'm saying is both of them were/are doing the same thing.
divy shares in a private company!
FINRA approved and set ex-date's for atnp(3 or 4 divys, private companys), FINRA will do the same here for GTGP.
exactly, wow, someone who knows divys! hats off too ya!
I haven't seen a divy yet that didn't have an ex-date.
not sure what the company is referring to "no ex-date". I'm thinking it might be a restricted divy that will not be quoed EX. in which case they won't publish the ex-date but it still applies. 2 days before the rec date
here's a link to a company that did exactly the same thing gtgp doing except they never followed through with the IPO's
http://www.otcbb.com/asp/dividend.asp?sym_id=atnp
how's FINRA gonna set the ex-date when they haven't even been notified yet? as per the PR.
jc, altho that link is correct, its kinda old, FINRA has taken over for the NASDQ 2-3 yrs ago. FINRA now does all that, including setting the ex-date.
yikes, as stated in the PR, 12/23 was the "RECORD DATE" not the ex-date. there is a difference. a really big one!!
FINRA sets the ex-date, not the company, not the exchange.
flame on
loosing the D tomorrow 12/29

lol, I agree with that, if this company had shareholders interest in mind they could of done a 3% stock divy. you wouldn't have been locked out. they wanted existing shareholders locked out for weeeks.
quicker this time, by a couple weeks?
the D? they put the D on when a company is going through a split and want to keep their symbol the same. so there's no confusion while the shares are being exchanged. IMO
AT LEAST 20 business days(trading days) for the D to come off. with the holiday that would be today(12/28). lately they've been going 2-3 days over. could be longer.
holy crap! there is no such thing! come on. is this your first divy??
"Global will file the appropriate forms with Finra outlining the terms of the dividend distribution"
it don't happen till they do, and its been taking FINRA 8-10 weeks to approve these corp actions
I never said there wouldn't be a divy, it just ain't happening today like all of ya think!! ya been misinformed by your leaders!
classless, LOL, ask a couple questions and get slammed by the whyole board!! thats funny, ya know I've seen the way you people treat newcomers to this board. if its not what you want to here they get flamed. CLASSY
GOOd!!!!! then get off my back
class act board! ROTFL
I don't care about the company, what they've done, what their doing, what they're gonna do!!!!!!!!!!!
you can't comprehend what you read???
I'm here watching the divy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I told ya! I'm here watching the divy play out cause what the company told ya is BS!!! I'm not going anywhere.
normal divy 3-6 days and you should have your shares. let me know if ya get em.
I guess we'll find out in the next couple weeks who the DUMB ones are won't we. all we gotta do is wait it out. LOL
the divy hasn't happened yet, I'm guessing 3+ months before it does.
anyone wants to buy for the divy, hang on, you got lots of time before it actually happens.
who knows, maybe I decide to buy it before then. but, that'd be breaking a rule.:)
no, nellie, I don't. I don't buy restricted divys, I sell em. have had 25 in the past, all of em worthless, down to 9, been RS'd out of the rest. can't wait for the others to disappear.lol
I'm here watching this divy play out because what I read in the PR don't jive with the way divys go.
it is however very common for the company to come out with these dates and be wrong. FINRA approves any and all corp actions. it doesn't happen till they do. they haven't even been notified of this divy. hows it gonna happen,
we got ring side seats, pay attention, maybe you'll all learn something.
I guess we just see how it plays out. let me know when ya get them divy shares. I'm always interested in learning something new. don't think it's gonna happen here.
is that right? in 12 yrs of playing-watching splits and divys, I'd have to say your wrong!
really?
yeah I've read the PR's, meaningless, record date 12/23-meaningless until FINRA approves it. but wait, they haven't even been notified yet. LOL
my point exactly!! then how could it of happened today?
has anyone contacted their broker-corp actions today to see if this divy actually happened?
If it did, I would think they would know about it.
open all day today till 4:00 eastern, closed monday
yeah, first things first, I don't think the SEC will even talk to em about it till they are compliant. then they can get the ball rolling.
don't know that for a fact, but did have another company doing something similiar say that.
The process to go public via initial public offering (IPO) or Direct Public Offering (DPO) follows a prescribed path. While some elements can be handled simultaneously, there are a number of parts that must be done sequentially. As a result, it will often take between six and nine months for a private company to go public.

google it, all kinds of info on it.
I've seen em go over a year.
yeah, ,03 back then, prolly the one selling now. :)
lol, gotcha, frontloader
