Once cGMP is approved, what will be your new countdown?
My expectation is that the to be announced partnership between Celgene and Pharmacyte will fund any human clinical trials.
Why else would Pharmacyte change its entire focus from going head to head with CELG to this consolidation therapy idea.
I always get a chuckle from your "lack of imagination" posts.
Why don't you try this: 99 bottles of beer on the wall, then 98 and so on.
Just to change things up a bit.....
Is Pharmacyte the next Pharmacyclics?????? Play it again sam...lol
http://www.forbes.com/sites/antoinegara/2015/03/05/pharmacyclics-billionaire-top-trade-robert-duggan-abbvie/
Snippets from the article:
Duggan, who has seen his net worth rise roughly $1.2 billion since mid-February, according to Forbes’s Real Time Rankings of the world’s billionaires, is poised to lock in one of the pharmaceutical’s sector’s greatest-ever trades as AbbVie ABBV +0.00% buys Pharmacyclics, the company he controls, for $21 billion.
According to public filings, Duggan began buying Pharmacyclics shares in the fall of 2004, when the company’s stock was trading around $10 a share. By late 2005, Duggan amassed a 10% stake as the company’s shares plunged below $4 apiece. Then he sat tight as Pharmacyclics shares continued to tumble… First to $3 by early 2007… then to $2 a share within few months.
Seems like Christmas every week!!!!
What present will we get next??? maybe cGMP????
I think Diabetes will be the hot topic once a partnership is announced on the Pancreatic Cancer front. Pharmacyte's CEO was in Europe. I have to believe his itinerary included conversations with some European Pharms looking at our diabetes treatment. It is all good.....
This is why we need pharmacyte's treatment.....
http://www.bbc.com/news/health-34426926
Snippet from article:
As became painfully clear to his wife, Maggie, survival rates for pancreatic cancer have hardly changed in 40 years.
"When I looked into it, I was dismayed to discover no progress in terms of survival rate improving," she says.
Let me guess using fibonacci sequence your next number would be -.002.
LOL
Yes, loving it!!!
As you said, Celgene in a box.......Will the partnership/buyout be before, during or after the human trials???
So now Pharmacyte will not be targeting Celgene in the Phase 2B. Sounds like a partnership could be forthcomig.....
"announced today that its upcoming clinical trial will determine whether its pancreatic cancer treatment (Cell-in-a-Box® capsules + low-doses of ifosfamide) can satisfy a critical unmet medical need for patients with pancreatic cancer when the “gold standard” treatment is no longer effective at treating the disease. Currently there is no adequate alternative treatment available."
Bio,
Just curious. Since Pharmacyte's CEO is so button downed (which is good), why would he announce the ODD in europe before the paperwork is finalized?
What is the advatntage?
WOW!!!
I wonder what other surprises will be forthcoming???? Then again, it really isn't surprising....maybe something with diabetes????
Interesting that volume has dropped quite a bit since Pharmacyte hired the tracking company......no more games??
IMO, CELG gave go ahead to DVH and Delgado to work on Phase 2B.....
Time will tell.
What I want to know is why so quiet on diabetes....this is the real story...and IMO it is a good thing...
Will you give us a "final countdown"?
Don't forget all these message boards are being monitored by the company.
Will they bring a lawsuit against some board posters and their employers?
Our CEO does have a legal background.
IMO, looks like selling to fund the upcoming trials.
Nothing has changed for me. I do not know what is going on behind the scenes but would like Pharmacyte to move a little quicker and or update us on what is going on with time table. I did think the last pr was very explanative but for longs redundant and lacked confirmation we are moving forward with speed. Also, we need an update with diabetes, Viridis.
When something of quality goes on sale I buy it.
Pharmacyte has the best scientists in the world working on pancreatic cancer and diabetes.
I purchased more shares today.
Great article PW. All should read this again.
Here are some of my questions regarding Pharmacyte:
1.Will Celgene let Pharmacyte begin Phase 2B for Pancreatic Cancer with or without a partnership/deal? Will Celgene just sit on the sidelines and watch?
2. Anyone know what is going on with the Diabetes Consortium?
3. Any news on Viridis?
Artificial pancreas works well in home trial
Look at this article below and the graphic illustration included in the article. There are downsides of this system as noted in my snippet.
Which system would you want? This system or CIAB?

Artificial pancreas works well in home trial

Artificial pancreas works well in home trial
Study found improved diabetes management in a real-world setting.
(HealthDay)—The latest trial of an artificial pancreas system offers good news for people with type 1 diabetes—the system lowered blood sugar levels without increasing the risk of dangerously low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), a new British study says.
The testing, done at home by both adults and children, proved the system better than today's standard care for managing diabetes, the researchers found.
"This bigger outpatient, real-world trial shows that this potentially transformative therapy works for everyone. You can use it in the real world. And, it's safe. The number one thing is that it's safe," said Aaron Kowalski, vice president of research for JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Kowalski wasn't directly involved in the research. However, JDRF has provided funding for this system, as well as other artificial pancreas systems, in development.
However, it isn't fully automated (though some other systems in development are). People with type 1 diabetes still need to calculate how many carbohydrates are in the food they're eating. And, they must input that information into the software program, according to the study's senior author, Dr. Roman Hovorka, director of research at the University of Cambridge Metabolic Research Laboratories in the United Kingdom.
I think at this point it is obvious that human trials will not start till end of year or beginning of 2016. People need to accept this fact.
Another observation. This stock could be bought out at anytime. It will happen when you least expect it. Ignore all the noise by the naysayers.
Some people seem very nervous to me.
Remember a partnership or buyout could happen at any moment. It will happen when least expected. Will it be a US company or from the EU?
A lot of attacks on Pharmacyte the last few days on this board. Maybe something is going to happen soon. JMO
It is binary. Yes it is my opinion. No, it is not my opinion as I have insider knowledge.
Keep it Simple.....
Do you have inside information or is this your opinion?
Exactly!!!
Hildago did not come aboard to twiddle his thumbs. PMCB has been very quiet lately which I think is good news.
All the negative posters on this board have no more information than anyone else. If they did they would be subject to insider information laws and could be fined and sent to jail.
I look at the pps as an opportunity to buy more. One can surmize that we are getting close to some sort of announcement(s). Could be today or end of October. Just sit back and watch......
Good point. If you notice, many articles refer to our Veridis subsidiary as Medical Marijuna Services. Outdated and not from Pharmacyte.
Thank you PW. Can you post the entire article as I am not a member of BioWorld...thanks.
Sanofi And Evotec Align Forces To Develop Next Generation Therapies In Diabetes
Will Pharmacyte be next to collaborate?
Here are some tibits:
The goal of this collaboration will be to develop a beta cell replacement therapy based on functional human beta cells derived from human stem cells. In addition, Sanofi and Evotec will also use human beta cells for high-throughput drug screening to identify beta cell active small molecules or biologics.
Both companies will make significant contributions to this collaboration in terms of expertise, platforms and resources. The collaboration will further enhance and complement Sanofi's extensive diabetes portfolio and will extend Evotec's metabolic disease and stem cell-based drug discovery programs.
Thanks Peacefulwendy!!!
After a quick read here are my comments:
1. All 3 Phases on PC delayaed till first qtr 2016.
2. Diabeties human trials several years away.
Very disappointing -Hopefully the CEO will provide more details as to the details. I cannot imagine the delay was caused by not meeting cGMP.
In addition, the CEO recently mentioned in an article that human trials for diabetes might start in 2016. This is also delayed.
I understand this is a small bio but shareholders need to know what issues are causing these delays.
Rudy,
I think either a major partnership or buyout will occur between Sept-March time frame. Could be CELG, Bayer, PFE, Lily, Novo Nordisk etc. Really the list is endless....
If I was Pharmacyte management, I would spin off Veridis as an added bonus to the current shareholders. Also, some companies may want to avoid the MJ busineess at least for a while.
The partnership or buyout will happen when we least expect it.

Pfizer Eyeing Deals of Any Size in Quest to Find New Blockbuster
Well I have a good idea for Pfizer......
Here is a snippet:
Now Pfizer’s management team is looking for products or a business to help make up for patent expirations of what once were blockbuster drugs. And a deal could be big or small.

Here is another potential treatment that Veridis (sub of Pharmacyte) could go after and its a big and growing market:
Snippet from article:
As published in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, cannabidol, or CBD, a cannabinoid found in cannabis plants and the cannabinoid not responsible for the psychoactive effects of marijuana -- that's tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC -- was found to heal broken femurs in rats in just eight weeks. Researchers claimed that not only did the study demonstrate that the rat femurs healed faster, but it also appeared to show that CBD helped bones mineralize better. Thus, scientists postulated that CBD could be a drug worth looking into for the treatment of osteoporosis.

Will this happen to PharmaCyte's 2/B pancreatic human trial???
Bristol-Myers Halts Trial Early After Success in Kidney Cancer

Just another feather in Pharmacyte's cap. Running out of room on that cap. LOL.
I wonder if Celgene knew this was coming?????
r. Hidalgo has participated in the clinical development of more than 30 novel anticancer agents, including studies for the current gold standard for the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer, the combination chemotherapy of gemcitabine and Abraxane.
That work history is significant.... especially the part about "has participated in the clinical development of more than 30 novel anticancer agents, including studies for the current gold standard for the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer, the combination chemotherapy of gemcitabine and Abraxane." It matters, because those are the therapies PMCB is explicitly trying to outperform in its current Phase 2b study of Cell-in-a-Box delivery of ifosfamide. What better way to do that than ask one of the people who helped create the standard you're trying to top.
Looks like Celgene has plenty of money. Could Pharmacyte be next???
Celgene to buy Receptos for $7.2 billion; gains promising drug
Here is a snippet:
Celgene has been on something of a deal spree in recent months. The Receptos move comes just two weeks after Celgene said it would invest $1 billion in Juno Therapeutics to gain access to its cancer immunotherapy portfolio in a deal that would allow Celgene to buy up to 30 percent of Juno over the next decade.

Congratulations to Thomas Liquard who finally listed on the corporate web site under BOD. (no picture though).
Why so late especially with these new facilities. They should have been built with cGMP in mind......What would be the delay.......That would be embarassing for the company when they targeted 3rd and 4th qtr. What do you know that we dont know.....
This post I am going to keep.
This will be worth a laugh when a partnership or buyout comes.
Wait, I am already laughing.......
