When constellation paid $48 per share, it came with a huge bonus of 3 year warrants....
but still, it is pretty much like $64, except STZ needs to pay at the end of October.....not now...and you don't get warrants - the warrants kind of give STZ a decent fraction of any upside WEED sees in the next three years at a discount
but it is pretty much the same deal, get it while it lasts!!!
that is awesome!!! Wait a little while for the price to come down here before you buy more WEED, that way both you and the shorts win!
that call would have been more valuable a few days ago, especially combined with a willingness to take action
Hey buddies, I don't want to sound any alarms, but it looks like Canopy Growth Corporations market valuation is shrinking!!!! Is this some sort of price discovery action happening?
Can someone please explain what is going on here - is this the institutional consolidation?
HYPE!!
Buy CGC because the price keeps going up!
Institutional consolidation! This corporation can be yours for the low, low price of $14 billion dollars (actually that is for half the corporation, the other half was bought by STZ for $5 billion, now, $5 more in three years)
This right here is a great price for a nice buy, buy it up because Constellation Brands does - you are getting just about the same deal they did....easy money !
Investment champions!!!
Where is this headed in the short term? I haven't been paying attention since I sold all my stock
i will be okay.....just taking a break, I did alright for the time I played the game......just not comfortable paying this price, hope everyone sees the price they want to see one day.....lot can happen, hope for the best, prepare for the worst.....good luck to all
STZ shares outstanding 167.86M
Price about $215 USD
CGC share price about $65 CAD
numbers of WEED shares, warrants and debt convertable to weed shares that STZ has access to over the next three years - 291,416,802

1.7 discount WEED shares for every STZ share majority of which has less than $50.40 strike price....
about $83 USD per STZ share at these prices......
we will see, I don't like it at this price.....I could be wrong and it won't hurt me in the slightest.....this is investing, not baseball, I don't get a strike unless I swing and miss - I don't like this pitch, I am not swinging
call me crazy, but when I look at the chart this seems to me one of the worst opportunities to invest in this corporation's history.....here I was thinking that I was the opportunistic buyer years ago.....are you telling me I should have waited for a day like today?
This is really healthy.....healthy movement today, healthy shedding of unsubstantiated market value, smart money taking the cash and getting a better deal on the equity via STZ, healthy stuff
Smart money selling, must be those institution s getting rid of the stock they bought up in the $40s
I just feel bad for the bag holders, some poor basterd bought all my shares, holding a bag of red...
If you.like this at $65, maybe take a look at STZ balance sheet and deals....do some.math, use your brain, could make you money
well I believe just because of basic economics, the fossil fuel industry is f...ed, humanity not so much - I don't doubt that in the future there may be a major climate change, i think that is already here....I think the chances that billions of people will die as a direct result of climate change are pretty fair.....but humans are too adaptive, too many resources at our disposal, our PV cells produce much more energy over their lifetime than it takes to create one, and they can be recycled indefinitely, and would do way, way better in space than here on earth...there will not be an extinction event because of energy or climate....
i have two shares on this other account, I don't care though, just hope the corporation survives and the the world transfers to a renewable energy infrastructure.....
Last night I went out to the bars and schit, drank alcohol with my new girlfriend.....and I woke up today and I am like WTF? seriously, why do people drink that shit? Pissed the bed....I never do that with weed! It is stupid, and then I thought to myself, shit I shouldn't have sold all my beautiful stock
but i did sell it, and right now with issues with the wife, i can't actually access our direct investment account, she changed the password
all in all, most people in this world are assholes, alcohol is liquid schit, it is all one big hassle and the only silver lining is I got a bag of weed in my pocket
alcohol just sucks, and I really could use a time machine
Just my opinion, but we are years ahead of schedule
45us
that is weird, I have made trades that have resulted in my portfolio outperforming the result of buying and holding WEED, and I never felt sad about leaving anyone behind....
I don't care where the price goes, I say I buy it all back at a profit by November at the latest....either it hits $59.5 between now and then, or I was wrong.....we will see
a more accurate statement - all sales are buys, all buys are sales
If Bruce thinks getting $48.60 a share is a good thing for WEED a couple months from now, then why wouldn't getting $66.66 be good for me right now?
Honest question for all, how you justify that? And if you can justify that I thank you in advance for playing
that may be, but if true, what is making the institutions so stupid? Where were they at $2? They wait to $60? Thinking on timelines is all well and good, but what is the point if you end up buying something for more than it is worth.....
i don't get it, but I really appreciate the market and it's ridiculousness, I love all the intellectual dishonesty, people drawing lines on charts, accumulation, institutions, blah, blah, blah
I should just sit back and enjoy, not look a gift horse in the mouth
i mean really, think about it....Bruce Linton and the board of directors just sold half the company for less than $48.60 a share - if he is acting in our best interests, if he is a good CEO - than he is getting good value at that price
the big sellers are not retail investors, its WEED itself
do you believe that investors are truly accumulating though? I believe, that 100% of WEED was owned last week, 100% is owned today, 100% will be owned tomorrow....you could say that a special class of investors are net accumulators, call them 'institutional' investors if you want - I for one have always believed there is zero difference to me whether a share is owned by an institution or a person....who owns it doesn't matter, only what it is matters.....jmo
what exactly do you mean about 'accumulation'
i think it will be closer to 9:30.....how about the price collapsing on relatively low volume? what's up with that? I don't get it, who in their right mind thinks today is a good day to invest here, where were they 2 or 3 weeks ago?
when the ship comes in, make sure you unload the precious cargo and put it in the bank
that could be, could be this goes to $300 tomorrow, and I only captured a fraction of the overall performance from the time i started up until tomorrow......
market will let us know, I am happy with the results so far, and I would be happy to invest again at the price of my choosing
I sold every share I held last week for over $66.66 CAD per share, and under no circumstances would I ever pay more than $59.50 CAD to buy them back
Nice, nice.......price discovery at it's finest....wish you the best, bottom line if there is $25 billion in capital out there that wants this at these prices, well I may never own WEED again, happy with the result as is though, its up to the market now
I love watching the market get milked while I am sitting on cash, I just love it
do you feel like I do?
actually now I cannot trade or invest as I please, long story....nuts got clipped
"Heav'n has no rage like love to hatred turn'd / Nor Hell a fury, like a woman scorn'd."
alright, i apologize if I offended, I don't read all the posts anymore, just putting in my two cents, you are not the only one that is so excited about this....just the post that got me thinking this morning is all
maybe i just feel left out, it seems I never have all my chips on the table when it peaks....but most times I get em back at a price i like - it is all good, good luck to all
What is so exciting about WEED hitting $74.45? I thought it was much more exciting when it dropped below $1.60....
It seems odd to me, we all know that an investment becomes ever more unattractive the higher the price. To hold is effectively the same thing as a buy in my opinion....to hold as the price rises about $74 to me is the same decision as to buy at $74....your return on investment since that moment has been negative, it is a fail....a failure I had no part in
If the stock is going to go somewhere in a few years - call it X, in a few years it will be available to buy and sell at X, then the return on investment from here would be the the difference between the stock price and X, divided by the stock price....obviously the larger the denominator the lower your performance going forward.....
I wouldn't go so far as to call a high stock price 'exciting' - I would call it rewarding....it is not an exciting opportunity for investment, but a rewarding opportunity for divestment
jmo
that is fine
but if STZ has 169m shares outstanding, well it is easy to see, that if you buy a share of STZ, that sort of comes with a free CGC share, actually more than one share.....
So you could subtract the share price of WEED from the share price of STZ, then look at what their dividend delivers.....I don't know
for me I will hold cash for a bit, just not feeling it right now, but I think STZ is going to outperform CGC from this point right here, for damn sure, almost guaranteed
My research is pretty basic, I figure those 105m shares are worth about 7.3 billion, the 88.5m warrants at $50.4 is worth another 1.6 billion, at least...plus there are more warrants that have some value I can't estimate.
So bottom line, at the end of October STZ will put out $5.1b for securities that would be worth more than 9b on the market today...this is conservative estimates.
Now I see that type of perceived profit is a significant fraction of STZ market value, so I like stZ
Thank you, but it's no where near where I would be invested today.....would rather own some STZ at these prices, but decided to hold cash for a week or two and see where this goes
Beautiful day! This is what they call a short squeeze
I never understood the idea of losing on the stock market, I would think you would buy at a price you really like, so if the price drops, don't you like it more????
To me, that is not investment but some sort of speculation go wrong
I sold all, was a good investment, all in all I made about $100,000 CAD profit per year for 3.5 years....started with a $1,300 initial investment before moving into straight credit card cash advances.
I would say, based on how this corporation is capitalized at this time, that a return to $40 CAD is extremely unlikely
2 to 62 is up 3000%, right? Truth is I have done way way better than that
