Thanks for all of the responses, let me just give a little background on me and this stock for those who are interested. I am currently in college, I am a finance major. I love the stock market and I know that I want my job to be around that once I graduate. I decided to open up an account this summer to try and become a little bit experienced and somewhat knowledgeable of the markets. Let me tell you this has been quite a roller coaster, and I love it. When I first opened my account I had my boss at work sit me down and try to talk me into buying KGC, which is a gold mining company based out of Canada. It seemed like a safe investment, but I am young so I am able to take on much more risk than sitting in gold, which doesn't seem to thrive well in a bull market anyhow. So I didn't have too much of a strategy when I started out. I started out swing trading and momentum trading and rode LOCO for a bit while it surged and a few others that did somewhat well. Sounds good in all but I lost about 30% of my money before investing in SLTD. They forget to tell you in college textbooks about MM's, bashers, pumpers, Bear raids, buying on hype selling on news, NOT TO BE AN EMOTIONAL TRADER, etc. Which I have learned through actually trading/investing. I have fallen for pumpers and bashers and it has cost me money but I am learning and this is stuff you won't learn listening to a professor lecture about Time Value of Money.
I actually came across SLTD on a message board when it had that 20% surge a few weeks ago, I quickly researched the company and 2 things sold me...
1.) The financials...The income statement, Bal. sheet, and Cash Flow has improvement QoQ and astoundingly this last quarter. So that got my attention.
2.) JAMES NELSON...Read this man's BIO on the website... "The companies led by Mr. Nelson have created exceptional returns for investors – sometimes over 20 times the original investment." ....So that sold me as well.
Now when I bought...I bought $900 worth at 18.89, then just the other day I bought $500 worth at 13. I know this is chump change to most of you out there but I am a poor college student and I hope this stocks really gets going soon because I don't have much money in my checking account as it is and I may have to start cashing out on my investment here in a few months....People think I am foolish to invest in a penny stock and some people don't take me seriously because of that...I'm just hoping to prove them all wrong...Glad to join the board.
