Manipulation??? I guess Dror wants to go to Ruth Christ Steakhouse for dinner. Oh wait with only 7.3 million shares he will have to cancel since that did not raise enough.
This company has a lot going for it and we should know that for sure by next week after the Las Vegas show.
Very intuitive. Got some evidence.
88 for you thanks
Should we buy now or sell what we bought at a lost?
In my opinion the facts of the original alert and my own DD say this is still a great trade because:
The price is lower.
Meeting in Las Vegas taking place.
Announcements of deals coming.
SS still the same.
Company makes money.
All stocks are gambles, more so in penny land, but if we are going to jump into a stock what more can we ask for than what is going on in VPOR.
I bought more yesterday to average down.
Of course, as with any trades, dilution, dumping and manipulation are the factors than can work against us but I do not think that is going on here since the company makes money, a rarity in penny stocks.
It is very disappointing that the investor in this and all pennies has to battle everyone in trying to make a profit. I always try to figure out why a price falls apart when it looks so good. It can be for any number of reasons from just the way it trades to manipulation, dumping, insider selling, pre-loading and others. But the one that gets my goat is when actions that should be controlled by our financial regulators are not.
"t" trades have been occurring in this stock for the last 2 days and they brought the stock down. Here is some info on these types of trades:
Incredible Penny Stocks: What is a Form T-Trade?
There is much confusion and rumor regarding “T Trades” in the penny stock market. Nasdaq Pink Sheet stocks often close at a certain price and, within 3-10 minutes after the closing bell, will show a large final trade that gets labeled as an “after hours” trade. Simply put, this is an inaccurate description of that trade.
To understand how this trade works, one must understand the role of the market maker. The most frustrating aspect of investing in the pennies, is market maker manipulation of the stock price. Anyone that claims this manipulation doesn’t happen truly does not understand the OTC Market. Market makers are in place to “control” the price of a stock and, theoretically, to ensure that the market reacts properly to supply and demand for a certain stock. Unfortunately, when large sums of money and a lack of regulation are involved, more often than not, there is manipulation that suits the needs of certain investors or the market makers themselves. After all, they are in business to make money as well. If the average investor is purchasing stocks in the OTC Market, that investor is truly at the mercy of the market makers involved in the purchase and sale of that security.
When researching this article, The response from the SEC defined a “Form T Trade” a “trade reporting form used by broker-dealer members of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (FINRA) to report equity trades executed either in the OTC market or during extended hours trading. Recent amendments to FINRA rules will expand the types of situations in which Form T is to be used, but they are not yet in effect.” The response also recommended contacting FINRA. Notice the first portion of the response. “either in the OTC Market or…” Once again, it is confirmed by the SEC that ”after hours” trades do not exist in the Pinks.
FINRA was much less transparent in their response and essentially spewed the same limited information regarding T Trades that is available on their website. None of which, accurately reflects why these trades occur in the OTC Markets. (http://www.finra.org/web/groups/industry/@ip/@reg/@notice/documents/notices/p123750.pdf)
Trying to decipher the meaning of these trades with the limited information that is available on the subject led down several dark paths. Clearly, the average investor is not meant to understand the concept or its rules. Even more disconcerting is the second part of the SEC message “Recent amendments to FINRA rules will expand the types of situations in which Form T is to be used, but they are not yet in effect.” That means there is even less transparency about this mysterious T Trade.
After months of due diligence, there are a few poorly publicized uses for a T Trade. The most important factor here is that the only requirement of market makers by FINRA is that they must report all trades in a day. They are not required to do so when the actual trade occurs.
To avoid creating “an unbalanced market”, market makers often do not report certain trades during the day to the public and then use a T Trade not to “scare” investors into thinking a market for that stock is going in one direction or the other at the spurring of one large investor.
If a market maker wants to accumulate a large amount of a stock in one trading day, that market maker may actually not report any of the trades that occurred until the trading day has ended so as not to alert the market to the collection. This practice is completely legal under the FINRA rules of the OTC Markets so long as the trade is reported at the end of the day.
To execute a Market on Close” order, a market maker may have an order to purchase the stock at a certain price at the end of the trading day. This is the most unlikely scenario because it needs to be assured that someone selling the stock and someone buying that stock are agreeing upon a price. Simply put, this is more likely with insider buying and selling.
The T Trade that the public sees is nothing more than one or all of the above scenarios. The T Trade reported at the end of the day can be from one market maker or many involved market makers. It can be a single purchase price but is usually an average of all of the previously unreported purchases from that business day.
Penny stocks are an exciting and lucrative business. As most everyone will tell you, it is not for the weak of heart. There is definite money to be made in the OTC Markets and more penny stock millionaires are made every day. But the best way to win the game is to know the rules!
One additional fact surfaced about market makers while researching T Trades. Did you know that market makers are not required to honor their offer price? That is correct, because the OTC market is essentially a “best offer” market. If a buyer meets the asking price for a security, the market maker can, and often does, decide to rescind the offer, not sell the security and adjust the selling price.
Happy Trading.

Thanks Chrion. The first site came up deleted. I saw the second on the VPOR board. I note your points but since I know very little of stock charts and their implication, I do not see how things like the RSI are determine. how a squeeze is setting up. how a bottom has reached. Some chartist say we are in a channel. a cup is being formed, a downward or upward spiral, a flag etc and I have no idea about them and their implications.
I guess I am asking for what clay does but with the reasons for picking VPOR.
Sorry if I am asking for too much but it would really help. It seems people see different things in the same chart and since you guys all agreed on VPOR, as you did with the previous picks, I guess this would be an excellent one to analyze for me.
No problem with the comment and I agree about the board
Thanks and it will be appreciated.
Thank you BOS and I see the vol candles but I guess I am asking a question that is in essence why would you invest in this or another stock. I hear people talk about pennants, channels, flags, fibs and I could go on and on. That is why I wanted someone to do a chart analysis of VPOR since I did a ton of DD on it but no charting. It seems some people believe and live by charts. I think they are just tools. News trumps all and I love to be in stocks that have a forward looking catalyst, a real product, significant events coming and a favorable chart would make this an absolute no brainer.
VPOR will fly I truly believe.
I have been trading for over 40 years and it the seventies you had to buy a lot of these issues by calling a broker in Denver. I was in oil companies, gold stocks, a pharma as well as others. DD was reading the pump articles and narrowing down the group and throwing a dart. Made no money. There was no PC's, internet, IHUB etc. There was a newspaper I subscribed to but little else. Brokers would call you and have the tip of the week and ask how many shares do you want.
My main trading was on the big boards and the pennies was gambling I still consider it gambling but with learning who to trust and who can do good DD (this Board) you have a much better chance of hitting the winner or place horse.
I am a Diabetic and take insulin.
If only you could be at times
Thank you and I do enjoy this immensely. I get aggravated by the unappreciative and those that post for the sake of destroying a company. In the penny market there are a lot of scams, but I would never go on a board where people are invested and hoping to make a couple of dollars, although wishing for millions, bash a stock. Today I saw the claws come out on the VPOR board. It disgusts me.
your a good man or woman
Thank you. I thought everyone went to bed!!!
If this runs like before and as it might with franchise deals, new products etc, who cares about 100% increase or your belief in front loading. I am beginning to think that a lot of people use that term and do not really know what they are saying.
I do not believe that the people who come up with the picks, on this or any board, are front loading. I think they are entitled to buy shares before announcing it to the public. Do you expect them to announce it and then chase it? Do you want them to pay more than the people they give it to? I do not.
Front loading happens, and most understand this as a negative and even a personal attach on ones integrity when accused of it, is when a paid pumper ( paid with shares from the company) working on behalf of a company(pump and dump), a firm that is going to push the stock over the next 3 days (to sell shares that own for various reasons), when insiders load up etc
You can tell front loading , most of the time, when the volume skyrockets over a few days before whatever is going to happen does begin so the company can sell shares, the insiders can make a bundle or the hedge fund/company running the marketing can sell their shares. I do not see that in VPOR.
Just my 2 cents.
I truly love this board and the people on it and the mods. Very positive and great info. I can understand the DD that was put out on VPOR by Sporty and agree it provides substantial info to cause one, me for sure, to invest in the company.
I listened to Clay Traders explanation of the technical on VPOR but he does not provide a reason to buy or not to buy.
Could one of you mods, that I hold in esteem, provide an annotated chart with explanation as to why this was the pick from a chart point of view?
I think it would be extremely beneficial to me and all sport report followers.
Thank you in advance for all you guys do.
Mods how about a sticky for post #38517
thanks and it is coming
