I just can't figure out why half the plant dies and the other half is fine for a while. It's almost like I have two different main plants and I know I don't.
Weird.
What a day! So that I don't have to write 20 private messages I'll just do it here (and answer the PM's as I can).
We had to call an ambulance for Terri's sister Claudia yesterday morning because she was in severe pain and every time she tried to get up and walk she felt faint.
Bottom line is she had some type of internal bleeding between Sunday night/Monday morning. They think the cancer ate into a blood vessel in her liver and that caused the bleed. She lost 5 grams of blood in 5 days and apparently that's a lot. They've given her 4 pints from late yesterday afternoon to this morning trying to get her volume up so they can get her pressure up enough to give her enough pain meds to make her feel better. It wasn't a nice day.
The plan last night was to transfer her to University of MD hospital in Baltimore because they're better equipped to handle another bleed if she has one. This morning the plan seems to be to get her comfortable and have hospice involved so we can bring her home. So I'm not sure what is going on now. Terri is on her way back up to the hospital and I'm home with Kam waiting to figure out what to do.
Just wanted to update you guys...those of you that are so inclined please keep us in your prayers.
Be back in a little bit guys.
It is.
Yeah it's pretty bad. Even with daily watering it didn't do much good.
Yeah I remember him. Thanks Gail!
LOLOL I've been bitching about those things too. Only it's not as fun when no one here cares. At least you guys can relate.
Howdy! Did I miss anything good? There's way too many posts to know.
LOL
My whole garden is pretty much dead. The Jalapeños are doing great though. I've picked a couple dozen already and there are lots more growing. Funny how bugs don't bother with them LOL My bell and gypsy peppers SEEM to be doing ok...we'll see if they can ripen without rotting. My new favorite is the Fajita Bell. Hot...but not so hot that it burns your face off. I sliced one and put it on a turkey sandwich and MAN was it good!
Morning Janice. She turned 69 the end of May. She's not doing well this morning. Terri just got to work at 8:30 and now we're waiting for Terri to come home and take her to the hospital. I offered but of course she said no. Stupid to make Terri drive an hour to get here when I'm right here...especially when she looks like I should be calling an ambulance.
Hellllllooooooooooooooo
I promised KC I would stop in and say hi tonight so here I is!!
Thanks everyone for worrying about me...that's very sweet of all of you (even you Andy you ole curmudgeon LOL)...I'm fine...just busy and mostly lazy! And caught up in the olympics too. I know it's silly but I LOvE synchronized swimming LOL!!
My garden is pretty much dead. The cuke died a while ago...the super 100's came up to about 4 feet tall (all 8 of them!) but never filled out. I think they're dead too...although they flowered they never set fruit. Some of my peppers are doing ok and the brussel sprouts look like they might be ok in the fall (if it ever gets here). Both my Roma and the Beefy-whatever it was called are dead. I think. LOL They keep getting new growth but the spider mites (or something) pounce on it within a day or two. My cantaloupes are only half dead. It's weird. I had 2 growing pretty good but they all of a sudden fell off. There WERE 5 or 6 smaller ones but they're dead too now. I'm so sad about it all.
We're having a little bit of drama with Terri's sister Claudia. She was diagnosed with liver cancer around the 4th of July and she JUST got to see an oncologist last week. The news wasn't good...there's only a small part of her liver working and there's nothing they can do for her. They gave her a year or so...providing they can clear up the blood clots she has in her legs. Being as she stopped taking the medicine for them today I'm not sure what's going to happen with that either. They might have to put her back in the hospital to get it resolved. I know she's feeling bad and all but she's still stumbling around being mean to me so it's hard for me to drum up any sympathy for her at the moment.
I will try to get here tomorrow to chat and maybe catch up on some of the 5000+ posts (might as well be 5000 cause I'll never catch up with what's here LOL). Until then...I'm off to finish watching these STUPID closing ceremonies.
Have a great night all and thanks again for the concern
Happy birthday G!!!!
That looks yummy
Oh that's right.
102 here tomorrow. But the goodbye summer crickets are chirping away so there's hope! And Sassy found a whole locust shell the other day (one of the HUGE ones) so I'm assuming they're crawling out already.
Ever watched the British one? It's called Hustle and it's even better!
So it's NOT just me? That makes me feel better. I'm still new to this and don't know what to expect. But I'm learning!
LOL Oh now I think I remember you talking about him...is he the one who bit someone on the ass at a party or something?
Well whatever is wrong with him I hope he's put away for a very long time. Or they could just shoot him and save the tax payers money...either way works for me.
I think it's the soil I put in the buckets. Miracle Grow and Top Soil mixture...with a little bit of seed soil to give it some air.
My tomatoes are dying off too. Every third or fourth stem is turning yellow and when I touch it it falls off. And also on my super 100's they have the every few stems thing as well as the leaves on the ends of some of them are turning brown and crispy.
I just don't know what to do.
I have a class at 8...didn't realize it was so late...catch you guys later!
How did a pig get on top of the fridge? LOL!
I had a nice argument with Comcast a week or so ago...got $100 a month knocked off our bill and only lost HBO and a few other channels we never watched anyway. I only watched HBO for True Blood so it really wasn't worth paying for. And they changed a few of our boxes but that was no big deal either. I was happy with the savings and they were happy to keep or business.
I forgot. LOL DId you see the court room appearance of the movie shooter...if he's not schizophrenic I'll eat my hat. You could almost see him listening to different voices in his head.
LOLOL That's just mean!
Good luck
It's weird. It looks kind of like teeth marks but it doesn't go all the way through and I only see what looks like a skinny stink bug on it.
Awwww....look at MY little Max LOL!
That sounds like fun. I bet the elders will have a great time!
Good luck with it all pal...she's lucky to have you
I used to tan pretty easily...these days I could take a walk ON the sun and not get a drop of tan.
I think 95° is supposed to be our high today. It's very very humid out there now.
It's weird but the only thing I can tolerate MW on is a steak and cheese. There was a local sub shop that used it and I loved their sandwiches...but anything else I like Mayo.
Did you see my pepper picture? Does it look like BER to you?

LOL!
I've done that too. But I usually have a few choice words first if there's someone around.
LOLOL!
We're still under what we should have I'm sure. Supposed to get some more storms today and there's a chance of rain all week.
HEY NOW! I have dibbs on little Max!!! Back it up Flob!
ooooo I can't do the Miracle whip...gives me a rash (not really but that's what I told Terri when we first met so she would buy Hellman's LOL!)
Wasn't bad. Rainy weather but we needed it.
