Sounds like Elizabeth Warren
The letter states as of 9/30/2019, the GSEs can keep up to $25B for Fannie and $20B for Freddie, so it allows them to keep this qtr profits, but doesn’t end the sweep
. Some have stated they can retain $25B per year. I believe this is incorrect. The letter agreement only allows Fannie to retain up to $25B. Which means at current business projections they will have reached that number in about 1 year. In which we will need another letter increasing the number. This letter Is very open ended and shady. Sorry, I am long with most the rest of you, I barely slept last night in anticipation. Mnuchin is a POS and needs to be brought down. I have begun writing and tweeting the president daily to have him removed. I encourage all that can, to do the same.
Why does it say div rate increases to 12% at end of section 1(c)?
Kind of odd MC did not date his acceptance.
How can they say shares are up 2.5% on Monday. There is no premarket for OTC.
It sounds like there are some of these secret documents, still undisclosed (500)?! Are these executive privilege, or classified.. Could Trump release them?
If Calabria an Mnuchin choose to take the NWS this month against a 5th circuit appeal ruling, Pelosi and Schiff will have a field day, and just addd fuel to the fire
You are correct. It appears they have 90 days for writ of certiorari.
It’s amazing how much I’ve learned about our court system and government while following this stock.
Most of it discouraging.
I thought I read 45 days. I’ll do a little research..
To appeal en banc decision to Supreme Court, the government only has a certain amount of time to do so. Does anyone know when that is? I thought I read , They only have until end of Oct. anyone have a definitive date .
Unbelievable, the writer of this article says the firms still owe $200B from original bailout. Everyone else understands it’s been paid back. I used to have some respect for Forbes, not anymore. This is the kind of crap that has the public clamoring about the greedy shareholders.
Awesome, great job, and thank you.
Thanks
Let him know, that if he screws common shareholders, I will move heaven and earth to see he loses Arizona next fall. Arizona is now considered a swing state, believe it or not. I will vote ,campaign ,blog , and sway friends and family.
If he is fair to shareholders I will do everything I possibly can to see Trump wins Arizona. Including donating healthily to his campaign here. I am not asking Trump do anything nefarious, just be fair to shareholders of Fannie and Freddie.
Thanks
Sorry I’m just now responding. Got busy with family matters. Anyway, your questions are good ones, but I just don’t have the background or knowledge to answer with any degree of accuracy. Sorry , Maybe others here can respond.
Good luck,
Go Fannie.......
You forgot the biggest douche of them all, Timothy POS Geithner. If I saw him on the street, I’d punch him right in the face...screw the consequences.
A little bit off subject but, I’ve read where this ruling puts Jay Powell in same position as Calabria, and therefore subject to firing by president at will. Have you heard that? Is there any substance to that?
The only appeal left is the Supreme Court and they can choose not to hear it. The Supreme Court only accepts less then 5% of cases presented to them. Last year they turned down a similar case.
How does this work? If Ackmans suit wins say...$25 a share. Does anyone owning a share also get the $25? Or do I have to file my own lawsuit?
Thanks, mr O
I appreciate your level headed, unbiased, and fair analysis.
Hope you don’t mind me calling out to you on this board, occasionally.

I think you’re in the ballpark.
I actually read the opinion. I’m not a lawyer, what I think it says, is, the shareholders have a right to some relief/compensation and NWS must stop. Now it goes back to the Original judge/court for that to be tried and worked out Kinda scary we’re going back to same judge that denied it originally, to try and get some fair relief/remedy/compensation.
Remember this is just my understanding. I may be misreading it. I would imagine settlement talks begin speeding up.
I’m somewhat disappointed that only 9 judges see it our way, 7 judges disagreed. Blows me away that 7 of our supposed highest judicial scholars, think it’s okay to just take all profits from two solid highly functioning, and, profitable businesses here in the USA...baffling and very concerning.
If CNN could figure a way to spin this to make The President look bad, they would be all over it.
I was wondering the same thing!!!
Yes!! Mr. Obiterdictum are you out there. Could use your help deciphering these 100+ pages. For me most important is....Does en banc ‘stop’ the NWS? If so, is there direction to repay money above original $187B given. And are there penalties the Treasury would be expected to pay?
Thank you in advance.
Dax
Does relief mean Treasury has to payback all money paid above the original $187B.?
What does it mean, that count 2 and 3 are affirmed?
This is last page of opinion. I’m not an attorney, but I believe it sides with plaintiff that NWS is not allowed. Remanded back to circuit to rule according to this opinion...thoughts????

Although setting aside agency action is not subject to the four-factor
injunction standard, it remains an equitable remedy. Doing so here is like rescinding a contract. “A transfer by an agent, trustee, or other fiduciary

No. 17-20364
outside the scope of the transferor’s authority, or otherwise in breach of the transferor’s duty to the principal or beneficiary, is subject to rescission and restitution.”28 The Third Amendment is the smallest independent agreement that caused the Shareholders’ injury, so that is what to rescind. When a contract is rescinded, restitution is generally in order, and the plaintiff may also need to return benefits it received.29 I would recognize the district court’s authority, on remand, to decide the parties’ rights and duties to restore their rightful position. So I don’t share Judge Haynes’s concern that this remedy resembles a “pick-and-choose approach” and grants Shareholders a windfall. ***
The Shareholders are entitled to declaratory judgment that the Third Amendment exceeded FHFA’s lawful authority because the agency adopted it outside the President’s supervision.30 This analysis also supports an injunction vacating the Third Amendment.31 In light of recent developments, I would remand Count IV to the district court for entry of a judgment consistent with this opinion.32

I was able to tweet Fox News Sunday, and it is showing. I am a novice with Twitter, but what I did was google Fox News Sunday. Go down about halfway, you’ll see Mnuchin picture on the right , click on that , and that’s where I posted/tweeted.
The point is, Mnuchin is on fox Sunday with C Wallace, this Sunday. The markets are open the next day..Monday. You can tweet fox Sunday questions.i beg everyone with a twitter account to tweet your interest in mr Mnuchin talk about GSES and what his go forward plans are. The more people to contact them the better chance the GSE discussion happens. I have already tweeted to Fox.

The Wall? Just a guess.
If this is real, and Trump is fair to shareholders, you bet I will donate to his re-election.
Thank you for your reply Chief Justice Roberts.
Do you think govt will appeal to Supreme Court if they lose. If they do, do you think the Supreme Court will take the case. They only accept less then 1 per cent of cases sent to them.
Can’t find anything on oral arguments in Sweeney court for 8/23. Can you please provide a source?
Thx
Do the judges converse and try to impress their thoughts to each other ,or , do they go off and make decision independently?
