Company may build up to 10,000 of the patent-pending systems over the next 5-years
CORONA, Calif., March 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a leader in the design and development of custom kiosks and automated retailing units, announced today that they have signed a manufacturing agreement with Opticwash, creators of the world's only self-service kiosk dedicated to the cleaning of eyewear and jewelry.
The Opticwash kiosk cleans and sanitizes eyeglasses, sunglasses and jewelry to perfection in a matter of moments.
The system uses Reverse Osmosis water, which is filtered to the point where it has no minerals or organics, and can attack and absorb dirt on contact. Additionally, an ultraviolet light source kills up to 99.9% of bacteria.
The Opticwash system began development in 2009 and has had great success during beta testing. The Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) participated in the beta testing with 7 kiosks in 3 different bases throughout Florida.
Opticwash kiosks have also proved successful in 5 shopping malls in Florida, the Wyndham visitor center at the Emerald Grande (2013 Hotel of the year), two marina ship stores, two Airport Fixed Based Operators (FBOs) and other locations.
The Opticwash system has won many awards, including three gold medals at INPEX - America's Largest Invention and New Product Expo - for best design, best cleaning product, and most entertaining system, plus it earned the Grand Prix Award for overall best new product.
"Just as 20 years ago no one would have ever thought to buy water in a bottle, we believe that soon, most people won't even think about cleaning their eyewear with a cloth or shirt," said Bryan Myers, CEO of Opticwash. "The market potential is enormous and we are pleased to have partnered with AVT, and look forward to their contributions in manufacturing and development as our company continues on this remarkable growth path."
Germs! Don't touch that!
The average human touches their face between 3,000 and 4,000 times a day. With the outbreak of the flu virus and other germ-related aliments, having a clean pair of glasses and sanitized jewelry is essential.
Over 4 billion people worldwide need or wear some type of corrective glasses. There are over 350 million pairs of sunglasses and over 150 million pairs of corrective lenses sold every year. Over $18 billion dollars is spent on eyewear each year, yet there was no easy way to remove the bacteria around the nose bridge or frame areas, or protect eyewear from the scratches that hand-cleaning causes… until now.
The Opticwash kiosk drives customer traffic while generating ongoing revenues, and is perfect for most locations, including shopping malls, schools, airports, student unions, hotels, bookstores, and optical centers.
"We are excited to be involved with this great company and this amazing kiosk," said Shannon Illingworth, Founder and Chairman of AVT, Inc. "Opticwash will create an entire new industry, and develop a powerful, worldwide brand in the process," he added. "We are proud to have been selected as their manufacturing partner and look forward to helping them achieve their goals."

AVT is the company behind some of the most innovative machines in the world..
CORONA, Calif., March 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a leader in custom vending machines and automated retailing systems was featured on the "Money for Lunch" Radio Program, hosted by Bert Martinez.
The host commented on AVT's success and longevity. "You've been doing this for 14 years, you've had some consistent growth. What makes your company different?" Martinez asked Shannon Illingworth, Founder and Chairman of AVT.
"We are not just a manufacturer - we are a technology company, a software company, and a design integrator," Illingworth replied. "We create solutions and are well diversified."
The host mentioned the Rug Doctor system - the world's first automated carpet cleaning rental kiosk. "Rug Doctor wanted a self-service platform to provide customers with greater convenience," Illingworth said about the systems that are now in Walmart stores nationwide. "We've revolutionized their business and their industry."
Martinez asked about the business opportunity with Marley Coffee kiosks. "Marley is such an exciting brand," Illingworth commented. "We created a kiosk that provides the same quality premium coffee as Starbucks, but is much more convenient, so you can get your coffee and run," Illingworth said.
The new Marley machines feature Android technology, remote management capabilities, and can brew up to 15 premium blends through an interactive touchscreen. "If you've seen them, they're amazing," Illingworth said.
The subject shifted to the rapidly growing marijuana industry. "Investors are talking about your company in relation to marijuana," Martinez stated.
Illingworth explained that AVT helped develop several systems for Medbox, one of the fastest growing companies in the marijuana and pharmaceutical sectors. "Medbox has transformed the industry with this innovative system, which vastly improves compliance, transparency, and security."
Asked about the outlook for 2014, Illingworth stated that the focus last year was partnering with great brands, and that this year they are focusing on company-owned units. "We've designed some great systems for other prominent companies and large retailers, but now we want to own some of our own systems and generate that continuous income stream," he said. "We think that this is going to grow fairly quickly and provide the company with ongoing revenue for steady growth."

AVT helps companies and entrepreneurs enter the profitable $7 billion industry
CORONA, Calif., March 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a leader in custom vending machines and automated retailing units, commented today on the report in Business News Daily, which stated that vending is one of the best ideas for entrepreneurs seeking an opportunity in 2014.
The publication based its findings on recent data, research and other evidence.
"Increasingly, health-conscious and time-strapped Americans are looking for quick food on the go that is healthier than the soda and chips you usually find in vending machines," the report stated. "This has spawned a whole new industry of health-oriented, unique and specialized vending companies that offer the chance to own and service as few as one or two machines."
AVT specializes in helping entrepreneurs start a thriving company based on a vending platform. Farmer's Fridge, Burrito in a Box, Medbox, Marley Automated Cafés, and HUMAN Healthy Vending are just a few examples of how AVT has developed customized systems that have launched entire companies.
The article said that vending is one of the best businesses due in part to the low cost of entry. "Owning a vending-machine business offers the opportunity to start small," they reported. Owner/operators can "test the waters" without the large start-up costs associated with most businesses.
Many companies, including Burrito Box, started with just one machine, but soon after were able to recoup their investment and add additional units. Burrito Box, which has been covered extensively in the media, has placed an order with AVT for additional machines, and will be announcing their much-anticipated new locations in the near future.
"AVT is the leader in accommodating companies ranging from Fortune 500 to individual entrepreneurs"
"One of the strengths of AVT is that we are uniquely capable of designing and building custom automated retailing solutions," Shannon Illingworth, Founder and Chairman of AVT commented. "Whether we are innovating methods to provide a hot burrito; or creating a new way to dispense healthy foods and salads; or automating a manual process such as carpet cleaning equipment rental or propane exchange, AVT is a powerhouse of capabilities and solutions," he added. "We are the only company that can work with an entrepreneur seeking just one unit, or a company like Rug Doctor that places orders for thousands of units at a time."

Market to grow to over $9 billion within 24 months..
CORONA, Calif., Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a leader in custom vending machines and automated retail stores stated that they are well positioned as the legal marijuana and electronic cigarette markets continue to make significant gains.
A recent article in International Business Times stated that the value of medical marijuana alone would grow from $1.7 billion to about $9 billion by 2016. This number does not include states where the substance is legal for personal use – currently Washington and Colorado, with others pending legislation.
While AVT was not specifically mentioned in the article, it is pertinent to note that some of the fastest growing companies in the world are now involved in supplying products or services to the legal marijuana and e-cigarette industries.
AVT provides market leader Medbox with their secure storage and retrieval systems, which vastly improves security, transparency and compliance within the marijuana industry.
AVT also produces automated systems for the dispensing of e-cigarettes – the fastest growing segment in the $100 billion U.S. tobacco market.
According to The Economist, "Sales in e-cigarettes have jumped from nearly nothing five years ago to at least $1 billion in 2013."
This trend will continue to grow as the major tobacco companies are now getting involved. According to the Wall Street Journal, Reynolds American - the nation's number 2 leading tobacco company and maker of Camel cigarettes, and Lorillard - the nation's 3rd largest tobacco company and maker of Newport cigarettes, have both launched e-cigarette brands and are planning for national expansion within this year.
"AVT has a record of continued success due in part to our ability to predict and recognize trends, and develop systems and technologies that capitalize on those waves," said James Winsor, CEO of AVT, Inc. "We are at the heart of the automated retailing boom, with innovative solutions that give companies the means to distribute to their customers in new and exciting ways."

AVT's Patent Found Valid and Enforceable Upon Reexamination
CORONA, Calif., May 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a technology leader in developing automated retailing systems, customized kiosks and micro-stores, announced that they received Notice of Intent to Issue Reexamination Certificate for AVT's core wireless vending control patent, U.S. Patent Number 8,191,779, which was put under reexamination in Fall 2012. The Notice indicates a number of claims were found patentable. Company officials expressed their satisfaction that the patent office validated the novelty of AVT's technology.
Currently, it is estimated that there are over eight million vending machines being used across the United States. As such, the vending machine industry is the largest cash business in the U.S. and the most pervasive retail channel with the highest number of locations. However, unlike other leading industries, vending machines are the only retail channel that does not universally accept credit or debit card payments. Only two to three percent of machines accept cashless payment.
Historically, vending machine owners were plagued with problems accepting credit and debit cards because of a lack of reliable communication between credit card machines and servers. Consequently, transaction times were long and sometimes unreliable. In addition, there was no convenient way to supplement unit sales with advertising revenues. It is estimated that the addition of reliable credit card acceptance methods would increase vending machine sales by up to 40 percent. Moreover, industry experts say that the addition of cashless payment technology, such as the ones offered by AVT in its new patent, would allow owners of vending machines to offer higher-end merchandise, increase total sales per customer, enhance brand image, and improve revenues.
Based in Corona, California, AVT is the leading developer of automated and self-service retailing systems. Its large portfolio of products includes fully automated "Micro-Stores," automated retailing systems, Marley Coffee Automated Cafes, Utique Stores and technologies, and custom solution services for the automated dispensing of items as diverse as prescription medicine, fresh-squeezed juices, gourmet coffees and cupcakes, premium caviar, healthcare items, office supplies, Kardashian cosmetics, perfumes, and high-end merchandise. Its unique automated solutions are intended to drive consumer traffic, increase sales, improve security and lower company overhead.
James Winsor, CEO of AVT, stated that the company spent over three years and a significant amount of money developing the technology included in its latest patent, and will now determine the best methods to fully exploit the opportunity and capitalize on their re-validated patent. "We will explore all options to monetize this significant patented technology," he stated. "We are aware of several other manufacturers that are now using our technology in violation of our patent, and we look forward to bringing them into compliance in a manner that brings the most value to our company and shareholders."

"We are pleased to have been a part of the massive attention that this machine has generated, but we are more thrilled to have helped bring this creative idea to life," said Shannon Illingworth, Founder and Chairman of AVT, Inc.
Entrepreneur Denis Koci, the owner of Burrito Box, is passionate about his new business. He saw a need for high quality food and healthy options for today's on the-go lifestyles. He turned to AVT to help turn his vision into reality.
"This is the real American dream," Illingworth commented. "To believe in creating something that has never been done before, and have the courage of your convictions," he added. "That is what made this country great."
In the U.S. alone there are over 200,000 "fast food" locations. Revenue has grown from $6 billion in 1970 to $160 billion last year, an 8.6% annualized rate.
The first Burrito Box has attracted hundreds of customers within its first few hours of operation, and word of the great tasting food from a self-service kiosk is spreading like wildfire.
SB Nation, the fastest-growing online sports media brand, noted that the Burrito Box is "Your new reason for living."
Trendhunter.com probably summed it up best when they said, "I believe it can be said that that the Burrito Box–a vending machine that serves piping hot burritos–is probably America's greatest accomplishment since landing a man on the Moon."

CORONA, Calif., Feb. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a leader in custom vending machines and automated retail stores announced that as Marley Coffee increases their national retail distribution, AVT is finding greater demand for their Marley Coffee automated stores and kiosks.
Marley Coffee has been rapidly growing their retail presence and is now available in major national grocery chains including Safeway, Kroger and Albertson's stores.
AVT has designed a unique, automated store that provides gourmet Marley Coffee to consumers on-the-go. "With Rubi exiting the market, and Marley Coffee's rapid growth, we are seeing an increase in interest in our Marley Coffee Automated Stores," according to Shannon Illingworth, Founder and Chairman of AVT, Inc.
For many people, visiting a Marley Coffee Automated Kiosk is a great way to break the Starbucks habit. Each cup is individually brewed from whole beans that are ground upon selection, using specially filtered water and adjustable brew strengths.
"We have one of the only machines in the world that can brew a freshly ground cup of espresso, cappuccino, coffee or mocha with the highest quality Marley blends," Illingworth stated. "Once people try it, they become a lifetime customer, because the kiosk delivers a better tasting cup of coffee, faster, and at a lower cost than any coffee shop."

Yes, AVTC continues to commit a variety of misleading representations, with fake companies giving them awards or doing business with them. Today, they commit "affinity fraud", by issuing a press release about a well-known company's activities. It would be one thing if AVTC actually does business with eBay. No, instead, this company thinks people are so stupid that they will associate their scam of a company with a highly successful one. One day they might actually have a real relationship. When their inventory is liquidated, perhaps it will be done through eBay's online auction. Until then, if it smells like crap, it probably is crap.

4 Marijuana Stocks Built on Promising Practical Products: AVT Inc. (OTC PINK: AVTC), Advanced Cannabis Solutions (OTCQB: CANN), Medbox, Inc. (OTCPINK Markets: MDBX), Cannabis Science Inc. (NASDAQ OTC: CBIS)
Bright, shiny and new marijuana stocks with various sundry visions of exploiting the much anticipated legal- marijuana industry are going public every day, with enchanting narratives that can swoon even the most hardcore investors.
But here is a preliminary litmus test a potential investor can apply to any of these enticing cannabis stocks that will enable him to focus on their real-world potential:
Does the company being considered offer a product or service that is (1) practical, (2) promising and (3) is the company already positioned to hit the ground running with these products or services?
Business Longevity and Promising Products
One of several companies that makes and sells products that have practical promise in the legal-marijuana industry is AVT Inc. (OTC PINK: AVTC).
The Corona, Calif.-based company makes vending machines that can be used to dispense medical marijuana. However, its greatest asset is the fact that AVT’s been a successful and growing business for 10 years. In addition, some industry experts believe its main product line is ready-made for the marketplace.
"We have a variety of innovative systems that we provide to the legal marijuana industry," AVT’s CEO James Winsor, said in a written statement on Jan. 30. "From biometrically secure marijuana storage and dispensing systems (sometimes referred to as 'marijuana vending machines'), to sleek automated units that sell a variety of e-cigarette vapor pens, AVT is well positioned to continue to grow in this dynamic, rapidly expanding market," he added.
Already Successful Vending-Machine Company
Unlike so many new players entering the cannabis market, AVT is already a successful vending-machine company selling various foods and other products such as e-cigarettes. It is also used to getting its machines to comply with any federal or state regulations. This experience gives AVT a step up over other newer players in this segment.
"We can bring machines into compliance with the new regulations," AVT’s CEO Winsor, said in a Jan. 9 written statement addressing the regulation issue. "Or we can custom create a new solution for any operator, that includes our patented wireless connectivity, cashless payment systems, and a high definition interactive display that not only provides the consumer with nutritional information, but also entertains, engages, and upsells," he added
On Jan. 31, AVTC's share price closed at $3.90, up 8 cents from its closing price of $3.82 the previous day.

Colorado Springs, Colo-based Advanced Cannabis Solutions (OTCQB: CANN) has two strong practical points going for it: It’s headquartered in the middle of one of the first, vibrant legal-marijuana marketplaces in the country and it’s just been approved for a major line of credit. These two elements are essential for the company to be able to build and equip the facilities it wants to rent to cannabis growers, which by the way, certainly fits the criteria of being a practical and promising product or service.
In Colorado alone, the medical marijuana market is estimated to be $350 million in size while the legalization of recreational marijuana could expand that figure to over $500 million in 2014 by some accounts. These figures are significantly larger throughout the United States. where some analysts estimate the total market at between $10 billion and $120 billion per year in size, depending on the success of various legalization efforts and the components included in the estimates.
Just Got New 30-Million Credit Line
On Jan. 21, Advanced Cannabis Solutions announced that it had established a $30-million credit line.
According to a release, Advanced Cannabis Solutions signed a definitive agreement with Full Circle Capital Corp., a closed-end investment company. The agreement provides that the investment fund will initially provide $7.5 million to the Company in the form of Senior Secured Convertible Notes, subject to certain conditions. An additional $22.5 million can be borrowed by Company with the mutual agreement of the Company and the investment company.
At least 95% of the loan proceeds will be used to acquire properties, which the company consistent with its business plan, will lease to licensed cannabis growers.
"The six-year loan will be secured by real estate acquired with the loan proceeds, and will require interest-only payments at a rate of 12% per year," the release explained, outlining the agreement.
On Jan. 31, CANN's share price closed at $14.25, up 20 cents from its closing price of $14.44 the previous day.

Already Established in Prime Location
Hollywood, Calif.-based Medbox, Inc. (OTCPINK Markets: MDBX), a maker of patented, self-service, identity-verifying medicine dispensers, believes it is perfectly positioned to cash in on the burgeoning medical marijuana market in California.
"Legal marijuana is one of the most rapidly expanding medical markets in the U.S., projected to exceed $3 billion in 2014," said Dr. Bruce Bedrick, chief executive officer, Medbox, Inc., in a written statement. "This rapid growth is creating significant opportunities and Medbox is positioned as the first mover and clear industry leader in this burgeoning sector. Our offerings include sophisticated and comprehensive consulting services for dispensary permit applicants and cultivators, as well as offering dispensing technologies and vaporizers. The breadth and depth of our offerings position us to strengthen our leadership role and we felt it was an appropriate time to retain proven IR counsel to help us raise our visibility in the investment community, communicate our investment thesis and broaden our shareholder base," he added.
Medbox’s dispensers even have the precaution of requiring a finger print check for identity. The company hopes to ultimately place these dispensers in the thousands of clinics and approved facilities that it hopes one day will dispense medical marijuana.
New Patents Awarded
At the same time, Medbox is developing and patenting even more practical products for the cannabis industry.
On Jan. 21, Medbox announced that it has expanded its intellectual property portfolio with the confirmation that it has been awarded two additional patents for its Vaporfection brand of products. The announcement was made in conjunction with a comprehensive shareholder update, and Form 10 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The patents, awarded to the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Vaporfection International, Inc., specifically relate to:
- Vapor Glass™ technology, which features the use of laboratory grade glass encased heating element positioned in the center of the laboratory grade glass heating chamber air pathway. This unique Glass on Glass design results in a superior quality and efficient air/heat flow vapor, which ensures that nothing but the purest convection heated air enters the plant material, which releases the purest, naturally flavored and virtually odorless vapor into the users’ respiratory system. This method is unlike most vaporizers that apply conduction heat to the plant material using ceramics, metals and other possible contaminates in the air pathway.
- Vapor Sense™ technology, which features a touch screen interface linked to an automatic temperature sensing control system. The technology uses a digital microprocessor temperature controller directly connected to a thermo coupling temperature sensor in the heating chamber. It also incorporates a fixed temperature setting option, auto shut-off, and cool-down safety features.
MDBX share price closed at $36.00 on Jan. 31, down 89 cents from its closing price of $36.89 the previous day.

Plan to Reduce Research Restrictions
Cannabis Science Inc. (NASDAQ OTC: CBIS) is continuing to lobby hard for the decriminalization of cannabis research, which is definitely a check mark on the practically ledger.
The company's government relations team lead, Rick Blake, is working with the U.S. House of Representatives' Cannabis Caucus to ensure that President Obama signs an Executive Order to decriminalize cannabis research. This is one of the bipartisan initiatives of the members of the Cannabis Caucus being facilitated by Cannabis Science. In contrast to many other countries Cannabis Science believes the regulatory landscape of the United States creates unreasonable restrictions on the ability of scientists and physicians to explore promising patient-driven research involving cannabis and cannabinoids.
"Thousands of patients are awaiting the President's action to set cannabis research free," said Director and CEO of Cannabis Science Dorothy Bray, in a Jan. 29 written statement.
The Colorado company that is developing cannabis-based medicines announced on Jan. 16 that it is spearheading an observational clinical research study in 2014 focusing on the use of cannabis and cannabis-based products to treat a variety of medical conditions.
"We will work with full authorization of the regulatory authorities and, most importantly, with the approval from patients," said Cannabis Science President Robert Melamede.
CBIS share price closed at 0.179 cents on Jan. 31, down 0.0015 cents from its closing price of 18 cents the previous day.
