Did you get his permission to publish that? And pardon me for using your arguments. State coordinator? So what? It's just a fancy bureaucratic title. What makes him an expert about SKTO and its business plan? He's only "heard of SKTO," and he's quick as a bunny to libel the firm and its management. Fits loose cannon definition, doesn't it? The question remains. Did he give you permission to publish his alleged e-mail?
Elly- Did the loose cannon @ CAN give permission to what's his name to publish verbatim his generic-sounding opinion -- seasoned with off-the-cuff, shoot-from-the-hip ad hominem attacks on management and firm that border on libel?

Never say never is a good rule of thumb. The blanket prediction about MMJ seems reminiscent of a few other predictions that soured. Fortunately, SKTO is guided by men of farsight.

Note: CAN lobbied succeesfully for referenda to reform California MJ laws. However, pursuant to those referenda, the new state laws brought a measure of disorder and lawlessness etc. to the newly fashioned MMJ industry. Naturally, CAN got something of a black eye. Along comes the Allyn group/SKTO, endorsed by Newsom, who is working with governor and assembly to pass new laws to rationalize and bring state compliance and a streamlined proctocol for MMJ dispensaries. Allyn group look like heroes by working with the state to clean up some of the problems CAN unintentionally helped spawn. CAN looks on as Allyn group seizes the issue with blessing of state. Naturally, CAN looks askance on SK3. "How dare these upstarts trod on our turf!" CAN loses face and some clout (and perhaps donations). CAN guys and dolls have feelings, too.
CAN is the Lawrence Welk of the MMJ industry. Allyn with Newsom are the new blood with new ideas and approaches toward MMJ that have the support* of 60-75% of the American people that WILL overcome the fed enriched bureaucrats and fed law such as it is.
*Including the majority of the CA legislature, both houses plus the governor.
Yes, sour grapes in not seizing the initiative like the Allyn Group has with the support of the California governnment at the highest levels. Surely, you do not think Newsom and Allyn and Benz et al. are working in a vacuum. If so, that's not how it works in California, WEST coast, mind you. Newsom is working with the CA assembly, both houses and the governor. CAN has been politically upstaged, and they don't like it.
Has CAN talked to Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom about SK3? I wonder what CAN's response would be if they knew that Newsom has endorsed SKTO's business plan. Maybe they wouldn't be so easy about slinging the off-the-cuff hash. Newsom is working with the state assembly on the MMJ regulation bills in both houses.
A hint of sour grapes in that letter? if it is bona fide.
CAN's shoot-from-the-hip opinion refers only to SKTO securing 50 aggregated acres for MMJ, nothing else. Their opinion, such as it is, does not address SKTO's primary business model which apparently they have not studied. "I have heard about SK3" doesn't qualify as an informed opinion in that respect.
"could be converted"; "could have been converted" Speculative supposition.
As to Crystal, maximum conversion is about 18 million shares, not 27.8 mil
"There is a limitation on the total shares held by the holder of the note, to 4.99 percent of all common shares outstanding."
Dr. Charles L. Apel is a published scientist. See below. He has worked with NASA and Los Alamos Research Labs.
Dr. Apel and D. Gold have been independently researching the scientific properties of MJ for decades. It's fairly obvious why this research had to remain quiet. SKTO now has the benefit of their years of work and knowledge, practical and theoretical, in the area of MMJ. That was a major reason for acquiring Berkeley Bio-Organic Research Labs.
Neglected to add the preferred convertible cannot be exercised until mid 2014. The preferred shares have not yet been issued. Anticipated date is May 31, 2013, subject to change.

Close 0.0285, up 54%. Not bad! Very strong EOD. It's a new ball game. Thank you, SKTO Chairman Allyn for weighing in.
EOD run could be anticipating major news next week.
For Q1 tax liability, SKTO can mitigate any potential taxes due with significant accrued losses from former years.
D- Concur. A corporation, like a person, has the right to publicly defend itself from those who would libel it and cause damage to the firm and its shareholders. Libel of the corporation's principals per se can conceivably spill over into personal libel lawsuits, as well.
libel 1) n. to publish in print (including pictures), writing or broadcast through radio, television or film, an untruth about another which will do harm to that person or his/her reputation, by tending to bring the target into ridicule, hatred, scorn or contempt of others. Libel is the written or broadcast form of defamation, distinguished from slander which is oral defamation. It is a tort (civil wrong) making the person or entity (like a newspaper, magazine or political organization) open to a lawsuit for damages by the person who can prove the statement about him/her was a lie. Publication need only be to one person, but it must be a statement which claims to be fact, and is not clearly identified as an opinion. While it is sometimes said that the person making the libelous statement must have been intentional and malicious, actually it need only be obvious that the statement would do harm and is untrue. Proof of malice, however, does allow a party defamed to sue for "general damages" for damage to reputation, while an inadvertent libel limits the damages to actual harm (such as loss of business) called "special damages." "Libel per se" involves statements so vicious that malice is assumed and does not require a proof of intent to get an award of general damages. Libel against the reputation of a person who has died will allow surviving members of the family to bring an action for damages. Most states provide for a party defamed by a periodical to demand a published retraction. If the correction is made, then there is no right to file a lawsuit. Governmental bodies are supposedly immune for actions for libel on the basis that there could be no intent by a non-personal entity, and further, public records are exempt from claims of libel. However, there is at least one known case in which there was a financial settlement as well as a published correction when a state government newsletter incorrectly stated that a dentist had been disciplined for illegal conduct. The rules covering libel against a "public figure" (particularly a political or governmental person) are special, based on U. S. Supreme Court decisions. The key is that to uphold the right to express opinions or fair comment on public figures, the libel must be malicious to constitute grounds for a lawsuit for damages. Minor errors in reporting are not libel, such as saying Mrs. Jones was 55 when she was only 48, or getting an address or title incorrect.
Re: "Is the legal phrase 'Slander the Company'?"
To be precise, slander is always oral. Slander is defaming or maligning by oral utterance heard by others. Libel is defaming or maligning by printed words published. In both cases, tangible damage to victim must be proven.
The two words are often misapplied, similar to the ubiquitous misuse of the word "literally" for the word "figuratively."

(SKTO KAllyn)
Investors admire strength, leadership and vision in their company's top brass. SKTO Chairman Kevin Allyn has unquestionably demonstrated all three along with durable patience and unflagging determination. Mr. Allyn is transforming our fledgling pinkie into a Big League enterprise. SKTO shareholders are fortunate, indeed, to have such a remarkable man as Chairman of the Board.
Bravo! to SKTO Chairman Kevin Allyn for bold (and patient) leadership of the firm. This is a company that means business. The MMJ sector is a new industry, and only strong entities will survive. With formidable leaders like Chairman Allyn, it is assured that SKTO will be among the golden few.
Yet another failed effort to discredit the current SK3 management.
XX- What official legal body would phrase it this way:
"SKTO Lawsuit for Case Type: Contractual Fraud names: quote]Parties"
"SKTO Lawsuit"?
There should be suits filed for libel and defamation against guilty parties.
dp- That argument dovetails with recent comments from D. Gold on facebook. GoldnApel research is focusing on CBD and disease mitigation. Gold's excitement is palpable. Like a scientist finally given the funds, tools and equipment to complete his lifetime project.
"I have been a science guy for my whole career, and, until now, have also had to be the business and money and finance guy. I’m very fortunate to have the aptly-named Dream Team – and the rest of our crew that works long and hard every day on the details and execution of our business plan – helping me see Dr. Apel’s and my projects to fruition."
"As you see from my other writings here on our facebook page, I am very stoked with our new partners. I have spent a lot of time with them and am absolutely convinced that everyone’s goal here is to see our family of companies prosper as we explore the tremendous potential in the anti-cancer properties of cannabis. Having the resources that SK3 is providing us with should greatly speed the work Dr. Apel and I have been doing at Berkeley Bio."

Mention made entire MJ sector down. Indeed. Table below studies a portfolio of MJ stocks tracked @
http://marijuanastocks.com/
Table consists of those MJ stocks for which 52-week history noted. In all cases, the MJ stocks are now trading well below 52-week highs with many of them drastically under 52-week highs. This helps put SKTO in context of the larger market ebb and flow. As in all new industries, there will be a shake out. Fortunately, with powerful backers in the private and political arenas, SKTO is carving out a more or less unique niche in the MMJ field, well needed to streamline and rationalize the MMJ sector.
XX- Perfect! Good work. Thanks.

Bears roar, bulls retreat... for now. SKTO quietly holds a few aces. Announcement of CEO will rock the market.
imo.
All - Yesterday, someone wrote that come morning they were threatening to dump their entire 3.7 million shares on the market. Funny thing, at early morning capitulation, I happened to notice volume @ 3.7 million. Maybe coincidence, maybe not. In any event, until contradicted by the source, I think that dump could have happened as telegraphed yesterday.
SKTO market cap now only $7.26Million.
