Very Interesting Fight between Aereo and the Networks.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/08/hopper-aereo_n_3034356.html
Aereo may be forcing the public networks to convert to fee-pay models or somehow figure out a way to transmit video to dedicated customers over the internet which would block Aereo from retransmitting their content.
Is there a long-term solution for Fox, NBC, and CBS to use Clipstream G2 over the internet?
And, they will realize that they do not own any yet.
0% owned by investment institutions and funds. As a community, they usually own 50% or more of profitable companies. The huge buy orders will be coming.
I think he is an investor in some capacity.
I made a buy at 73 cents a while back and I commented on the board about the seller giving away shares. ANYDAYNOW posted to say that he was the seller at that price. At the time, he was right because the price dropped into the low 60s.
I think he swing trades Destiny at least, while he favors the downside so that he can buy shares at dirt bottom prices. There is no other reason to keep monitoring this board.
Not a single word from ANYCOMPLAINNOW, eh?
Maybe he slept in while his short position trending in the wrong direction.
imo - the announcement is worded to include Music Videos whenever UMG wants to start using them. When Clipstream G2 is proven, UMG has the incentive to use it to raise their streaming content and lower their per use pricing.
This is a perfect way to launch Clipstream G2 - with a customer who knows your operations who can use the audio streaming now and video streaming in limited uses until Destiny releases the official Clipstream version.
The recommended standard is 4 Mbps now for US homes. I only get 1.3 Mbps from my telco DSL.
I have been testing slow speed conditions for Clipstream G2. 3.5 Mbps seems fast to me, but cable modems run much faster.
Destiny has a speedtest checker. Maybe your iPad works with it.

If you want to know your speed, test it.

If you are going to complain about Clipstream, you should know whether it is a serious problem, a trivial problem, or someone else's problem.

It seems like the mobile world is going to dwarf the desktop world. What will Microsoft do to compete other than partner with Nokia?
IMO - there is a run up to the conference call next week, if there is one.
The stock will rise or fall after the CC depending on the results of the quarter and the outlook comments for the next quarter.
Google is releasing its own webpage rendering software - Blink. It should speed up Chrome.

I found a Sept 2012 Presentation Document by SLP's chief scientist.
http://www.pqri.org/workshops/ivivc/bolgergastroplusfinal.pdf
The title of the document shows up as IVIVCPlus, but there is no official trademark for IVIVCPlus.
It is better to break $80 and stay above it, but the trend is going in the right direction.
All the low priced sellers disappeared on OTC markets.
Next buy is 77 cents.
All Investment Management Institutions have to report their holdings if they take public money. The greater than 5% rule is required for private money funds.
The Report Period is December 2011.
This fund filed their paperwork a year late.
As I understand it, the clarity is the worst on slow connections in full screen mode. Destiny downgrades the resolution to account for the connection speed. When those users also play the videos in full screen on very large screens they are going to see the degraded resolution.
My active connection at 1.3 Mbps works fine, but the resolution is not HD or even non-HD Flash quality. This performance works for advertisers who need small videos on a webpage, but not for full screen action movies played on a 42 inch television.
On the larger screens, Clipstream G2 needs the fastest connection.
There are issues that still need to be improved before any global release. I reported a unique condition last week.
Destiny developers need to get this right for the first five customers before they think about marketing it to the remaining 4+ billion customers. The first customers are market research companies that previously used Clipstream G1, so the customer relationship is already solid and not at risk over a few software glitches that need to be fixed.
When software is being tested the developers release only one video until that video is working perfectly. Then, you encode all the other videos the same way.
Destiny might be using the Jump Video as the primary test case for new improvements because that video is played more often, on more devices.
cci, Those are errors in the encoding release.
Report those to Destiny. I have not seen any of those errors since early February, but they are making changes again which may induce new issues on some devices.
Great find. Nokia really jumbles up the Video Standard mess. They have no reason to help Google since they are using the Microsoft platform.
Everyone will be guessing about using WebM, H-264, or H-265 - as Clipstream G2 starts to roll out to the world.
Is this guy leading the marketing at Destiny?

I posted the Play MPE numbers to review the increase in music streaming.
In November and December, I remember new registered users was less than 100 per week. Now we are at 173 per week and averaging 500 per month.
That is good news.
These are not existing users. These are 500 new users who receive paid streams every month over the last 5 months.
I think you are nervous about your poor short position.
Play MPE keeps adding users. I found my October 2012 post data.
In May 2009, registered Play MPE users were 28,000.
In Sep 2011, registered Play MPE users were 50,000.
In Oct 2012, registered Play MPE users are 61,467.
In Mar 2013, registered Play MPE users are 63,884.
Over 5 months, 2,417 new registered users or 500 new registered users per month.
Over the last week: 173 new registered users.

I prefer to call you SHORTY.
Good theory. If you manage blocks of stocks in separate accounts, you can buy, sell, or sell short depending upon the trend.
Although, I don't understand why it does not seem to change from month to month.
I reviewed the Short Position History on OTC Markets.
The current 600,000 short position only started back in May of last year. Before that, Destiny had about 5,000 shares short when their stock price was at 40 cents. In January 2012, the short position was less than 2,000 shares.
Some short holders are still skeptical about the success of Clipstream G2, or they are gambling on a surprise crash due to bad news of some kind. Very risky, unless they can afford the risk.
I am riding some other winners - as are other investors.
Destiny seems to be in slow-motion right now, but that could change at any time.
We should hear about how many shares were bought by the company on the next earnings report - in April.
Nothing to worry about.
Here is the wikipedia link on dongles.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dongle
The dongle solution is a way to lock software to legal buyers because every user needs a hardware piece that is purchased with the software.
The software looks for a saved key value inside the USB device.
Destiny's software locking patents replace the need for the dongle hardware in many cases.
If you are buying a 4,000+ software application, the software vendor wants to make sure that the user can't use the software on more than one machine at a time. So the dongle device works to restrict that although it allows the user to move the software to another computer.
For songs and other cheap software, a dongle is impractical.
We only know about 600,000 shares are held by official short holders. The naked shorts are a mystery right now until the details are discovered. I have no proof about a large naked short position, but if their is one - it could be good for shareholders at some point.
Nobody is forcing those shorts to be called in. If you have enough liquidity, a broker will allow the short to be open indefinitely. Naked shorts should not be held open indefinitely due to SEC rules, although the rules may be different in Canada.
The stock price will only change when the shorts HAVE TO buy or CHOOSE to close out their short with a buy transaction.
I can't control the timing on any buy transactions, shorts or longs. I just know that the trend of company profits, other insider buys, and a stock buy back plan are going to pinch the short holders at some point.
Hello SPACECADET?
You are an investor? Hello! Anyone home?
Why would I buy a stock that has 5 million shares short. That should not even be a question.
Do you understand what shorting stocks is about?
(1) When a share is sold short, the borrower is OBLIGATED to buy back the share at a future point in time.
(2) If there are 5 million shares short, there are 5 MILLION SHARES THAT MUST BE BOUGHT AT A FUTURE POINT IN TIME.
So, if Destiny has 5 million shares short, then SOMEONE has to buy 5 MILLION SHARES after I have bought my shares.
What happens to the price if those 5 million shares are bought now?
I think the price would go up. Don't you think so too?
Maybe you need some lessons on basic investing practices before you post any more EXPERT comments.

MAKESNOSENSE would be a better alias for you.
To make a legal claim, you have to prove that you have been harmed.
Most new DSNY investors have not been harmed. Some long-term shareholders might have a claim.
You can't sue Mr. McDonald now, so who else is at fault for the damages.
Destiny has a valid claim. They are doing all the work for anyone else who wants to sue later. The evidence will be part of the trial.
Then, you would have to determine the value of harm and whether it merits a two year legal case.
I do not see a large block of shareholders pursuing a class action lawsuit against Noramco. The suit by Destiny will remedy the situation for all shareholders who have held their shares. So those shareholders can't be part of another claim if their damages have been corrected.
I do not know about the new or old Naked Shorting rules. I only know that naked shorting was permitted by brokerages that allowed the activity that fell into a gray area of stock manipulation.
I am only concerned that some brokerages or affiliates of Mr. McDonald filed for bankruptcy where the courts have to absolve Noramco of the short shares deficit.
True. The goal is to link it back to Mr. McDonald who has big pockets.
I read a document about foreign short selling scams where the corporations that were behind the short positions suddenly folded into bankrupcty. The corporations filing bankruptcy were not liable for the debt because their assets had been transferred to the corporate owners in prior months, so the short positions were left owed without a remedy unless the owners could be targeted for clawback claims due to fraud.
Destiny wants to prove that Noramco orchestrated the shorting scheme as a stock manipulative tactic, thereby Destiny could be awarded punitive damages in addition to the short shares being repurchased at higher prices.
In US Courts, lawsuits take up to 2 years to go to trial to allow for discovery. I do not know the timeline for Canadian courts - so it could be shorter. If Noramco find the initial lawsuit 12 months ago, they have up to 12 months before a trial starts.
The discovery for Destiny involves subpoenas for stock sales of Destiny shares over the 11-12 year period. They should be able to find out who sold shares short and how many shares were sold. They can also find out how many shares are still short.
This issue gets complicated if Noramco used affiliates to trade the stock. Then you have to prove the link between Noramco and those affiliates.
If Destiny does not do this investigation, no one else will. So it is important to find out if Noramco has millions of shares short.
With the passing of Mr. McDonald, the company (or estate) may want to settle this matter rather than drag it on to a full trial where punitive damages could be awarded.
