'goodfree' ...You don't need to develop a Cyclone steam engine to burn bio fuel. The diesel engine can and is doing it now.
gdepc..is this true????
gdepc...WOW!!
The Company looked for alternatives and developed a process for producing enzymatically biosynthesized DNA (synDNA(TM)) without using bacterial fermentation. The bacteria-free process for making and purifying therapeutic quality DNA is proprietary to the Company.
Nice!!!
I am in the jailhouse. I have two posts that the reasons given is: "Admin Delete". I wonder if I could get more specific info? I understand the girl in the picture may be questionable. But to be honest, it was to make a point.
The post that asks if things are going as planned; I can't imagine what TOU that post violated?
The post that the reason given is "off topic" is a picture of a Cyclone mower. Cyclone stated they are going to make mowers. I know they didn't make this one but the point was that it is a mower that has the same name, "Cyclone"
Is there some other reason why I am in the Jailhouse other than these three posts listed below?

feinanddandy..Does not take a genius to see what's going on.
Would you please explain the Series B Preferred Shares of CYPW.
"The share structure is the first thing I look for when making a new investment...it should be the first thing you look for too. If a company is not willing to be transparent in this area, you can bet there's a hundred other areas they're not willing to be transparent about. I have and continue to invest in plays where the transfer agents are gagged (unable to report to you what the current share structure is) but I don't plan to stay invested for long."

Harry(CEO) has stated for years now that the Cyclone engine is in its final stage of development. Two summers ago many people on this board talked about buying Cyclone engine powered lawn mowers. I wonder how many years Cyclone is going to be in the final stage of development and how many shares will be issued?
I don't know why you asked the question. You appear to know the answer and any response by me would not have satisfied you. I think it would be better to stay on topic and talk about investing in CYPW.
This company has primarily sold stock, regardless of what their stated goal is.

dotell..I have no particular company in mind, but any company that produces products and receives revenue would answer your question.
Cyclones revenue source is mainly from selling shares.
You could put all the non functioning shinny red and black prototypes on a trailer and pull them all over the United States with a gas gussler. Remember, Cyclone has not developed an engine that can be put in a car because they are only an R&d company.
You might impress some people. It sounds like you might be a better snake oil salesman than Harry(CEO). Have a nice trip.

grajekk..Cyclone has participated in trade show after trade show, conference after conference, PR after PR, one more conference is not going to change the pattern, and you making one more call or sending one more e-mail is not going to change anything.
How many e-mails and phone calls and posts on I-hub boards do you estimate you have made on CYPW's behalf in the last two years?

Title of Invention: HEAT REGENERATIVE ENGINE
I suppose we agree that not one licensee has yet to manufacture a product and that Cyclone has stated that they are in the final stage of development for about 5 years now. (Cyclone went Public in 2004)
How much time does it take, and how much money has to be spent, and how many shares have to be sold, before we see a product on the market? That is the key question.
Yes, I agree Cyclone is an R&D company that has not developed a product.
You just recently said that great things were going to happen at the Military and Defense Conference. The stock price has gone down since. There have been many trade shows in the past, the results have always been the same. Why would this show be any different?
'KatmasterM'..The reason algae fuels are being developed has nothing to do with Cyclone technology. They are being developed to be used in proven dependable and time tested engines.
All indications from past trade shows are that they do not improve the price of this stock. The algae trade show is going to have little if any effect on the price of this stock. IMVHO

This has not been independently verified and this company has claimed they were in the final stage of development for years now.
Not true IMVHO:
"A company named Cyclone Power Technologies is in final stage development of an engine that can run on either straight dried algae mash, or unrefined algae oil, as a fuel and does it with nearly zero pollution."
You are partially correct. What is happening is that now there are two sellers of CYPW stock. This is what is preventing the stock from moving despite the efforts of the company. Harry who is selling as many discounted shares as he can (he has one billion authorized shares). The second seller is the collection of people who received multi-millions of shares from the sale of the shell company.
You can call this old news, but I believe it is the reason why this stock is in the teens today. Yes, it is all disclosed in the documents that have been filed with the SEC.
IMVHO
Arnold
KatmasterM...Yes we do have a different opinion, and I agree that is ok. You ask what is the point of showing who owns millions of shares of CYPW and how the shares were obtained . If you look closely at the list I posted you will see that millions of shares where obtained not by blood, sweat, and tears, but by shrewd business deals.
I believe some of the people with millions of shares obtained by creating a shell company (without actually buying shares) are constantly selling shares and taking some money of the table.
I posted, as you have stated, an old list but with 150 to 200 millions shares outstanding. I can post a much longer and more up to date list if you would like.
This selling continues despite the constant PR's, CEO letters and trade shows. Harry is doing everything he can to sell shares. But if you look at the chart you will see that the price of the stock is going nowhere.

KatmasterM...You say, "Retiring the Mark II after several years is a great idea, although you never really retire it..."
I think that much is learned from every attempt made to create anything, it is only great when we are successful. The idea that Harry did not create a prototype that could be used by a licensee to produce products is a failure, that is not great. Harry states he will now begin the next generation of the Mark II engine. How many generations or prototypes or years will it take to produce a product that can be sold running on a Cyclone engine?
Some posters ask where will the prototype end up. It will more than likely be found with the non-functioning shinny red and black prototypes shown at the trade shows.
Cyclone has been successful in selling stock. I estimate by the end of this year there will be close to 200,000,000 (200 million) shares issued (restricted plus non-restrictive). And that more than likely not a single product will be used ( by the public) running a Cyclone engine. I would call that a different kind of success.
CYPW
After years of work on the Mark II engine, Harry states it is time to retire the prototype without manufacturing or selling a single one and start now with the next prototype of the same engine. That is a clear indication that the engine cannot perform the job it was designed for (small scale electric power generation) and a new prototype has to be developed. I think Harry should be honest for once and admit it was a failure.
Quote the Press Release:
"We feel that it’s time to retire this version of the engine and proceed to the second generation of our technology."

KatmasterM, you say there would be no refinement cost for the algae fuel used for the Cyclone engine because it can run on unrefined algae fuel.
The cyclone engine is a BTU engine and refined algae fuel should have a higher BTU value than unrefined fuel. So the cost of refining would be a wash.

outsidethebox.. This is how a Cyclone engine works. Explained by Harry Schoell the CEO.
#1 Each cylinder head has a single supercritical fluid admission valve. These valves are quite small because the fluid density and pressure is so high. Each valve is operated by a single push rod that extends into the cylinder block and through a ring that surrounds the valve operating mechanism.
Each push rod has its own rocker arm positioned around the vertical output shaft of the engine. Each rocker arm has a roller that makes contact with a tapered cam on the vertical shaft. The tapered cam rotates with the shaft and forces each rocker arm over about its fulcrum which in turn forces each push rod over to open its respective valve. The timing and duration of the valve is determined by the position of the tapered cam relative to the rocker arms.
At start from rest the tapered cam is positioned such that each valve will open for a long duration and with no advance. At least one rocker arm is forced over at all times when the tapered cam is in this position. Of course, this would mean that at least one valve would be opened at all times and we could never stop the engine. Hence the purpose of the ring. While at rest, or whenever the engine is not producing power, the ring is rotated such that the push rods make contact with their rocker arms only at their fulcrums. Sort of like a child seated in the center of a seesaw... when the seesaw moves the child does not. In this position the valves are not operated, not even if the engine shaft is rotating.
The output of the engine is controlled by rotating the ring relative to the valve rocker arms. This is accomplished mechanically by a rod extending into the interior of the engine block to operate a lever. The position of this rod is controlled by the operator and it determines the position of the ring, and by extension the position of the valve push rods on their respective rocker arms.
Now, the position of the tapered cam is determined by the speed of the engine and is automatic. A small hydraulic actuator in the engine block uses pressure from the water lubrication pump to position the tapered cam during operation. The water lubrication pump is driven by the engine, so when the engine speeds up the pump speeds up and the water pressure rises. This increasing pressure is used to force the hydraulic actuator over and position the tapered cam. As the engine speeds up the tapered cam rises so that at roughly 1000 rpm the valve push rods are operated by a cam with advance and very short duration.
Description of operation: Acceleration is achieved by depressing the accelerator pedal. This in turn forces the mechanical rod extending into the engine block to actuate the lever that rotates the push rod ring. The ring rotates forcing the ends of the push rods further away from the fulcrums of their respective rocker arms (much like a child moving further away from the center of a seesaw). This causes the push rods to be forced over a greater distance causing the valve to open a little more and for longer duration. This lets that much more supercritical fluid pass into the cylinder heads on each stroke. This raises the average pressure in the cylinders, and therefore raises the torque on the engine output shaft. The car then accelerates, or climbs a hill without slowing down.
The variable compression is provided by the "compression tube" that provides the reheat stage at rpm's below 1000. At speeds below 1000 rpm steam is forced into the compression tube which is placed in the combustion chamber. A small hydraulic actuator operated by pressure from the water lube pump shuts the "compression valve" at roughly 1000 rpm.
Valve timing varies from 0 to 1000 rpm automatically graduating from no advance and long cutoff (for self-starting), up to a cam with advance and very short cutoff. This is done with a tapered cam on the vertical engine shaft that is positioned vertically using a small hydraulic actuator (using pressure from water lube pump). The valve duration (how much they open and for how many degrees of shaft rotation) is controlled by the operator mechanically to govern steam admission and engine torque.
#2 The Cyclone is a BTU engine, Vapor fuel is used in IC engines to make the fuel mixture leaner and therefor more efficient. That principle does not apply to the cyclone engine.
#3 The efficiency of the engine is a claim by the inventor without any independent data.

Series A shares are currently convertible into a number of common shares that, when combined with the 33 million common shares that the Series A holders held as of July 2, 2007, equal sixty percent (60%) of the then total issued and outstanding common shares. The Series A holders are the original equity holders of the LLLP. The conversion of the Series A shares will have the effect of diluting all other common stock shareholders. As of March 31, 2009, the Series A shares were convertible into approximately 46 million shares of common stock. The Series B shares are majority voting shares and are held by senior management. Ownership of the Series B shares assures the holders thereof a 51% voting control over the common stock of the Company. The Series B shares are convertible on a one-for-one basis with the common stock in the instance the Company is merged or sold.
