There is value in the company. The patents have value. Is it 30mil, 40mil, 50mil.......100k, I don't know, but there is some value in the company.
Something is SERIOUSLY wrong with this picture. There is ZERO buying interest in this company.
IF IF IF everything is peaches and cream, Hansel could go out into the VC market, and VERY HONESTLY say that he is representing this company on the verge of making scientific history, inform the VC investors that he has, directly and indirectly, 10s of millions of shares available that can be purchased for 20 cents per, hell, 15 cents per.......you VC guys are gamblers, we got a killer play for you, who wants them?
We can't even, after an extensive blast of newsletters over the past week, get enough interest in this stock to absorb a million shares without knocking 10% off the stock price.
I'm dumb, I'm stupid. Please, somebody, make some sense of this for me. It's incomprehensible.
The only sense I can make is either Hansel is incompetent beyond belief, lazy beyond belief and Thompson doesn't care, or there is a huge game being played, and we don't know the rules. These newsletters have generated ZERO interest in this issue. I know, I know, we're all numb to them now. All the same, what the hell is the point of them then. Is Hansel so incompetent that he can't figure out any other way to generate interest in this company? Or, maybe, just maybe, this is the ONLY WAY HE WANTS to generate interest in this company. Hansel's involvement in this company is so preposterous it's obnoxious. God knows what his TRUE purpose is.
ARCA has had a "come and get it" attitude for a couple weeks now, so it seems.
Archepelagio moved their 500,000 ask up to .0269. Maybe they're making an effort to drag the asks up to a new range. There kind of feels like things are happening around this issue. Feels like stock professionals are sensing a hint of things moving forward.
Zinc, what do you figure is the status of a peer review paper?
What still needs to be accomplished before one could be presented, who would present it, what would it address, where would it be published/presented, is KBLB's business progress an issue in this paper being published, and timing in accordance with KBLB's business progress and the impact it would have on KBLB's business.
Side note...there is an article on the front page of Yahoo.com today about 10 people that started little companies that blossomed into billion dollar businesses. Sorry folks, not a single one of them ever was an OTC issue. A couple of them started with as little as $1000, but none of them ever sold shares of stock for a nickel.
Point taken.
There is no serious money looking at KBLB on the open market at this time. L2 is littered with $1,000-$1,500 offers. Maybe the mailers are slow to get out to everyone, hahaha.
Maybe it's time to put out some REAL news and knock this garbage off.
If this company put out some REAL news, and it shot up to .75, I wouldn't sell a share. But as it is, my trigger finger is itchy at .15
Agree with everything you erased.
All 3 of the releases at 8:45 read exactly the same on Scottrade. That would lead me to believe they are one and the same service. All 3 also advertise themselves as microcap followers, yet 2 of them list some of the biggest companies on earth as stocks they are following.
I'm guessing this is ALL about KBLB and the mention of Ford, BofA, Microsoft and others is just a bunch of tomfoolery.
I wish they'd take better care of the website, same as you, but I don't think the website is going to be the "make or break" on selling this stuff. We have the "holy grail" of material science, and anybody that only goes so far as to look at the website to learn about the product isn't really serious anyway.
Having said that.....Clean up the website for crying out loud. How hard and time consuming could it be? I agree it just makes them look sloppy and lazy, at least on that particular front.
Knight has it stradled. It was wierd how the spread moved up a full penny just like that. The mid-.11s were surrounded, and then a couple trades just pushed it up to the mid-.12s. Looks like most significant volume that comes is tilted towards the buy.
It's good to see we leap frogged the 50dma yesterday, and it looks like we'll hold on.
Be careful what you wish for. All that stuff got a pretty little French lady beheaded.
Somebody blew out those .025s like they were serious about something. There were over 500,000 on the ask at .025 a half hour ago on my L2. There are less than 60,000 now, with .0277 the next ask.
This is the internet, you can be whoever you want to be.
Maryann was never allowed to show her navel. She always has those tight little short-shorts pulled way up. Navels were too provacative in the mid sixties. Can you imagine what she would look like in "Gilligan's Island 2011?"
I don't know that he's making any mistakes.
A better answer for HIM would have been.... Cuz I like gambling.
I really don't think Thompson is the puppet nor the puppettier. I really don't think he is a player in those particular goings on, but I'm always keeping my eye on it.
I don't know what I've posted that has made you think I've lost my patience, and I don't know what I've posted that would make you think I'd bail if this first round of insertions were to come up wanting.
I admit I don't have a total grasp of the entire picture, therefore I keep my eyes open and continue to ask questions.
I too appreciate Zincs posts, but I don't feel they make it sound like everything is so easy. He laces them with numerous caveats.
All speculation on my part.
As far as people maybe not understanding and appreciating the science news as it comes out, it would be hard to expect most people to. I can understand a great deal of it on a very rudimentary level, but not nearly enough to put it in a full picture perspective. If Kim/Ben won't impress upon us what the value of each breakthrough is, there will be nothing in that news to support any pop in the stock price.
Their whole presentation is weak. It makes me wonder if it's even important to them. I don't think they are going to sell this through the internet. It will take a sales force hitting the pavement. Even with that, they should make that web page as professional as possible. It makes them look hokey. It doesn't seem very important to them, and I wonder why.
Same with the business advisory board. It's a legit question to ask what they are even there for. If the board is legit, obviously their expertise will be tapped when KBLB begins marketing, because it doesn't seem to be utilized at this time. At this time, they're just pictures on the IHub board.
Because I don't understand all the steps in the science process, it would be easy for me to assume that KBLB doesn't seem to exude a sense of urgency. Zinc will probably counter that they are moving ahead at breakneck speed by analyzing the lab progresses. That's what I mean by maybe we just don't understand and appreciate what is happening with this company on the science front.
Is Calm Seas a double edged sword? Are they not only the banker, but the stock promoter? KBLB doesn't seem to have any urgency in attracting investors through the website, because if they did, it would seem to me to be a good idea if they would embrace some of the things you suggested for the web page. Is StockWatchAlert the face being presented to the investment community at this time? Boy, that is a questionable strategy if that is the plan. Can Kim/Ben justify to the general investment community the use of Calm Seas and their "marketing arm" as the introduction avenue to KBLB and be taken seriously? Certainly not by you, me and a number of others right here on this board.
I've never posted this before, but I have thought a number of times over the past couple of months whether this is just a science nerd's (Thompson) playground. Is Kim Thompson just really interested in this stuff, and is having his curiosity satisfied on a bunch of other people's dime? Has there been some market research done, and maybe this stuff doesn't have the industrial value that we all assume it does? Mojo has said it before, if this is the holy grail of all materials, what is taking so long when we seem so close? Maybe there's something about it that limits is uses and value. Maybe there are production issues. Without getting too conspiratorial, maybe there are "powers that be" that won't allow the Genie out of the bottle. Is it so incredible that it's unsafe for the private marketplace (picture the end of "Raiders of the Lost Arc)?
If you are as science ignorant as I am, it looks like KBLB is stumbling along when they should be flying on greased rails. And maybe they are. It just seems like something isn't right.
Before I understood all the financing stuff, I thought for sure we'd see a buck sometime this year, and settle around .50 year end. But now that I understand the financing of this company better, I would have to agree with you more than not.
Yep. The only news that will make any difference in the long term stock price is commercialization news, and I'd bet nothing on that until maybe September. Scientific news pops then it seems to slip through the cracks. Maybe Zinc has something when he says that people really don't understand and appreciate the scientific news.
But in the long run it all doesn't matter anyway unless it starts putting money in the bank account.
No buyers out there today. There are plenty of shares being offered under .145, but absolutely nobody to pick them up.
Quiet period. I kind of think we really won't hear anything this month.
For somebody so concerned with the stock price, you would think that share count would be a priority with you. Do you understand that a company that earns a billion dollars a year with a billion outstanding shares has a different share price than a company that earns a billion dollars a year with 10 billion outstanding shares? You do understand that, right?
Now I'm wasting my time. You're right Ed, I need to find something to do.
Talking about bad news, isn't it time Manshoon was given back full posting rights? Maybe if he were to promise IHub Admin that he'd play nice, we could get his input more often than once per day. A lot of us don't like what he has to say, but it's hard to argue that his input hasn't, at minimum, been informative. I, for one, am very thankful for the info he has provided, whether it made me feel all fuzzy and warm or not.
You know Zinc, Kim just gave notice that he COULD sell 500,000 shares in the next 90 days. Gave notice 6/17. If there were news, real substantial news pertaining to revenue, like a licensing agreement with real timetables, and the stock got pumped, and he sold some of those shares into the price hike, I don't think I'd call foul. The man has deferred huge amounts of salary, and if he puts together a revunue producing deal, and sells some stock for his own benefit, I wouldn't have any problem with that. But if he sells shares, I want to see some REAL progress in the commercialization of this science. I don't want to see him participate in the little dance that's been going on around here for the past 9 months. His actions are very important to me on this issue.
Just one question Rayovac. And I guess Saint could respond to this also.
Do you find a 50% decline in this stock over a 2 week period even just a little disconcerting? Or do you feel it's just a matter of course? Just something that happens in pennyland and it's meaning is really trivial and indicates nothing.
Where did these pictures of Dean come from? Livin' the high life. Right on Deano.
Great post. I agree you can't do anything about it. There are only 2 points I'm making, of importance to me anyhow.
1) I think it's important to know what's going on with your investment. Whether you can do anything about it isn't my point. Just understanding all this makes it much clearer to me what is happening to the stock price. Instead of making me paranoid or jumpy, it actually calms me because I now understand what I'm seeing.
2) I AM NOT MAKING ANY ACCUSATIONS HERE. It is important to know whether Thompson is a party to this or not. AGAIN, I'M NOT SAYING HE IS, BUT IF IT WERE TO COME TO THAT......RUN LIKE HELL. If this is the best financing he can get, then that's fine. Even if he knows the lender's game, and has to stomach it, that's fine. We just don't want him to participate. We want him to build our company.
Yes, I compared KBLB to IBM. They are exactly the same. (BIG SIGH!!)
It was an EXAMPLE. Kind of like when we used DuPont as an example of a company that would be interested in KBLB in the future. (I hope you didn't attack Mojo when he mocked that example, because you just did the same thing.)
Somebody has to lose. If we all sell at 20 on the way down, somebody has to buy those shares. If they sell at 16 on the way down, cutting their losses, somebody has to buy those, and then they lose when they sell at 13 on the way down.
There is road kill all over interstate KBLB the past 3 weeks.
This company doesn't deliver news very often, but it has NEVER delivered any bad news at all. There should be very little retracement at all. Maybe 10% here, maybe 15-20 on a big run up. But this company puts out GOOD NEWS, the price runs on it, and we end up losing all the gain in a very short time. Any reasonable person would pause to wonder about that, wouldn't you think?
My problem with it is the connection between Calm Seas and StockWatchAlert/500 percent. I know there is still an argument as to whether this relationship exists, however, IMHO, Manshoon's DD proved beyond a reasonable doubt that this relationship does indeed exist. The naysayers are holding on to a thread that Michael McCarthy and Michael A McCarthy may not be one and the same person. Aside from that, Manshoon's DD connected the dots as solid as they could be connected.
Many companies, big and small, use their stock to secure financing. No question about that. It just makes me wonder though, when the financier is connected to a penny stock pump newsletter, when the financier requires no interest rate on the loan they made, and the financier imposes no payment schedule. The conclusions this leads me to are my conclusions, and anybody else can come to their own, but for me, it explains alot, particularly the huge swings in the stock price.
We had a 50% drop in 10 trading sessions. If this were IBM, it would be a catastrophic collapse, but for KBLB, if you listen to some people on this board, it's something to be expected, nothing abnormal, business as usual, it's your own fault for buying when you did, for listening to newsletters that are connected to our banker, who of course, is in this for the long haul (facetious).
Your welcome. I hope that I'm clear that I still believe that KBLB can be a winner, a big winner. But I see no harm in understanding everything that is going on, because IF things don't go as expected, it makes it easier to understand what may have gone wrong. It's better than sitting here for 6 months and just saying to ourselves...how come it's not a buck yet? how come it goes up and down like a yo-yo so much?.....It's much better, in my opinion, to understand who the players are, and what their function is, and how they operate.
Yes, banks are in the business of revenues. Calm Seas makes their revenues by selling KBLB stock into the open market. Read the LOC contract attached to post 25772. It says it very directly that Calm Seas will be selling KBLB stock into the open market. Nowhere is there an interest rate KBLB will pay, nor a payment schedule.
Saint, it's not JB2s playbook, it's Calm Seas' playbook. I'm sorry you don't agree, but looking at everything with an open mind makes it very hard to not come to the conclusions that the "JB2 camp" has come to.
And frankly, the way I explained how the LOC works is exactly how it works. Of course my statements about Calm Seas' attitude are my conclusions, but the actions of the stock price in recent trading sessions makes it hard not to come to that conclusion.
No, I do not. All I can go by on is what I see and my ability to add 2 and 2.
You're right, I'm wrong.
Go KBLB.
It seems that most people here don't understand how this LOC works. It's not like your 2nd mortgage where you borrow money and pay back a portion of principle plus a months interest every month. How this works is that when Kim makes a draw, he gets money by Calm Seas purchasing his stock. Calm Seas then engineers a pump to sell those shares into. That's how they get paid back. As long as they have confidence in their ability to pump the stock, they'll lend him money all day and night. Thompson never has to make a nickle because he's not paying them back, stock purchasers are paying Calm Seas back. Thompson just draws money from the LOC by selling Calm Seas stock, and they get their money back on the open market. It's not like KBLB is making monthly payments at 6% annual interest or anything. Calm Seas has no interest or concern whether KBLB ever does a damn thing. Their only concern is their own ability to pump the stock and sell their shares. They aren't betting on spider silk or anything else. Calm Seas is betting on their own ability to create an environment into which they can sell shares of KBLB into.
Correct me if I'm wrong, and explain to me at what annual interest rate KBLB is paying Calm Seas back, and also what is the schedule for repayment. KBLB will never make a payment on this loan. Calm Seas recovers their money by selling shares into the open market after engineering a pump to inflate the share price and attract new stock purchasers. Does that help explain why some of us STOCKHOLDERS don't like this kind of thing? Our lender has no concern or interest in our success, only their own ability to pump the stock price and get investors to buy at those inflated prices. This is why it's so damn important that Kim IS NOT a party to this. If he is, our Bahama dreams will soon be portfolio nightmares.
I'm glad you haven't given up on the board quite yet.
Question. If Zinc Fingers are being used to knock out the aspects of the DNA that make silkworm silk, how COULDN'T we have 100% spider silk? If all the strand no longer has anything it needs to produce silkworm silk, how could it only be 98% spider silk? How could there be 2% silkworm silk when there is nothing there to produce it?
Sorry if you've explained this already.
PR announcing the 1.5m LOC with Calm Seas.
