Better yet... Have Baltia answer one question.

Is the plane they have equiped with avionics that is capapble to fly within European Tolerances?

And since this 747 isn't going over the North Pole to get to Russia they must meet these requirements.

I'm told the answer is NO. So that puts Baltia at a major standstill,,, it is an issue that was overlooked when purchasing the older 747.

I still think there are big issues with FAA and someone knows it.

Just passing on what I heard. And no I'm not trying to avg down... I have what I have and am staying put.

I asked my father who is a pilot if it was possible that an older 747-200 might have a hard time getting FAA approval today due to older equipment on board and its compatibility with whats used today in the industry... He said yes FAA might raise issue but the EASA he would be more concerned about.

Hum... what are we trading at.... I would think that a new start up airline would have a little more interest from a lot more people if they in fact had all the information on the table.

You might be waiting a looooooong time. I'm in and letting my money ride....but my source indicates that the plane they have is not currently compatible with Euorpean frequencies etc...his buddy is one of the FAA employees who was reviewing the submission for certification and said they have some major problems.

Just passinging on what I know.
