After lunch the main money will figure out the major market indicators will not recover so they'll be falling back on small caps of interest, i.e, ANX. It will run this afternoon.
I think this means they know a buyout/merger is imminent and they want to get their officers in place before the bidding starts. Should be a nice week or two of trading unless they already have the deal cut and are just waiting until the conference to announce. Either way pps should really go up in the next few days.
When Lilly bought Imclone, Imclone's price was only $27.xx before any rumor run up began. Lilly paid $70.00 per share because of the potential pipeline drugs. You see, they dont' wait until approval to buyout, otherwise they'd be chasing the equivalent of a short squeeze. IMO partnership will be announced next week at conference.
Since March 2007, Dr. Kostas has provided advisory services to Boards of Directors of biotechnology companies, primarily in the area of strategic and partnering transactions, including ImClone Systems Incorporated prior to its sale to Eli Lilly and Company.
This sentence tells it all!!!!!!!!
I agree, this appointment was for buyout preparation.
New biomedreports just out w/link
Shares of Adventrx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AMEX:ANX) dipped down to below thirty cents again on Thursday after having risen to a high of over fifty cents earlier this month when the company announced an NDA filing for ANX-530. The news of the NDA was followed by a stock offering.

Those looking to speculate on the ANX-530 position could be looking at a nice entry point, in my opinion, below thirty cents. I feel we'll see at least fifty cents again before the FDA decision is announced - maybe more, depending on the market.
Buy the dips and play the volatility here, in my position.
Vinny Cassano also authors the popular biotech stock blog VFC's Stock House. He is long ANX, BMSN and SIGA
Here is the real video presentation of ANX stock price analysis:
I checked that guy's posting history. It doesn't look like he spins a lot of outlandish stories. But, his first post on ANX was January 2, so he probably bought above .40 after the initial big run up.
I guess if you're worried your company might be bought out you would want to secure your salary for the rest of the year?
I agree with your assessment vinny. But I think what caused this drop, which IMO is over, are the want-to-be-day-traders. They didn't get into this stock until it became newsworthy and had already gone from .20 to in the .3s. Most of these small traders jumped in in the .30s and got scared when we dipped below .30. I think most of those have been shaken out and we should see tome constant, but slow, gains in the coming days.
Next week will be one of the biggest market gains in over a year. All the talking heads and commentators will finally come to grips with the fact that Brown's election was the neutering of Obama. No health care reform, not cap and trade, and no other broad sweeping reforms. The market will love this conclusion and next week will boom.
Everything is red it seems like. We might get a bump up after Culley's responses are posted on Adam F....'s blog.
Check this out (LINK) these guys most always get it right.

There's no reason we shouldn't pass .40 today. Friday's late noon and ah sell off was by weak hands. We should recover everything today.
Breaking News!!!
Adam Feuerstein did not attend the San Diego convention in person. He watched a webcast. Don't take my word for it. Ask him to post his travel docs on his blog. He will not be able to do it. He is a liar.
I think the weak knees are done giving away their shares. We should see steady climb back now.
Look how strong the comeback is.
The price is already rebounding. This is where the newbies learn their lessons. They'll be kicking themselves for getting out by 10:00.
Someone posted here a while ago that the 10Q is out. But I can't find it. Anyone have info? This would be about when it would come out.
EOD rally?
You are probably right.
Look at the following message thread over on the yahoo GSK board. Look at the related posts too.

I think a better reference for Cully is his Jan 5, 2009, PR where he says they will actively look for a partner to forge ahead with their new products. No one would touch them then. but now we are the talk of the town so Cully should find some good prospects soon.
You might find this link interesting. Someone on yahoo board said it was circulating on the GSX board, which might be a buyout indicator.

We've got strength in the .41s. I think we will run strong the rest of the week with this one.
Slippery wet turd pattern is forming. Shorts won't be able to catch it.
Finra: Is there an article you can link to on Biomedsreports or are you just saying you have a source there? It is obvious they have been all over this stock.
Use the rule of opposite behavior. Do the opposite of what you think the market might do and you'll probably do well. Last night after the presentation my thoughts were certainly there would be a rush to dump shares in the pm. We are down a little but it looks like the buyers are there.
It doesn't look like their trading the warrants to we might have a good run today.
I know wild speculation about possible share price does nothing more than help convince unsure investors that they made a good investment. But, I can't help to think that given what happened to NEXM today with its measly little announcement, that ANX will make a good run if we get any kind of news at all. Certainly they'll be able to spin something positive from the presentation tomorrow.
It looks like those under the bid sales are done. We might move now.
Wow, look what NEXM is doing on its petty announcement that its oral med works. Just think if ANX announces something positive about its pipeline drugs. We will rocket.
Bogs, someone linked at on the yahoo board. I've seen the video charts several times. The website is something like effortlesswealth.com or something like that. If the the ANX board wasn't so damn active I'd go back and find it but you're talking about hundreds and hundreds of posts since last night.
Last night I watched a videochart presentation someone linked over on yahoo. These guys always seem to be pretty accurate. He said there will be resistance at .50, then she'll run to 1.20 with resistance, then the sky is the limit but said 2.20 is a pretty sure thing.
It shouldn't take near as long as a conventional phase study drug, since both drugs are basically existing approved drugs. But we will never make it there. One of the big companies will buy ANX long before approval. Waiting just runs the price up. I would imagine that the CEO will have some announcement at the convention about a "new partner" who will really be the company buying us out.
"No comment" means I cannot deny the rumor because it's true, so if I deny it I will get sued for publishing false information to shareholders. Bottom line, ANX has been contacted re a possible takeover.
You could be right but I was thinking most shorts probably bought in around .35 because the spikes above that were very short lived. So If they bought in at .35 I imagine their stops are at the most .40. You would think if you're stupid enough to short a 30 cent stop you'd at least set your stop at a half a penny from buy in. In any event, you might be right, at .35 we might see the scramble to cover.
There is a lot of weird movement in the small biotechs today. Itchy money I guess. ANX could run a little today.
One trading rule I live by is never try to jump on a boat that has already taken off. Yesterday, I see CYCC is up a dollar have been about a dollar. So my rule tells me stay at the dock. I look this morning and it is up to 4.00. Now had a broken my rule and traded it I'm sure it would have gone to .50.
ANyway, that's where the money is right now, at CYCC. When that cools down we will play again at ANX.
All the hype about the movement of this stock is really senseless. This company will be bought out w/in two weeks or so. After the "rumor" popped the other day I'm sure the all of the big bios in the cancer arena are crunching numbers to see what they can offer. All we have to do is hold and wait.
