And if I had to guess, I would honestly say this volume we ate seeing is a) LPC dumping shares and/or b) people who were sold the idea that the company was going to announce some kind of sweetheart underwriting arrangement which just seems so far removed from reality.
Who knows, some other fictitious date of importance could be proliferated and you could get a flip. In my experience here it's not too far fetched. Also in my experience here, the company will release some mundane financing news that dumps a bunch of shares on the market and there will be an uber buying opportunity. Waiting for that...
I have been too, I have been banging on the dilution drum for weeks now.
Yes, I've heard you every time, I am not arguing. If you read what I say you will see that.
I said *after* the dilution hits the market. ;)
Eltp suffers from dilution. Lincoln park financing is being tapped too often to see solid gains. I was in but took a small percentage loss and moved to the sidelines once I saw the trading activity over a few days. Good luck to all, I may be back in if it appears dilution is over and/or the price is attractive enough.
Lol that's ridiculous. It will go up when they announce how they plan on financing operations for the year and after the subsequent dilution hits the open market.
I believe the terms of the Lincoln arrangement is they sell as directed by Ocata (ie when Ocata needs the money).
Betting the farm and leveraging it here. Go, Google, go!
Aye, I agree, which is why I'm on the sidelines until the dust settles. Mine was merely an observation and a guess.
If I had to guess, I would say they are tapping Lincoln Park shares as we speak.
Well believe me, I love the company, and will be right back in after uncertainty clears up and the pps stabilizes one way or the other.
I hardly think its a 'dangerous time' not to be in OCAT. Fact of the matter is they are going to raise funds via dilution. And whether it's via a stock offering or through untapped LP shares, I see that pressure applying instantly to the pps. That's the risk of investing in small biotech though. Oh well.
I feel bad for people who bought yesterday, especially if they were led to believe that today, January 7th was some kind of special uplisting day where Ocata would announce 62.5mil raised as some here have been suggesting as more than fairy tale.
Lol, an OTC traders worst nightmare: typo on a limit order
Good read for a newbie like myself. Now let's see that NDA!
HNY to you sir, your post on the ocata board is what turned my attention to this stock. Thanks for the tip, good luck to you and yours in the new year!
Thank you for the quick reply sir, I just opened a position here. Cheers!
Lasers, nice to see a familiar name on another board.
Can anyone fill me in on the price drop that happened in the middle of the month here?
I would say all action should be treated the same. Fact of the matter is we are due for an update very soon. That update is going to dictate how the company plans to finance their operations going into phase 2 and possibly moving onto the NASDAQ. What really matters here is this key piece of guidance. I do not expect it to be pretty, that is why I am on the sidelines at the moment. Either way you play it, it is a total gamble. But the safer bet is to wait out this uncertainty. My experience with this company is if you're praying for the outcome to be good, the outcome probably will not be good. But it will survive and eventually thrive in my opinion. If you watch this stock day to day, just know that you're *gambling* on a positive outcome in terms of financing operations if your money is in play here.
*sigh* i'm back on the sidelines! Was hoping for the usual morning bump but seeing nothing of the sort and am now anticipating further share price depression. I will continue to attempt swing trades in lieu of some concrete news if I feel a good opportunity has arisen.
Back in for the speculative play at 6.29 - This sucka is way oversold. Plain and simple. Gimme dat monday morning pop!
That being said, there's no reason this stock won't be a winner, but the critical issue of how they are going to pay for it needs to be answered and weathered out first.
Lol, I love the enthusiasm. There is just no chance this thing is going to run until they announce how they are going to finance phase 2 trials. Believe me, I want to know, I will be right back in as soon as that looming question is answered.
I love that show. I for one am glad you found these forums. Your musings elsewhere are quite priceless.
Bleh I am back on the sidelines until we get a clearer picture on how we are going to finance operations.
The fact of the matter is OCAT is oversold. As much as people have been begging for a 'haircut' it just doesn't appear to be happening. Too much upside potential. Go Ocata!
Still looking for a better entry huh ;)
Wow opposite happened. I expected to get steam rolled today too. Maybe Christmas is coming early :P
When is a buying opportunity not a buying opportunity? When you're dealing with OCAT lol. Being that I'm back in I just hope it holds :P
Finally tore through the 6.70 block. Come on gap up!
Lol I'm clenching my butt cheeks in anticipation
6.70 block getting nibbled away. Let's hope it breaks through that.
Etrade has been slow to fill small orders for me over the last few days. It will execute blocks of a thousand and the remainder can take up to 15 minutes or so. At least that has been my experience.
It is a huge win. After uplist completes I expect the company will be on the horn day in and day out trumpeting this.
Anyway it's not important, I owe you one for when etrade was telling me it was only institutions trading and it was not open to the broader market ;) boy that was embarrassing! Stupid etrade..
No, you misunderstand what I said. 10:15 was around the time you made your post. You said it was now 6.60 but at the time when I read your post, it was back up to 6.70
Etrade streaming quote is not 20 minute delay
That was at 10:15, back up to $6.70
For what it's worth, ihub has always been accurate to the day when the switches in the past occurred. (Actc->actcd->actc->ocat) this is the first time ocat has switched to NASDAQ via ihub.
