I hope we hear back from Billy after his friend (Lawyer) looks into the new suit.
In the meantime, I've asked for a favor and with the info he provided we'll see if the stars align on these one.
I'll probably not hear anything until next week (Mon or Tues).
Ya'll have a great weekend!
Lucky
Billy, I don't think you can get a private msg with a free account?
I'm going to need one of the Claimants names to look this up. Could you help me?
Thanks again,
Lucky
Billy, you said it'll cost some money for us to get the info. How much are you thinking?
Thanks,
Lucky
And I asked you for more info on that document. I got no response....
I think the Utah Dept. of Envirnmental Quality would know what's happening in there own backyard.
Again, this "issue" which you brought to us is nothing more than a rumor...
As a startup company how many huddles would one expect before reaching the promised land? We all know it’s not an easy task to pull off, especially in the mining industry.
“issues with DEP/BLM/DOGM/EPA gone un-clarified”
I spent hours researching the "contaminated water" issue which in the end resulted in absolutely nothing supporting the claim. I checked with the Utah Department of Environmental Quality (all six divisions, including the Division of Drinking Water, Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste and the Division of Water Quality). All had nothing on Copper King. Please stop bringing that up as it’s clearly not true.
Thanks,
Lucky
Definitely a good read! Thanks for sharing it with us Nate.
Has anyone seen the "multi-page stock holder" release the poster was talking about?
"they fully expect to be able to file an earnings report by the third quarter." We know they've hired a firm to help them in this area. It certianly would be nice to see a 3rd qtr report!
Lucky
IMO that will not happen.
Lucky
Well, it gives us something to look forward to next year, eh?
Having the SX/EW up and running will definitely be a boon to CPRK and us shareholders.
Last I heard we could expect that to happen in early 2010.
Is that still a good estimate?
Lucky
I like your thinking but only if we get that "delivery" PR.
I’m a “the glass is half full” kinda guy… I haven’t voiced my personal feelings on how the company is being run or how they choose to deliver PRs. This is a start-up pink sheet company with no requirement what so ever to tell us anything (which to me explains the current pps). Yes, we’re publicly traded and I’m gobbling up shares with ever available USD! Since I’m long on Copper King, I sit here and think why we’re not hearing anything. Why haven’t they issued a PR. We’re not hearing anything because they’re not required to tell us every little bit of info or provide a status report every time they make a ton of con. I can sit here patiently and wait for the announcement of our first shipment. IMO, I think their counsel is 100% involved in every bit of info that leaves the mill and that’s slowing down the flow or making it ambiguous when it is delivered (I’m talking about CM type info there). I’m sure they have their reasons for handling this the way they are…
CPRK is a risky play… there are some very serious issues they have to overcome to pull this entire operation off but I’m willing to brave the storm (and the risk) with hopes of profitability.
How many pinks make it this far? We have a operating mill producing con and an agreement with Sempra to buy it from us. IMO, the cards are stacked in our favor and I truly cannot buy enough stock at these prices.
Just my 2 copper pennies worth there :)
Lucky
p.s. those are pre-1982 pennies!
Colorado’s assessment should help answer a lot of our questions.
I believe he said his vacation would be ~8 days. So we should be hearing from him very soon.
I’ve waited this long…. I’m willing to wait a bit longer :)
Lucky
+5 years here...
We received some info today from the Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste. The document below was requested by Copper King to get an EPA ID number.
=
=
=
Part 11 of this form shows 3 Waste Codes – D002 (Spent Acids), D008 (Lead) and D011 (Silver).
These Waste Codes are defined here in this Handbook (pgs 32 & 33) http://www.epa.gov/epawaste/inforesources/data/form8700/8700-12.pdf
After looking closer at this document (section 10a) we appear to be producing “non-acute hazardous waste”.
Nothing here points to the water contamination rumor.
BTW – we also heard from the Division of Air Quality today. They have nothing on Copper King.
Sleep well,
Lucky
I'm not following you on your R/S comment?? We're just talking about copper con shipment and the possible ways a price might be determined.
As far as I know, the R/S talk is all rumor. There has been nothing official submitted on that topic. Until we see an official doc showing us otherwise, I consider the issue dead.
-Lucky
I'm not 100% sure but I'd think the price is determined by taking the avg over the past 30 days. If this is true it makes sense. Protects both the buyer and seller from huge prices swings up and down.
Err, meant to say "30 day index"
The interview CM and Dave McMullin gave to Bill Chippas on the 23rd of July stated our copper shipment would be priced on a "30 index".
http://billchippasshow.com/
If you want to hear it for yourself it’s stated at 28:29.
Lucky
Looking forward to read what Colorado saw and heard today!
Hopefully he is able to post tonight.
Update - Our GRAMA request for any issues on the Mill, SX/EW, operations has been sent out to the six divisions that make up the Utah Department of Environmental Quality.
These divisions are:
Division of Air Quality
Division of Drinking Water
Division of Environmental Response and Remediation
Division of Radiation Control
Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste
Division of Water Quality
I’ll be receiving emails from each division informing us if there is or IS NOT any issue(s) we need to be concerned about.
For everyone that has taken a tour of the mill, you can rest assured that there is no issue with radiation (Division of Radiation Control,
Records Manger – Shaun Buttars).
I just want to be thorough and cover any other possible “issue” that could be brought up here as a potential issue with CPRK.
-Lucky (a.k.a. Rumor Policeman)
I was told by CM that "Economically feasible" meant 500-1000 tons of con.
I received an email from CM which talked about the alleged water contamination issue. He says the “State Water people” did stop by in July and gave the mill a “pass with flying colors”. The issue I believe Hammer has brought forward pertains to the SX/EW which requires some attention, “Clean-up” was the term used.
CM did make it very clear that the SX/EW issue in NO WAY interferes with the flotation mill operations.
I also just got off the phone with the Utah Department of Environmental Quality. I’ve submitted a request to get any issue(s) on the mill, SX/EW and all on-going operations. IF there are any problems we’ll have an official document showing us exactly what’s wrong.
-Lucky
I found out why I couldn't get a hold of the Department of Environmental Quality. They're closed on Fridays.
I'll try again on Monday morning.
-Lucky
I'm not gonna speak for the man but I'm sure if things get bad enough MD would sell some of his personal shares to float the company for awhile. Definitely my opinion there...
There are still a few options on the table for them and I'm sure they'll use them all if necessary.
Just emailed CM and attached the two documents provided in posts 31373 and 31455.
We'll see what he has to say.
BTW - I still haven't heard back from the Department of Environmental Quality or Division of Water Quality :(
-Lucky
Ah yes, that's right!
Does anyone recall how long his vacation will be and when he'll get back? Now if he took a laptop with him that would be perfect!
Has anyone asked CM if the site has been closed down? It's an easy Yes/No question.
Lucky
I have a voice mail out to Laurie Leib (Utah Department of Environmental Quality) and an email into Brianna Ariotti (Utah Division of Water Quality).
I’ll post more once I get an official copy of the public record. If this is for real we’ll have no problems getting the info we seek using the Government Records Assess Management Act (GRAMA).
More to follow,
Lucky
Thank you very much. Looking forward to getting to the bottom of this.
Lucky
Hammer, I need your help. I'm going to research this letter but I need more info.
I see there is a HQ Lead number: FY09-65595-3709-CV.
What organization issued this number?
Do you have a phone number for me to call to get more info about this issue? I'll glaldy pay the long distance fees to do a little DD on this issue.
I just want to lead a helping hand here to see if I can provide more info.
Let me know. Thanks,
Lucky
OMG! Funny you say that... I've recently been thinking these thoughts:
Dinner last night - $95 (9500 shares)
Got a full tank of gas this morning - $50 (5000 shares)
Trip to Vegas (not counting gambling funds) - $500 (50000 shares)
It's a sickness that appears to be spreading! :)
-Lucky
IMO we should see a 2-3 cent jump within 48 hours.
-Lucky
I know where you're coming from...
Some posters here seeks to persuade opinoions with hopes of a certain outcome.
We all know the risks here. But we also know there is a mill in Utah that's fully capable of producing copper con that'll at least meet the industry standards (29%) and Sempra will buy it from us.
It's just a matter of time....
-Lucky
Ben, I'd like to point out this line from our iHub User Agreement.
"Messages posted by individuals may be misleading, deceptive, or in error. If you disagree with a posting, feel free to voice your opinion. It is the policy of iHub to allow our members to freely discuss issues in a free and open manner, and we will not take sides in disagreements or disputes involving our members, so don't try to bribe us. We do however want the conversations to stay civil, on topic, and insightful."
It's good to reread it ever now and then. I helps me understand why some posts remain on the board.
For the most part I think we have a great group of investors on this board that provides both the good and bad about Copper King. Being informed it everything but take it all with a gain of salt :)
-Lucky
Wow!
Something either got fat fingered or we'll see a PR tomorrow. The PR that we've all been waiting for. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it :)
-Lucky
Did anyone catch the name of the "Firm" that was hired to help us with transparency?
CM tells me that we should assume our first delivery would be 500-1000 tons. Not a bad start :)
We'll just have to wait and see.
-Lucky
Eye, if we have new folks reading the forum, I think that last statement could be taken out of context. The past 3 months have been spent doing several things. I’d like to think that we’ve produced some kind of concentrate during this time period but the overall goal so far has been to ensure they have the process down and that all phases of the mill work as advertized. True production will start after we complete the Soft Start.
I just don’t want people to think we’ve been producing since May when we all know we weren’t.
-Lucky
Couldn't agree more Trueblue! I'll continue to accumulate shares until we hit 0.02.
