I guess my monitor would look like a mess then. You just might try this one instead <g>
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=2299
with an official statement that includes gems like this one?
'Following the issuance of the April 14, 2004 press release there was a significant increase in the price and volume of shares traded of Abatix stock which Abatix believes was not warranted by Company developments.'
http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/040421/215466_1.html
Surely Zeev would be able to make money out of the volatility but all people who are not belonging to his class should be very careful with this one IMO
Thanks, it has already been featured in the 04/02 revision.
I agree. Market has many signs of a shakeout now IMO. Haven't seen so many ST breakdowns in a while. Zeev pointed out a statistical significance of Wednesdays as turnig points. 04/22 might become one of these if AG tells the crowd that he didnt mean it that way. (Which I very much hope he will do as I'm quite involved now <g>)
I know that, thanks, I would not have asked for specific stocks but instead I was referring to your overall POV on global economics where your knowledge is certainly better than mine.
So you are seeing black clouds for the asias as well... I was wondering about strategies for the next bear move and deversifying toward seemed like a good idea so far. India, Korea and Japan are on top of my list right now in that order.
I have thought about eastern Europe as well but the quality there seems to questionable to me there.
Which of course brings me to the question what other possibilities would have better prospects. Care to share your ideas?
TIA
Andreas
Sorry, my beautiful Eliza, not yet, right now I have other duties as you can see at http://www.javajoes.com/MrHiggins/ (pls note that obviously I'm really late delivering the promised goods)
I'm still scribbling daily maps in my little notebook, though, and maybe when the time comes...Nah, time just yelled from under the sofa that I should forget about it...
You asked for it - you got it.
An overwhelming 84% think that the grids are helpful. I bow to the majority of the undisputed votes and will change the format right away.
Thanks to all who have expressed their opinion! As you can see, all suggestions are welcome (and might even be implemented <g>)
It looks like gridlines are exactly on the date.
I just zoomed in at 200 % and found things to be quite correct. 02/01 was a sunday and the gridline is set just between the data. Also Feb has had only 29 days and the 03/01 minor top of 2057 lies exactly on the grid. 04/01 is also displayed correctly.
If you zoom in to 400 % it seems that the grids even lie between days 31 and 01.
In any case it should be sufficient, there's no daily map. (Glad about that <g>)
Regards
Andreas
I decided against colour since the chart is 'sehr bunt' already, meaning quite colorful. Colors should be used to highlight the important information so grey fits the purpose better here IMO. Actually I would format them even in a lighter grey tone, but thats where XLs capabilities are limited, only 32 default +16 user defined colors are available and I would not want to change the userdefined ones as they fit me very well in other sheets. (in my XL97 that is, the later versions do have better features there AFAIK)
In any way, the survey's outcome seems to be clear already. The grids win.
ET - Thanks for pointing out the erraneous link, trial and error made me find out that the script did not accept the string ": http:" I have replaced the ":" with a <CR> and it seems to work now.
I was going to write about my hope that people will take the survey, about the click-barrier and about how its still easier to click a button than to write whole sentences but then I decided to check before and voila - 15 people have voted and its already obvious that most prefer the gridlines.
So be it - my thanks go out to you for introducing this obvious accepted improvement.
Andreas
Nice to see you on this board as well, if you like the grids pls vote for it:
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board_surveymenu.asp?board_id=2299
(this is a truly democratic thing happening here, as I will respect the outcoming of the elections <g>)
Survey on Roadmap Chart Format, please participate
ET wanted me to include vertical gridlines in the Roadmap Chart at http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=2299.
Certainly no big deal and in a way quite helpful but also maybe overloading the chart and nailing it too much on exact dates IMO.
I kindly ask all of you who make use of the Raodmap Chart to vote for your preferences here http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board_surveymenu.asp?board_id=2299 and make the Chart a better source of information for this board
TIA
Andreas
I'm still not convinced, but then I'm always open to positive changes, so let's vote on it. Survey is open now, so be sure to vote for your POV if you want to see the grid permanently
Always glad to offer you some extra cheese <g>. I did not post it on the board though because IMO the chart becomes a bit overloaded by this grids. Unfortunately Excels graphic capabilities are relatively limited and I want to keep things simple.
Another reason to leave them out might be the uncertainity of timeframes, as the turnips IMO deserve their rights to be wrong, not only in vtargets but in timing as well. (You can always pick up a ruler and hold it against the monitor <g>)
Use your own judgement and tell me your preferences (Everybody else, too, of course, comments and suggestions are allways welcome) I might even start a poll and feel real important, LOL
Thanks, Zeev, for helping out while I was away.<g> (Didn't know you are even reading the msgs on this board...)
Your post gave me the idea to include references to the relevant msgs and I will implement this 'feature' in a while.
Minor Roadmap Chart Replenishment, interesting though.
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=2299
Have a nice weekend...
Roadmap Replenishment (just filled up the chart) at http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=2299. You can show it to the ankle biters...
Funny BTW, how the coalescence model came in a week late while the tops are a week early so far.
providing the lenses for the billions of surveillance cameras... LOL (or not?)
Very Small Roadmap Chart Replenishment
I have just filled up the last couple of days, no January prognosis yet.
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=2299
I'll be gone for the next week, hopefully no major catastrophes until then.
Happy Holidays to you all
Andreas
Do you want me to enter this in the chart? I was planning to do a replenishment later tonight anyway since I'll be gone for the next week...
and then a post election sharp rebound, going probably into the first few days of January 2005
BTW, although you were not the one pointing out BSTE to me (it resided for a long time in my 'pebbles on the shore'-watchlist after I read an article about them), your comment made me reevaluate my target for reentry and guess what, the doublecheck made me a whole buck, it got filled yd @ 36.23 instead of the planned 37.23. So I decided to split the difference with charity, not a real huge sum but a little something at least anyway since BSTE is a better position of my folio.
Forgive me if I don't donate to http://www.aleh.org/ (seems to be expensive for a German) but I have contacts to a place that works with people suffering from down syndrom.
That made me think that with your permission I might set up something similar on the chart board like you did with Aleh since every penny helps organizations like these. Could very well be that somebody made (more) money by looking at the chart and will share some of his profits.
No, Zeev, please don't even think of it...
I hope you don't expect a three month map to suggest what every single day will be doing....
Andreas
Corrected.
I considered it a major revision, since it came at the quarters turn and changed the map somewhat for the first time instead of updating it, but then again youre absolutely right to call it a plain revision only since you did not alter your stance.
The 1842 bottom was still there in the 'old map' chartline but I have 'misplaced' the XL cell reference in the 'current map' chartline. I have moved it in front again so its showing in red now as a part of the actual map. Looking better now I hope.
And, indeed, your call was on the button. Please note though, that 1913 and 1842 were entered as a range from the Jan. Roadmap and I have never added the 1887 for the most probable bottom as it resides inside of the range.
It's actually quite tricky to convert your figures into a still readable chart as there are so many numbers and forks. And sometimes I make sloppy mistakes, too. Therefore I always notify you of changes so you can check out if you like the picture.
Just take a look at Europe. We do have this problem already and theres every reason to believe that it will increase further before the unemployment part will solve itself.
if there are too few workers to support soc sec, then its unlikely that unemployment is going to be a problem
Notes on 04-02-04 major revision.
As you probably know the farmer has supplied new targets and timetables for the Roadmap 2004. After posting the chart first time he asked me to broaden the late August top which was done easily but took me two days to find the time - thus the differences to the last update mails (Remember to enter the list if you want to get notified of further updates)
I have also inserted the former map for comparison in a light unobstrusive turqoise, we will have to find out though if the graphic eventually becomes 'overcharted'.
Comments and wishlists are welcome and will certainly be considered.
Andreas
Hah, I found it again - although it was trying really hard to hide from me this time, but here you go...roadmap corrected...
Andreas
If I only could find the sofa to look under it - time has fled me again. (and then there the pain in the back, of course, lots of reasons to refrain from work)
Hard times for me, I guess, but I'll do this tomorrow by lowering the lower August fork and broaden the top somewhat (Hope I got your meaning right on this one).
For whatever reasons I can not imagine yet XL did unfortunately not plot the steady data interpolations as a straight line, these wobbly lines look like untrained freehand drawings and somewhat insult my architects eye.
Past midnight here and I'm going to sleep for now (in the bed and not on the sofa) - enjoy your well earned grapes.
Andreas
Another Major Roadmap Chart Update
Zeev is really keeping me busy. In case you have not seen it, he laid out the first revision of the 2004 Roadmap
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=2749633
New targets and a new timetable.
See it all at
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=2299
Have a nice weekend
Andreas
my, you're really keeping me busy <g> (but then i have to admit that these are exiting times).
I will have to look under the sofa again...
Roadmap Chart Updated
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=2299
I cheated on the projection of the lines in the sand, since it would have been quite some work to interpolate the figures to show the resistance points (doing this in Excel, btw) so I choose to draw some more lines, everybody should get the meaning (i hope)
That was the yahoo ticker symbol for degussa, since you asked. Sorry I forgot to mention this.
Has anything in the close changed the storming bull suit to sort of MNST again? Asking this b/c we closed exactly on 2007 and I'm about to update the Roadmap Chart according to your last call.
(Yes, I found it, time was just hiding under the sofa)
Try DGXG.DE on Yahoo
Didn't know so far that they were into 'nano', always thought of them as another (rather good one, though) chemical manufacturer which i'm rarely interested in. Of course I'll check now and eventually tell about my findings.
Another company to check out might be FEIC, they sell the shovels to the diggers and actually do earn money.
Better than a nanobucker, no?
Just the Nonabucker way behind NVEC today
and I thought us Germans had difficult taxforms...
might want to check out SYNC, nearing support.
no, sorry, I was talking about LCAV (thought you were, too).
