Tomorrow morning is from Davos. I just listened to him the other day at the fsoc meeting. Yellen was to his right and Watt to her right. I thought it was interesting that no one brought up housing reform. They have in the past.
As long as there is plenty of wine and spirits!
Interesting family :)
Can't get it? Did you intercept a federal reserve shipment or what?
PGA3, Lew is on CNBC tomorrow morning and Watt is before the House banking committee on Tuesday, so get your questions in! :)
Thanks Travel5!
Thanks for the update. Has he hosted conf call before on Fannie, Freddie?
Tomorrow, Friday 23rd
@CNBCnow: FIRST ON @CNBC: Treasury Sec. Jack Lew sits down with Joe, Becky, and Andrew at 8:15a ET tomorrow from Davos. http://t.co/1SnFye15wZ
That sounds right.
That seems to be a big weigh on the pps. Investors don't like going up against the U.S. gov, and they don't like uncertainty. I'm betting we'll prevail.
Confusing because Pershing (Ackman) filed two cases shortly apart. One is connected with Perry Capital news, (recent dismissal) one is in Sweeney court.
Perry started before Pershing
Ok, but Ackman is Pershing Square
Agree in part that the latest Ackman ruling is bigger than showing in pps. Some like to assume gov will always have the upper hand. This is a complicated issue that just might have to be decided piece upon piece. IMO
expecting action to upside with pps then
on TV now :) will look for link
Icahn coming up on CNBC
Risky, I'm still going to go out on a limb and say that we're going to get some action to the upside by mid-February. Hints of positive court news should start to roll out. IMO

Icahn CNBC 12:30 est
@Carl_C_Icahn: I’ll be speaking with @ScottWapnerCNBC on @CNBCFastMoney at 12:30ET. We’ll be discussing recent events at $EBAY, $GCI and more.
Dabeav, nothing new on pacer for Fairholme. We should hear maybe Monday if status conf on Wed.
"We maintain that value inevitably attracts price. We swing big at our best ideas. Dips and downturns are our double espressos. If it's not ridiculously cheap it's not our cup of tea. And when the crowd stampedes left, we advance right -- with courage of conviction."

Hopefully this will be just the start of good court news! I guess we'll probably hear Monday if there will be a status conference Wednesday.
Ya bring back the big Fannie runs.
OK May 11th it is. Sweep needs to stop before that, next earnings report mid February, hmm.
Where did Bradford get the info?
Bill Ackman and Harold Ford Jr. are both in the news today for Fannie, Freddie. They're both born on May 11th. How about that one? jk
good then
@carney: Ackman wins! Court just said he really did voluntarily dismiss one of his $FNMA cases. How that a win? Read here: http://t.co/SfpEKL6edn
Good news? but Carney's trying to spin it?
Everybody is waiting for somebody. It's no surprise it takes the hedge funds to get anything moving. Imo.
It was being streamed live. I don't know if they are going to replay it. It was mostly about banks and the SIFI, FSOC rules. I empathize with Metlife, seems like a mini conservatorship. I hope that our country never tries to put private companies, publicly traded under conservatorship again. imo. I thought it was interesting how Watt was there. In the past they have addressed housing reform, but not this time.
Seated to the right of Lew is Yellen and to the right of Yellen is Watt, hmm...They didn't bring up housing reform this time, but they have in the past.
looks like Mel Watt is there too.
Treasury meeting with FSOC beginning shortly.
Is that all going to DOJ?
In the afternoon, the Secretary will preside over an open session of the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC). Deputy Secretary Raskin will also attend. This event is open press. A live webcast of the open session will be available at www.treasury.gov/press-center/Video-Audio-Webcasts/Pages/Webcasts.aspx.
