I understand it is only temporary. Baghdad Bob is to be made Bush's press secretary next.
Terry
Matt,
"No idea what boards they pay to view" True! I am one, and pay to view this one as one of several.
Terry
Small hedge position in a partially owned Aussie gold firm. In the overall picture not much. They do have legal problems, but that too may be changing. At one time it was the African gold mine to have. It could do really well, but is carrying a lot of baggage on its way. Not trying to promote it.
Terry
Zeev,
Drooy does not have any hedges. They got out of the hedge business in the summer or fall of last year, and are currently exposed 100% to the price of gold. Their problem currently is the significant short position taken against them, and the strengthening rand to the dollar. That may change.
Terry
Cytotekk,
Do not think I said who, but they sure got better looking at closing time.
Terry
Matt,
I think they all went out for a beer. Said they had to meet Annie or Colleen or Susie. Here is the picture that one of them sent.

Terry
Sherlock,
Try JP Morgan, and a few other big boys. Yes, they can keep their mouths shut, as they have some of their own money on the "right" side.
Colleen,
"Bender was nasty." Yes, that is a man thing when one thinks the thinking of someone is the wrong way.
My back door info says that the grades will be a good thing, and a surprise to all. The interesting part is that to me it does not matter what it is at this point. If it continues at what they have already seen, it is still a viable situation. They still have not gotten into the "good" stuff yet.
Terry
Colleen,
Do not call the exchange with Claude on SI nasty, not after what I have seen over here on several threads. I agree that Claude is a welcome addition to the SI Myng thread, but I think he can hang in there with the big guys. Seems to be handling it very well. At least he keeps coming back for more, so I think that he definitely has an interest.
Terry
That is how I feel in my stock investing! Ha.
Terry
Certainly was not worth anyone paying for. Glad I did not. Am sure that Mike needed the money, after all he really deserved it. I am sure that he had a bad childhood, and had been put upon as a child. Sure that whatever money he made will be gone within the year. He needs matts book on investing for dummies for sure!!
Terry
No, he won the tatoo of the year award. It was given away at the grammies!
Terry
This is the part that I like best!!

Will be providing that information once they have had a chance to process it. Maybe a week or so.
Terry
Marcos,
"i have no idea how National Instrument 43-101 would apply to small bulk samples such as this, but i suspect to satisfy it you'd need some bang-up detailed documentation on a methodical pattern of sites on the property, and probably yes some big-bore drilling to get furnish to run through the concentrator in order to accurately determine grade at various depths"
Myng intends to drill into the bottom of a "mountain", and use block caving to obtain the ore (at least at some locations). Once they have done this for a few years and at several locations, and pull ore from many depth's, they will have done the sampling. If they obtain gold in a certain % that they can sell at a given alloy---that in my opinion is as good as all the testing in a lab that could be done by National Instrument to small bulk samples.
If at that point they have pulled "real" samples from all the locations that the SEC would require, than that in my opinion is totally valid to determine the actual total amount of the resource. That is my argument.
Terry
Marcos,
You had to pick out the most provocative one of course. I do think that Claude is an excellent addition to any board, but there are a lot of "old timers" that think that his evaluation of this mine is not up to his normal stuff. I do feel that he is very patient, but has always required that any mine to be valued has to spend millions on sampling. That is the only way to value the mine to its fullest share value. I for one do not agree with this. Many mines have been valued much higher than their value by this method. Myng is going in a different direction. They know in their hearts that there is gold there, and have done their own sampling. No drilling as Claude would like. They now are going to mine to prove the value of the deposit. They say mining can provide the total resource, Claude says no.
That is the basic difference of opinion. Makes for a good argument.
Terry
Slaphappy,
Hopefully will be out the first of this next week, of course it will be on Bolivan time. Sure that you are aware of what is to come. It should actually be some really good news for shareholders.
Terry
The Num Lock is right next to the num keys!
Dan,
I am in total agreement. I too had read Saville's work, and what was written was taken from it. Saw his "John Disney's" answer in the jail thread, and was totally turned off. Was surprised that Matt let him out. Must have been done privately. Do not know. For one, I would rather have anything you print, and hope you will stay either way, but this thread would be better off without Mr. Disney!!!!!!!
Terry
Thanks Dan,
I had read those, and that is why my funny accounting comment. I still hold most of mine, but will sell if and or when the yellow metal goes up. Have some issues, but did really well during the last gold run up, primarily on the US side.
Terry
basserdan,
WOW! A stock that actually made a profit:
http://www.drd.co.za/
Up 54% for the quarter. Must be funny accounting. Never know about those foreiners. At least they are not AOL at the moment! Wait until Ted gets done with them after he is gone.
Terry
Newly,
Why not put OT, (off thread) or NR (no response) or NDR (no direct response) in front of a message that is not a direct response. Do not think the powers that be will go back, so got to learn how to live with it. The one who makes the rules usually win the game! Need to learn to go with the flow.
Terry
Agreed! Drooy has had their financial problems in the past, but are back on track. They have had a change in management, and settled all problems with their workers. To be honest they were close to major problems with a work stoppage, and some funny financial goings on. That is now behind them. They have one of the largest "short" positions against them, but if this stock decides to run, this will only work in their favor.
Terry
OH ole DIGGER! You are back. I love it when you talk nasty. You are such a sweet---heart when you get angry. How is ole Myng doing without you? Do you get to lurk? Hope it goes down so that all the shorts will get rich. Love your tenacity. Speaks well of you and yours. Do you treat your boat the same way?
Terry
basserdan!
WHAT!!! There are actually people that short the miners? How dastardly. How dare they mess in our douky! Tell them to stop that immediately. That makes us want to go back and go long Amazon again.
Terry
Absolutely on cue!!
ABX is one that could become another Bre-X. Cambior and Ashanti were in that ball park too. Again have to do your DD. All gold-bugs rue the day of the Bre-X debacle. For one, I did not have that one.
Terry
ARBA, INKT, AKAM, CHKP etc also were doing fine. Do you still keep them?
NO! One I have kept for two years. The rest have been sold. Bought oil service stocks when oil was $9 a barrel, and sold last year. Do not hang on forever!
Terry
The three top performing funds for the last 2 years were gold funds, so I would strongly suggest that you immediately sell all related stocks:o)
Terry
Dan,
Are you a trader or do you have a long term view?
I am both! I have a large core position, but have been making money trading on the swings. Just have patience with these, and they will do good. Could leave some behind, but that is OK as money can be made on the ups and downs. That is probably why I like to lurk here.
I am in a small stock that will be a big winner. It takes a lot of DD, but once you understand the potential and what they have, one has to participate.
As in all stocks, one has to know your Companies and market forces.
Terry
Currently at $360. Got to keep current!
Terry
Keep at it basserdan! A lurker who likes this thread, but who is also heavily into PM stocks. It's day is coming and probably sooner than later. Yes, there is some bad ones out there, but one must do their own DD, just like on any stock or market.
Terry
Good Job Jim,
Glad to see you off the jail list!
Terry
Thanks AKvetch!
Churak,
How do you post the moving comics and post the sound? Is there a place to go to show how that is done? Is there also a place to go to pick up the gif's and wav's?
Terry
Dear Gotmilk, Alais DougAK,
Do not think that Digger or Anne will ever escape from Jail. They must look within themselves in order to determine the best escape plan. They are spending all their time trying to determine the best course to take to keep all others out of Jail so that they can espouse their words of wisdom on their "own" thread. Do not think they can comprehend the idea of outside! They have found their safe space and intend to stay. It is their "snow fort". What they need to understand is that spring and summer is on the way, and for some reason forts made of snow tend to melt at higher temperatures.
I do not find them nasty, just misdirected. In order to state their side, they just attack those who disagree. They do sometimes present a bit of wisdom, but then will not respond to questions presented. Debating 101 NOT!
JoeMoney may find it in himself to evaluate his situation in a manner that will lead to looking outside the jail. That is the best place to start.
Terry
Doug AK,
Did I tell you that I absolutely love berry's! I really like the blue ones, but they make me feel sad especially when I am visiting the dark side in the jail. I especially really like the ras ones too. They are ever so good, especially coming from one with such a sweet tooth. I must admit that i did not see the sign over the shower room. I had not made it back that far, and the lights were out when I was visiting. I heard growling about the Master Jailer, and became very scared. Stuff happens.
Terry
SoxFan,
"They have virtually zip for a credit line and need to generate cash by selling stock."
Most start Ups are like that.
"They have had at least two exploratory drillings that do not appear to have panned out."
This is not a deposit that lends itself to exploratory drilling to determine "pan out!" In fact it was lucky that they only drilled two wells as any more would have been a waste of time and money. As I said, this one is different than most "normal" gold adventures. It is not a hard rock mine. To really know whether or not to invest, do not look at the financials, but look at the type of deposit they have and how they expect (already proceeding with a trial system) to extract the gold. They have really come up with an innovative method of extracting fine gold that never before has been possible. If it works, this mine will make investors money. If not, well the alternative is possible. If you do not want to invest---that is fine. There are a lot of us that do.
Terry
Now Now Digger, be careful. Now you are stepping on my toes again! You know---the twinkle ones! I told you that I actually sent Matt money so that I could reply to you on the jailhouse thread. You had to either be here or have a pass to post. You already know that I spend my money the way that I like, and do my own DD on things. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose, but at least you do it to yourself. I have checked out the attitude of IHMatt, and feel that he has been very polite to all posters! Can he be cruel? IE tough love? well I guess so, but after all, this is his cookie jar. He can dispense cookies to those he chooses.
Change your attitude that everyone hates you, and maybe you would obtain what you really are after. Would be interesting to try!
Terry
SoxFan,
The executive pay is high; however some are the ones funding this operation. The history is pretty complicated, and would be difficult to go over here. This is a mining operation that is not like any that have been done before. There is info on their website about what they hope to do. One has to be an engineer or "believer" (I happen to be both)in order to invest in this one. I have been a long term investor, and recently increased when the price fell. As some would say, it is gambling money, but then it does belong to me. Digrdug who has been on every Myng thread was very opposed to this mine and fought all who invested. There are still people who will say to stay away, and they have very good reasons. There really is two sides to this one, and it is advised to look very carefully to both sides. It is important to know if the person telling you their side is a holder of stock, a non-holder, or are shorting the stock. The shorters will be the ones that are quiet about their holdings.
Good luck with your investments,
Terry
SoxFan,
Financials are those of a start up---no revenue exploration mine. All spending and no revenue until recently. One just has to believe. Their methodology has not even been totally proven, and cannot project any resource because of the way they are doing things. On the other hand, what they have appears to be very innovative and could pan out for all investors. This Company goes back about 5-7 years. As stated by others it is important to do your own DD, and to take any opinion with a grain of salt. Financial decisions should always be your own!
Terry
