Look at TASR, XM Satelite, Serius Satelite, etc. to get a feel for large float companies that went balistic when their technology took off. Right now, 334 Mil. outstanding shares may still not be a hugh number in comparison to the demand for NEOM's technology when they ink their first US Service Provider contract. Most important are their patents behind their technologies. All the Best, JP

I'm sure you're not ignorant my friend. A VC could be brought in and acquire a % of shares to be held in lock-up. It may mean loosing an equal % in ownership, but the management wouldn't have to give away much more than maybe 20% or so. This is one of countless creative financial deals which could be struck that are non-dilutive and non-toxic. I am not a securities attorney, but we all believe there are much better financial arrangements out there than the one we have had for years now with the likes of Cornell capital. All the Best, JP

The thing I don't get is...
why is there a glut of shares being consistently sold bought here at the $0.023 to $0.028 range?
IMO the majority of shareholders this past year have not bought anywhere near these rock bottom levels, so they would not sell for a profit at these levels either.
Are we in essence watching an exchange of shares being sold to Kelly Co. by CDED in the open market? Is the fact that very few others long term investors are buying, giving Kelly Co. an advantage in their favor? All the Best, JP

Telecom's Next Wave: Alliances
TECH KNOWLEDGE
By Todd Rosenbluth / Edited by Karyn McCormack
The partnership between wireline provider CenturyTel and Cingular Wireless shows the industry's future direction
On Sept. 20, rural wireline carrier CenturyTel (CTL ; ranked buy; recent price: $33) announced that it will return to the wireless market, though on a much smaller scale than before. The telco signed a wireless reseller agreement with Cingular Wireless, with service to be launched late this year. The announcement comes on the heels of the partnership formed in August with EchoStar Communication's (DISH ; hold; $30) DISH network to offer satellite-TV service to CenturyTel's customers. Advertisement
CenturyTel left the wireless business in 2002, selling operations covering some 700,000 subscribers to Alltel (AT ; buy; $55), because it couldn't compete against the national wireless carriers. What's different about its latest foray into wireless? Two things: First, CenturyTel is partnering with an industry-leading company rather than running its own network, and second, the company will most likely bundle together wireless service with wireline, DSL, and broadband products to offer to customers.
BIGGER PIECE OF THE PIE. With growth in traditional wireline services slowing, CenturyTel is going after a larger share of consumer spending on enhanced communications services. Consumer spending on bundled communications services, which includes wireline, wireless, Internet, and cable or satellite TV, has been climbing. According to market-research firm TNS Telecoms, households spent $160 a month, on average, on communications services in the second quarter of 2004, up 3% from the first quarter.
CenturyTel, along with such telcos as Qwest Communications (Q ; hold; $3.10), SBC Communications (SBC ; avoid; $26), and Sprint (FON ; avoid; $20), is competing fiercely with other local wireline, wireless, and cable-service providers, leading to losses in local-access lines. Looking ahead, competition will only grow with the launch of Internet telephony and the expansion of wireless broadband networks.
But unlike earlier periods, when telcos ratcheted up capital spending to boost growth and gain customer loyalty, partnerships are now the vogue as carriers try to reduce debt. Indeed, SBC cut its long-term debt by nearly 6% in the first six months of 2004. What makes the partnerships appealing is that they let one company provide new services to customers, while allowing its partner make use of excess capacity to become more efficient.
STRANGE BEDFELLOWS. S&P believes we're likely to see more of these partnerships in the future. In certain markets, partnerships help wireline carriers compete with cable-TV providers such as Cox Communications (COX ; hold; $33) or Time Warner (TWX ; accumulate; $16.50) for broadband customers. The partnerships also give EchoStar and other satellite providers a chance to lure customers away from cable TV.
To be sure, these partnerships sometimes make strange bedfellows. Before coupling with CenturyTel, Echostar partnered with SBC and Sprint. And in addition to the EchoStar alliance, Sprint has been partnering with outfits in other sectors of the communications industry. In 2004, Sprint began providing wireless services under the Qwest brand to Qwest's customers in the Western U.S. And Sprint is teaming up with cable companies in markets where it does not operate as a local carrier.
In late August, Sprint signed an agreement with Mediacom Communications (MCCC ; hold; $6.70), the eighth-largest cable operator in the U.S., which will allow the cable company to provide phone service in itsmarkets. Sprint will assist in switching and provide operator and directory services. Mediacom anticipates launching phone service in selected markets in the first half of 2005.
We expect more of these communications partnerships as companies seek to offer multiple high-quality services at a reasonable price. For telcos that don't currently offer wireline, wireless, cable/satellite TV, and Internet services, these alliances are imperative. And while it's too early to say for sure, we think these linkups will lead ultimately to greater revenues and customer loyalty.

Critical Mass is defined as having been reached when 10% of the affected subject matter (in this case the population) have been influenced and/or altered. We all know that the SP is the ticket into the arena for the show. What if the SP's are slow to accept NEOM's offer for marrage? Not because they want to say no, quit the opposite. What if all the legal red tape were to take an incredibly long time to get proper legal clearances. Encumbered by numerous state regulations (which vary tremendously from state to state) maybe an impedence to NEOM right now. What if I-Point were the ticket around the SP's?
Note VideoCentric's (an authorized reseller of I-Point) advertisment as follows:
"A Bridge to the Desktop with NO cost endpoints."
Could this be an end pass around the SP's until the SP bureaucratic red tape is ironed out? In other words, can NEOM's PaperClick on cell phone link to a proposed Brand Partner thru I-Point's streaming video systems?
Get this: I-Point's product integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Office™ products "with files held locally by the server(s) and no requirement for participants to download data." All the Best, JP

Excellent perception on your part; albeit I've always held you in high esteem for the exceptional quality of posts that you have contributed over the last year or more.
Deutche Telecom and Sony are the powerhouses behind I-Point. However, I-Point is based in Tel Aviv, Israel. I understand there is alot of inertia in this play and you are correct for pointing out the expediency at which it has and is being negotiated.
When I think about government contacts, I think about the US Dept. of Defense. The USDOD has been mentioned more than once recently and I suspect Ron Parsons w/SRP or SAIC (as you've mentioned) maybe forging ahead with developments along these lines. From what I've read, I believe Relyco has more of a grasp on Check 21 than it does on PaperClick. Ad visa versa with SAIC and PaperClick.
I'm unclear how this all ties in with a european steaming media company involving I-Point, with products such as Visual Theatre, Visual Chat, Visual Lecture and Visual Workgroup. What's the connection? I understand that the next couple of months are crucial for NEOM. Check 21 takes effect this Oct. 04 when all banks, lending institutions, credit unions, financial thrifts, etc. must be in compliance with the new federal reg's. But whats the connection with I-Point and the government...unless we are talking about the EU? Does Virgin have any ties with I-Point? Does Virgin have any ties with Deutch Telecom or Sony? We need to hit the DD trail here again gang.
Also, in order to be able to officially launch PaperClick, we will need a Service Provider (ATT, Verizon, Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile, Nextell, etc.) before we get off the launch pad. Its the same on the other side of the pond as well. The SP is the only entity tha can "Throw the Switch" and make the connection between the user and NEOM's data base loaded with Brand Partner URL's.
Having paperclick preloaded in Nokia's 3650 and 3660 camera phones is a powerful commodity; not only for the public domain but for private companies, public companies and the government as well. But without an SP, IMO we sit on the launch pad waiting for lift off. The SP is the missing link which needs tobe hammered-out in order to launch.
All the Best, JP

RFID growing fast...
When I spoke with Chaz last week, he said that he was extremely focused on RFID. Its amazing that another company I own CDED (which has been struggling like all my stocks) has formed a multi-million dollar alliance with Kelly Companies to distribute e-prescriptions to the medically uninsured here in the US. The new company NexGenesys will be publicly traded by absorbing CDED - an existing OTCBB. They are project $175Mil. in revenue in the first 12 months of operations. This article not only highlights how hot the RFID sector is right now, but also my place one of my holdings in a law suit position with NEOM for patent infringement...Go figure! All the Best, JP
