The PR said they chose the one that worked the best. I don't think there is any other motive.
It seems to me most of your questions could be answered by asking Leo but instead you pose the questions to the board. Leo has always been good about answering emails.
Just email Leo and ask him.
Farrell90, great find! Dumb question. Is this something that they would PR?
I don't agree. Merck will be forced to protect their investment and what better way then having a brand new class of antibiotics.
Is there a downside to choosing vanco?
NR, can ctix decide on their own which drug they will use against B in the phase 3 or will the FDA have a say? Thanks
Maybe it's a PR firm!
When was the gap?
Why .70? Why not .50 or .40 or .80? You keep mentioning. 70 as if it's some magic number.
If a reverse split was such a good idea then why didn't he announce it in advance and why did he announce it after hours?
Well said. Great post Blzzy!
Well said Chemdeps!
And I can't believe that the FDA would give them a QIDP if the study was flawed.
I think the reason they had it labeled "by invitation" was to make sure that the patients were similar and that they kept out patients that were medical train wrecks because B had three arms of the study so in theory they would get a disproportionate amount of the those patients. Just my guess.
Thanks TOB for all your efforts!
No the pps is down 50% but you have only lost 50% if you bought at the high and sold. There is a big difference.
Both he and the lawyers have to pay taxes.
Couldn't agree more.
Good point thanks
Thanks for posting. Do we know what time the info will be available? I would assume its in the am some time and then we are what 7 hours behind? Thanks
NR, what news are you expecting first?
Nice call TD!
Thank you
NR do you have any thoughts on how big the phase 3 trial will need to be? Thx
Have you spoken to Leo about hiring a PR firm? I think it would be money well spent.
Thx NR. They must be confident in B now. The other thing makes me think Leo is confident is the hiring of three new executives.
What was the follow up discussion about? Was the attendancein the room good? What are your feelings about the chances for a deal for B in the next 3 to 6 months?
NR, thanks for the post. I am excited that you like the numbers and I can't wait for your reports from SF next week.
Examples ofCompanies with dual class shares: Google, Ford, Berkshire Hathaway
I Keep wondering why Dr M would give up half of his shares of the entire company for a dispute over K which is only one of three drugs. If K wasn't showing potential wouldn't he have tried to settle for less. Just wondering
I don't think Dr. J would sign on as CMO if the numbers didn't look good.
Thanks sox! Awesome list. Happy New Year!
BK what is your take on the pr this am?
Well said Miles. Couldn't agree more. They deserve it.
An infected tka is a disaster for the patient.
I sell for one of the largest total joint companies and I can tell you this would save the hospitals and the healthcare system millions of dollars each year.
If the Merck cubist deal goes south cubist will have $250m and a need for a new block buster.
NR, do you think we will understand the potential of K efficacy with the current study?
I couldn't agree more.
