Spanks, you need to go back to school:
Look at posts found on the beginning of this thread and the ones that were carried over from RB and Atomic Bob's. You'll need to focus on the relationship between MusiKube, MSFT and what MusiKube was installing at Virgin's entertainment stores.
The last post I posted has nothing to do with your inference.
Virgin's cellular network and Virgins CD music scanner are 2 completely different OS's. Its all there, in black & white. Just read my friend. You will feel mo-betta when you know what you own. Trust me. All the Best, JP

No takers for the position I see...
Hmmm...what a bunch of light weights
In all seriousness, I did not expect to see the enormity of responses I got to my post. I didn't expect to get any response at all. I mean, I didn't put it out there for that reason. So I was really blown away by all of your genuine posts and sincere E's which I've recieved.
In taking a step back and refocusing on what my purpose is to the boards and why I choose to do it, I realized that I've developed a sort of attachment here with you people; and that its more than just (hyper) space between us, but actual friendships. I didn't realize it, but I'm humbled to be amoung you.
I have an intense passion for life. I love to fly high, fast and burn alot of fuel. Sometimes I forget where I am because of it, and sometimes I get in trouble for it.
I'm still in...hook, line and sinker and plan on remaining till she goes boom or bust. You know my position; I'm going to Vegas with you. I'll be back next week. And Thanks.
All the Best, JP
Position Open: Assistant Board Monitor
Salary: Zilch, Nodda, Nill
Work Load: As much as you can handle, just pour it on.
Pay Back: In the cross hairs; meaning they're aiming attcha.
Listen gang, I get hit with literally hundreds of E's from people on the boards...I'm E'd out. I've been board monitor for a very long time and there is no one else taking up the slack. I can't impress enough upon people who continue to ask questions that I'm spent.
I'm not an answer grape. I don't have all the answers. I don't have alot of time either. I work a full time job. I just picked up a CM contract for another building breaking ground this summer. NYU grad school starts again next week and I'm finishing up my capstone (thesis) unabated.
I'm thinking about taking a breather from it. In addition, Chucker just rejected a phone call of mine. Unreal man! JP
Chucker...I apologise...
I have responded to many e's of yours and I hope I'm still in your good graces going forward. With that said, I'm glad to hear that your knee surgery went well and that you will be "walking" to NEOM's headquarters. Know your in my thoughts and prayers. Say hello to DORI. And yes, its gets taxing here at times. All the Best, JP

Virgin to be the first...
Thursday January 13, 2005
Virgin Radio will become the first station to offer pictures as well as sound when it launches a new "visual radio" service in the spring, available via Nokia mobile phones. The broadcaster said its new interactive service would make it easier for listeners to interact with Virgin Radio using their mobile phones, on a 24-hour, seven days a week basis.
Developed by mobile phone giant Nokia, visual radio works by sending images to mobile phones which are synchronised with the station's play list.
Listeners using their mobile phones to tune into Virgin will be able to vote for play lists, rank particular songs, take part in competitions or buy ringtones and tracks by clicking on the various images, rather than sending texts.
Virgin will create the visual content using special software created by Nokia and computer giant HP, which is then broadcast to mobiles.
Nokia, which is introducing two new visual radio enabled mobile models to kickstart the service, claims there will be 100 million of the sets worldwide by the end of next year.
More than 2.5 million people, or just over 5% of the UK adult population, already use their mobile phones to listen to the radio, an increase of over 40% since last year, according to radio advertising body the RAB.
The head of new media at Virgin, James Cridland, said the service would help increase the length of time listeners tuned in on their mobiles, as well as providing key demographic information to advertisers.
"We know from what we've done on the internet that added interactivity boosts our listening hours, with 79% of listeners who use the website tuning in for longer," he added.
"Secondly there's an advertising benefit. For the first time we now know who is listening from the moment they first interact with us. It's adding the red button to the radio in the same way that BSkyB adds it to the TV."
He added that the response from advertisers, who now have the ability to send ads directly to mobiles, had been positive.
The product manager at Nokia, Reidar Wasenius, said the success of visual radio was dependent on both other handset manufacturers and stations adopting the service.
He said Kiss FM in Finland will be the first station to launch the service, when it goes live next month and that discussions with other handset manufacturers were ongoing.
Virgin, whose roster of DJs includes breakfast show hosts Pete and Geoff, was the first commercial station in Europe to broadcast over the internet, where it is currently the most listened to station.

If anyone has not had the privledge or honor of reading Harold Rheingolds Smart Mobs, we here at I-HUB sincerely encourage you (plural) to pick up a copy and read it as follows:
http://www.smartmobs.com/book/index.html
That way you/we can be on the same wave length in our general understanding of this awesome and incredibly powerful technology.
CF was at the forefront of this move back in the late 1980's when he was with IBM. He saw what the future was going to be. The Wall Street Journal Reporter called him a visionary back in 2000. If you've ever had the rare opportunity to meet and speak with him, you will undoubtedly know what they meant.
NEOM capitalized on patenting the super highway called the Bridge. Many deep pocketed firms have tried to steel, pry and even con the patents away from NEOM. Well, it didn't happen. These patents have been enforce for quite some time and have been added to by technology updates to the tune of hundreds per each patent. The smart ones like Symbian have signed licensing agreements and have proceeded very well while others face cease and decist orders under treble damage law suits.
We are going live. Its happening right before our eyes. Everything in the physical world will be connected to hyperspace. It will be ubiquitous and pervasive; meaning everywhere all the time in RT. This wave can not be stopped and woun't be stopped.
Those of us who have been on this thread for a few 24's know fully what we own. That is why we see no "Cons" as others have illuded to. We understand what this shift is doing and what it will do in our lives and the lives of our children. We Longs understand NEOM and eachother because of it. We welcome all to join us. Enough said.
Rock on, JP

To Whom It May Concern:
The I Hub board was created to share information, not just take it. Part of being a productive group is getting input from all of those in it. When many take, take, take, then the give part is less desireable.
My suggestion is this. Spend as much time investigating your investment as you do your next High Def TV. Dont rely on people from this board as your due diligence. Ive seen one lil suggestion turn into a fact within a matter of an hour.
Spend a whole $5, chances are its free if you have an ungodly amount of cell minutes as I do, and call NeoMedia management.
The phone number is 239-337-3434 ask for Chuck Jensen. He is your CEO. Spend a couple minutes and write down your questions ahead of time and I'm sure he will answer them.
Dont ask stupid, non-answerable questions like "is MSFT going to buy you out?", "will GOOG buy you out?"...those are not smart questions that will just make him think else wise. Write down your questions ahead of time, ask him clearly and if he answers them to your satisfaction and you feel good with this guy being in charge of your investment, then you will have done your OWN due diligence.
This is a small company and shareholders are key to their success at this point. You will be able to get a good feeling by speaking to the chief executive officer (Chuck Jensen), if he is the guy that can lead NEOM into this emerging technology space.
Fifteen minutes w/the guy running the show has saved me hours of reading through financial filings. A lot of times, the man in charge in those 15 mins. will make my decision whether to even pursue this any further or want to come back with even more questions.
So quit complaining. Leave JP, Koko, Success and other people alone with endless questions. There has been plenty of info. provided from both Toby Smith's Changewave reports (which cost $3000/yr) and the blog posts of the Pondering Primate.

MovieGuy, you ask some brutal questions...
All I can say is that it's all good. However, patience seems to be a real commodity around here these days.
Also, we don't allow bad brains here either. We truly understand its not their fault; they were just born with them.

The only time we may consider letting him post here is when NEOM's stock trades above $2.50 a share.
