This is straight from Wikipedia on the Canadian Thanksgiving page:
A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed – to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October.
For everyone here that has been patient this week our bountiful harvest has arrived and our blessing will commence shortly, slappeth thy ask to penny land :)
DSCR
Respect, gotta be grateful for me julie.
I'm surprised you stumbled into the right board this time. The technicals speak for themselves. The joint venture details will follow the harvest. It's very simple: harvest = profit.
I will post my question this weekend, not sober at the moment ;) then again I have a feeling if Russell is answering the phone, he might not have enough time to answer his emails this weekend while traveling to Alberta.
Gonna pop the cork with me julie.
Respect DSCR!!!!
Russell hasn't answered my email from this morning yet, wouldn't be surprised if he's boarding a plane to Alberta at the moment. 3500 acres would be stellar :D
I emailed a similar question to DSCR in regards to the mobile processing, I will post it as soon as I get a response maybe Russell is already on his way to Canada for the long weekend :P
Respect
This is where were at right now:

Yup I got the wrong price before close, my post 52308 caught the mistake and sums it up ;) Only own DSCR and not the other.
Gotta respect the DSCR
I guess the puzzle pieces are different, despite not being able to see the JV for DSCR: Harvest = Profit
Using barchart.com we have (gonna make Le2 proud):
ALG@ at a 80% strong sell
and we have our diamond in the rough DSCR at 56% strong buy.
The charts don't lie and how everyone has previously stated below I don't expect harvest to be the sole cause of a spike. I think we all except numbers of the JV and hopefully an expansion to bring us to pennyland.
Respect DSCR!!!
Respect everyone contributing to the board
To all my Americans brothers, be thankful of America's hat this long weekend and celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with me and our JV farmers in Alberta :P
Respect!!
I think he is refering to ALG@ which is harvesting in Vermont.
Went up 23% today on harvest news, I cant find any info on acreage.
Harvest will take place when Le2 reaches 2000 followers!!!!!!
Were so close!!!
In a couple of days were gonna forget about the .0022-.0025 trading range, hopefully break the .003's+
Patients pays
GLTA
Of course, its when the plants are ready that the harvest will take place.
And from the last time I looked Today and Friday is suppose to be superb weather. I don't mind waiting..
I had an article that also stated that hemp harvest in Alberta was around the 18th of October but unfortunately I can't find it.
I wouldnt be surprised if it after the long weekend, I'd welcome it before. At this point 7-10 days of patients wouldn't be the end of the world.
Holiday in Canada though, will our farmers be hard at work?
Counting down the days, lets go DSCR!!!!
Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday,
Were gonna have some farmers being thankful for a fruitful harvest ;)
Get that turkey plumped and buttered
DSCR!!!!
Me too :(
Hopefully they might put out a press release that they will be expanding their acerage. It's suggested to apply for the grow licence as early as November with Health Canada. Would be nice to know next years game plan, if this ends up being lucrative.
Yessir,
I wouldnt even mind having to wait an extra week, we are very close at this point.
Weather looking good in Alberta, its heating up end of week.
Wouldnt be surprised if harvest is announced on friday. Also everyone keep in mind next Monday is Canadian Thanksgiving ;)
Respect DSCR
You are defintely correct, the Mj sector is in a bear market and this is definetely apparent. Let look specifically at Tweed though. Tweed being a first to sector company was the most overvalued in regards to ipo/reverse merger, we can both agree on this. My issue withholding the number of clients is because the hotdog analogy is completely flawed. The business growth of MMPR LP reflects how many clients you can capture and grow your business by. Since more competitors have emerged in the MMPR, the pps has reached fair market value/ its been going down. More competitors will emerge, what do you think will happen?
Lets not create confusion, please look at paperlions post or my previous to clarify.
Lets go DSCR!!!
Im not sure if this answers the question or if i'm just repeating info but this is what I found:
"Next to fibres, shivs and seeds, this year a new topic arises: Cannabidiol (CBD), a by-product from industrial hemp, shows high therapeutic and financial potential without any relevant side effects.
THC, the well-known cannabinoid responsible for the psychotropic as well as several pharmaceutical effects, exists only in very low concentrations in industrial hemp (< 0.2%). In recent years, interest has been increasing in the therapeutic potential of another cannabinoid, which does not cause any psychotropic effects and even in high doses does not cause any relevant side-effects: Cannabidiol (CBD) is the primary cannabinoid of industrial hemp, present in concentrations in the range of 0.5 to 2% in the upper third of the plant. There is potential for therapeutic use in a large number of diseases and symptoms, including anxiety disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, epilepsy, dystonia, diabetes, cancer, inflammatory diseases, Alzheimer’s disease, skin diseases, hepatitis, obesity as well as ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder). CBD can be utilized parallel to the hemp fibres and shivs, giving an extra income."
"A few numbers will show why CBD is so interesting and inspires the imagination of investors and farmers: As a by-product of industrial hemp cultivated for fibres or seeds, around 3 kg CBD per ha can be extracted from flowers, leaves and stems. The market price of pharmaceutical CBD today is between 20,000 and 30,000 €/kg. Also with relevant harvesting, drying and extraction costs, there is potential for an attractive extra profit for the farmers."
From: http://bio-based.eu/news/worldwide-growth-industrial-hemp-fibres-shivs-seed-oil-pharmaceuticals/
No mention of CBD oil from the seeds, once again please correct me if I'm wrong. The more info we can gather together, the better.
Please reread my posts #9900 and #9905, this is definitely at the infancy stage, now that we can agree on something. Whats gonna make or break these early MMPR LP producers is their client pipeline and expanding their clientele. For you this seems like an irrelevant question, all I can say is the chart doesn't lie. I think people are happier to say FIRST than to do a thorough analysis.
Here is some humor for you all:
http://tinyurl.com/lqt5cch
I think the chart and price would reflect number 3 as the most honest. Why would you think its not number 3?
You are right the market establishes fair value and the stock price has been declining. It started off as tremendously over valued, the technical indicators are very easy to read.
I agree you have the highest pps of any LP, you also had the highest pps when you first started trading. We are at an infancy of the MMPR and companies successes will be determined by how many loyal patients they can capture. The evaluation was totally off in regards to Tweed first opening day, the chart in itself speaks volumes.
The hotdog analogy is horrible, of course there is a bottleneck effect. I highly doubt its reason number 4 as there is no evidence to support this.
With number one I'm sure many patients are feeling the frustration around launching a product and it selling out. That definitely with make them analyze how they run their businesses, some patients might stay but the reality is all producers are probably feeling the bottleneck effect.
I believe the stock price reflects reason number 3, personally we can all agree that the number of clients and its growth determines a companies success.
A recipe is proprietary, we can agree on that. Wikipedia TD Bank and they will gladly admit they have over 11 million clients, they have nothing to hide. What is Tweed hiding, the stock price is definitively telling a different price than your response.
I think only if a company was scared would they have to withhold information from shareholders. This is a publicly traded company that is accountable to its shareholders. If you believe that transparency is not essential that is fine.
What makes you believe that Tweed has a higher number of patients compared to Bedrocan or Mettrum?
Can someone send an email to investor relations to clarify?
Press release from 07/22/2014
"Average yield is 1 ton per acre for hemp stalk harvested. The Company is conservatively anticipating a yield of .375 tons of stalk/stem per acre, delivering 59 tons (118,000 pounds or 53,636 kilograms) of available material for processing into concentrated CBD oil. VPR's method for processing and extraction has the potential to reduce operational costs and increase efficiency of CBD oil extraction from industrial hemp, resulting in greater yields and concentrations. The processed hemp from the harvest is anticipated to yield up to 500 kilograms of CBD oil.
The market price of pharmaceutical CBD oil today is between 20,000 and 30,000 Euro Dollars/kg, (Source: Bio-Based News, May 28, 2014, http://tinyurl.com/cbd-pricingeu )."
Notice how it mentions the stalk to process into cbd, seeds have a high value on their own which will generate their own revenue. Also as per the link on DSCR's website my guess is the waste will be made into biofuel, http://discoveryholdingscorp.com/content/biofuels/
Unfortunately I cant find the specific source, feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
I sent emails to Tweed, Bedrocan, Mettrum and Organigram in regards to how many patients they have. These are the following answers I received, no answer yet from OGI.
I sent a standard generic email:
Hello,
As an investor I'd like to know how many patients you have?
Thank you in Advance
*******

Bedrocan was the quickest to answer in the matter of 3 minutes on a Sunday night they replied:
Hi ******,
We currently have 1300 patients registered.
__________________________________________________________________
Followed by Mettrum, responded 1 day later:
******,
Thank you for your inquiry. As per the update in our news release dated October 2, 2014, as at August 1, 2014, Mettrum had registered in excess of 2,100 clients.
Best regards,
