I don't think they would do the deal if the assets weren't real and verified by the appropriate 3rd parties(which has already take place).
They don't have to have cash now. They could finance the deal using the assets as collateral. Happens all the time.
Who says it would be all paper and no cash? May or may not be. Could very well be cash involved. IMHO.
Many companies issue bonds with a nice return attached to them for the investor. Don't think the investors in Aurus' bonds consider themselves idiots when they collect their 12.5% return. Not bad when treasuries are paying 3-4%. IMHO.
They could do the same thing Aurus did. Issue bonds backed by the assets of Krong. IMHO.
The Kartex offer was for all of the assets of the company. The ABVG press release says they would pay $300 million for a 10% share of the company. This equates to $.83 per share for AURC shareholders based upon 360 million shares outstanding. I would take that deal any day. IMHO.
The company has not said that. You may choose to believe or not believe them. It's your choice.
They PR'd in November that the offer for $.55 per share was still on the table. That's the last we have heard. If it sat on the table that long then I am betting that it's still on the table. A bargain for a company with $3.9 billion in assets at Krong alone. IMHO.
Not shares, selling the company. It's worth much more than $.55 per share. Trying to maximize the value for shareholders. IMHO.
Thanks for the update.
Aurus stated in their November 2nd PR that the offer from Kartix was still on the table. Can't believe they would have reiterated that if it wasn't true. IMHO.
If yop don't believe what the company is saying then I would invest in something else. No sense in hanging around here. IMHO.
Will have to wait for the buyout. Pinkie's not tied to the price of gold. IMHO.
Agreed. They obviously have ulterior motives.
If AURC's assets are what they say they are then $.55 is a drop in the bucket and Kartex knows it. They would be getting a big bargain at that price so AURC is testing the waters to see if they can do better. Kartex isn't going to force AURC to accept this lowball offer and they have no reason to let it expire because they would be getting the deal of a lifetime. IMHO.
The $4 billion is the value of Krong only. It doesn't include their other properties. FYI.
The Pres.
Dave, it doesn't look like this is going to last several more months. The Pres said in his letter that he expects to have "definite propositions in January". Hope those propositions are for more than $.55. Good luck.
Looks like they are anticipating an offer higher than the one for $.55 from Kartex. The plot thickens!!
Owning this stock has definitely been the experience of a lifetime hasn't it?
Minor details.
Probably today or tomorrow. IMHO.
Go to lagacelegault.com and you will see. FYI.
It's a mute point at this juncture. We need the geologist's report, financials, meeting confirmation, etc. etc.
Are we selling anything yet? EOM
$.55 is a bargain if there assets are what they say they are. A buyer would have to be crazy to rescind the offer at this price. IMHO.
No need to dilute if they are producing what they say they are. IMHO.
I am new to DMTN. Can anybody tell me what the yearly high and low has been for their stock price? Thanks.
The meeting was for more than just the vote. I believe the meeting will be held and the vote sometime afterwards. IMHO.
Anybody talk to Christine today? I left a message for her yesterday but haven't heard back.
That would be wonderful. Buyout or cash divy is the only way this thing will move. IMHO.
They would have to have a concrete plan to get the stock price over the buyout offer price in the short term in order to reject the buyout. They would probably be entertaining lawsuits from shareholders if they reject the buyout of $.55 and the stock languishes below that. IMHO.
There are only 2 things that will move this stock price: 1) A completed buyout, or 2) A Cash Dividend. All other PR's are discounted as BS by most investors. IMHO.
Agreed. You have to have hair on your chest or rocks in your head to own this baby. I guess I have both. Hopefully I survive to see the end of the story. Good luck.
I'm ready to take the $.55 and move on. This soap opera seems like it's never going to end.
Unless they are selling to themselves to get off the Pinkies and all the !@#$% associated with them.
Just a one cent divy would put this stock past the $.55 buyout price. IMHO.
They are really not difficult questions: 1) Is the meeting still on for the 9th? Yes or No, 2) What is the status of the proxy and approximately when can shareholders expect to receive it?
Are the bozo's going to come out and give us a new timeline for the proxy and tell us whether the meeting is still on for the 9th or not? Some communication would be nice. IMHO.
It is nowhere near the buyout price just like AURC.
